We deconstructed the Air Jordan XI and its impact on sneakers as we looked at the ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan 11 in advance of its hotly-anticipated release, but how about literally? This is what happens when you pull a 10th grade bio-class and pull an AJ11 apart at the sole. You’ll need a box cutter, needlenose pliars and a screwdriver, and off comes the sole, and the icey (yellowed) bottoms from there. With the outsole gone, you get a good sense for how massive the carbon fibre spring plate really is. Flip that jenx over and you’ll be able to strip out the full-length Air sole that was to be the last non-Zoom Air Jordan (still is). It’s just like a YouTube unboxing, except actually fun to look at, and we have more photos after the jump. via Kenlu.
