When you think of a city skyline, a sunset backdrop comes to mind. The Nike Air Max Skyline is now available in a “Sunset” colourway that Nike has used here and there, most notably in the Nike Air Max Plus that released about a decade ago. The gradient-like coloring give these runners a dual personality: look at it straight on and all you see is yellow, but flip the shoe around and red is all you see. You can cop your pair over at Finishline now.

Not much really needs to be said here. If you’re not aware that the beloved Space Jam Air Jordan XI is being re-released, then you probably wound up on this site by accident. People in the sneaker game have been waiting for these for a long time, and while some have already managed to grab theirs early, for everyone else, the Space Jams will finally be hitting shelves tomorrow, just in time for a nice Christmas gift for yourself. Guaranteed, the lines are already forming outside of Jordan retailers and stock will go fast, so if you haven’t already formulated a game plan for your Space Jam purchase, it might be time to start making last-minute preparations for tomorrow. Happy hunting to all, and thanks to JB for making a lot of sneakerheads’ holiday wishes come true this year.

Kid Cudi who made headlines recently for punching a fan during his concert in Vancouver was spotted last week in Las Vegas, where he hosted a party at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino’s LAVO Nightclub. Cudi was spotted along side model Jamie Baratta along with a fresh pair of Air Jordan IV Retro’s in the Rare Air Laser colorway. These Jordan IV’s were released in limited quantities back in 2005 and it seems that Cudi either picked them up recently or kept them deadstock for all these years. Images via AllUrbanGossip

The Tar Heels expectedly received UNC Air Jordan 16.5 PE. The Hoyas slipped through the cracks and got theirs. The Golden Bears? Better luck next time…for now. Sneaker News stumbled upon a sample pair of Air Jordan 16.5 Cal Player Exclusives, but there has been no official word of its release. The colourway is obviously of the California Golden Bears, with the school logo on the tongue, just like that of the UNC and Georgetown Air Jordan 16.5 PE. Let’s hope Jason Kidd’s alma mater make the Air Jordan 16.5 cut, because the color-blocking is downright golden. If you’re a size 9, grab yours from verbdws on eBay.

Patta has built plenty of momentum with their 5th Anniversary Nike collabs. In fact, we’d like to thank them for helping the Air Max 1 look a bit more tempting to those narrow minded new jacks. We’ve seen plenty of previews of this white/chlorophyll pair, and stateside fans have been become impatient for availability. For some, the wait is over as 21 Mercer has a full size run available starting tomorrow, 12/23. Godspeed to those who are attempting to cop and succeed in their sizes.

Marquee matchups on Christmas Day have been an NBA staple for years now, and this year’s big showdown should be one for the ages. The NBA’s two biggest stars (not to mention Nike’s) will go head to head for the first time this season on Friday, and besides the obvious basketball rivalry, there will be another key face-off taking place on the Staples Center floor. The battle of the kicks will officially be underway at 5pm Eastern time as LeBron breaks out his special Christmas Air Max LeBron VII’s and Kobe debuts the Chaos edition of the Zoom Kobe V for the first time in an NBA game. Regardless of who comes out victorious, we’re the real winners because both pairs will be hitting retail the following day. The Christmas LeBron VII and Chaos Kobe V will be available at Niketown and House of Hoops, with the LeBron shoe also dropping at a few other select Nike retailers. Check out the Christmas game on Friday to see who’s kicks are looking fresher, and if you’ve got any cash left over after this year’s holiday shopping, you can cop yours on Saturday, December 26th. Nike continues its Rival capsules, but has moved onto other forums other than DJCK and Eddie Cruz. We’ve seen how DQM held it down for the East, and now HUF’s reps the West. Appropriately monikered as ‘Hufarache,’ the upper features cracked leather, made popular by HUF’s previous collabs. Black lays on the vamp and ankle color while blue serves as accents. There really isn’t much to have to convince you on these- cop while stock lasts as 21 Mercer just dropped these today.

In a few more weeks Nike Sportswear will release their new Nike Air Classic BW Gen II, an updated version of the Classic BW that was originally introduced back in 1991. The new Classic BW Gen II keeps the original silhouette of the BW in tact while updating the upper with a sonic welded no seam upper along with infusing one of Nike’s newest innovations, Torch, into different parts of the shoe. Torch is a 3-layer textile that is not only lightweight and breathable but also helps with the moisture management inside of the sneaker. Here are some detailed images of the first colorway that will be released in Spring 2010, in Black and White. The shoes laces have been changed to the new Nike (RED) shoelaces. via Sneaker Freaker

People love to hate on Jordan Brand, that is until it drops worthy stuff and then everyone comes out the woodworks claiming “Wow JB 2010 looking serious, I gotta get me some of those, JB is taking my entire paycheck.” Yadda yadda yadda. We know who you are. Keep talking trash, cuz you’re gonna just end up biting your tongue. But it’s true; Jordan 2010 roster is looking not-too-shabby. Here’s a look at some kicks expected to releases between January and March. Stay tuned as more release info is to come in the near future.

We all remember the NBA kicks Reebok put out a few years ago. You’d expect basketball shoes with NBA logos on them would pan out; great concept, not-so-great execution. Forgetting the past, here’s the classic Adidas Phantom II in the Chicago Bulls colourway. The logo on the tongue and team name scribed on the heels are definite tribute to the city’s team, and the solo color-blocking of the team’s primary color make these a must-have for hardcore fans. It looks like other NBA cities will receive renditions of their respective teams as well, so look for your favorite team’s colourways to drop at select Nike retailers in your area. Supply is expected to be limited. via Leaders.
