How many different mid/high-top Nike shoes have spawned a low-cut younger brother? Too many to count. The Nike Zoom Don, however, reverses this trend; The Nike Zoom Spiridon goes from low-top runner to mid-top trainer, similar to how the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 gave way to the Nike Air Hoop Structure. The Nike Zoom Don employs the unmistakeable Spiridon design, but with some interesting changes, with the most blatant of them being the new midsole, which is eerily similar to that of the Air Jordan XIII. The bottom sole has also gone through an entire face-life, going from running-shoe traction to trainer/basketball-ready. Three colourways with a pricetag of $115 are set to release; classic black/red/white, royal/silver/white, and a black/white variety. Check back with Sneaker News for release updates. via chajinyoung.
