Nike Air Zoom Speed Spider R Gradient Cheetah

One of the dopest applications of Flywire appears on this new pair of Nike Air Zoom Speed Spider-R runners.  The Zoom Speed Spider-R adds a cheetah print to the side panels that fade from yellow at the toe to red at the heel.  It might sound busy to have Flywire strands and a Swoosh over top of all that, but the chaos is actually really well balanced, especially with the mesh forefoot sections continuing the textured look.

All these lightweight materials and a low-profile Cushlon sole means the shoe weighs just over five ounces, not to mention being breathable, form-fitting and well cushioned!  Premium tech here on the Nike Air Zoom Speed Spider-R, which is available for pre-order today from Flauge.  via FRESHNESS

Nike Air Max 90 Laser Blue Ostrich Leather

Some of the nicest Nike Air Max 90s have featured ostrich leather on the mudguard.  Several of them have played on the beloved Infrared colourway, and this new pair is similar in some ways.  The mudguard is indeed black ostrich leather, but instead of Infrared, there’s a smattering of laser blue accents adding life to the otherwise grey and white design.  They should release to Nike Sportswear retailers soon, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via VMV inc

MVPuppets Dunking On Reindeer

To be honest with you, this is pretty much exactly what we guessed would happen.  Sure, Lupe Fiasco is a talented rhymer, but expecting a reindeer like Blitzen to keep up with Santa-KRS, plus Kobe and LeBron!?  Like the David Allen Grier-voiced Mamba puppet reminds LBJ, “he got hooves, not hands, what the heck you expect!”  This latest MVPuppets video is chock-full of rap video cliches and you can watch it by clicking the jump below.

Holiday Releases @ House of Hoops

2009 is officially a very rich year for holiday sneaker releases and House of Hoops has got you covered when it comes to basketball kicks. Obviously, the biggest story this holiday season is the return of the Air Jordan 11 Space Jams, which will be hitting shelves this Wednesday, December 23rd. The next day will see the release of both the Amare Stoudemire and Nate Robinson Kryptonate Zoom Skyposite PE’s, as well as the Mardi Gras edition of Chris Paul’s CP3.III. By the weekend, there will still be plenty of sneaker damage to do post-Xmas thanks to the Chaos Zoom Kobe V and Christmas Air Max LeBron VII both dropping on Saturday. If you still have the cash and/or energy left by Monday, December 28th, you can pick up the Green Spark Air 1/2 Cents for the grand finale. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

MVPuppets Santa Raps

With the precision required to visit every house in the world in a single night, you know Santa Claus keeps his employees on task.  Old St. Nick demands respect, and in a world where the new Kris Kringle is KRS-One, that means lashing out at an out-of-line Blitzen in a music video, MVPuppets-style.  It’s a Kobe-and-LeBron commercial where Kobe and LeBron are merely cameos (and don’t forget about Lil’ Dez on the wax).  Be sure to check out the hilarious video, after the jump.

Nike Air Max 95 Neon Available

It’s about time for the calendar to turn, so, yep, time for another Nike Air Max 95 Neon retro release.  We say that half-jokingly, since the iconic OG colourway of Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor’s favourite sneaker did drop in a limited release last winter.  The other half is just admiration for one of the best palettes in the history of sneakers, one DJ Clark Kent’s 112 Pack creations owe everything to.  Pay your dues, respect the game and all that, and cop these from Bingorunner.

MVPuppets Blitzen Raps

One, two, one, two, King James and Kobe Too-oo-oo-oo-ooooo

Little doubt that Kobe and LeBron are the NBA’s one, two.  Interestingly enough, the other 1-2 combo is Lupe Fiasco as Blitzen and KRS-One as Santa Claus?!  Nike Basketball has cooked up what might be the best MVPuppets video yet, which is actually a three-part saga.  This first clip shows Blitzen brazenly challenging the boss to a game of b-ball.  Be sure to click the jump below to hear some juicy 808 sounds and of course, the hilarious video

Nike Terminator High NOISE Black Metallic Silver Detailed Images

Hiroshi Fujiwara is probably always busy, but here’s the second sneaker collab from Japan’s preeminent fashion visionary this week!  Using a simple colourway like his Converse Chuck Taylor All Star lowtops, this Nike Terminator High achieves a wholly different result.  Black leather is smooth on the forefoot and lightly tumbled on the rear, with metallic silver adding a jolt on the tongue tag and perforated heel tabs.  Just below those is the ‘NOISE’ lettering that sets these apart from all the rest.  You can do the same and cop these from ABCkicks on eBay.

DJ AM x Nike Dunk High Premium QK New Images

The DJ AM Charity Auction just wrapped up, but his collaborative Nike Dunk High has yet to hit retailers.  Let’s take another, closer look at this shoe inspired by Adam Goldstein’s two passions.  From the picture above, we can see how plushly the ankle area is cushioned, and of course the AC/DC-style DJ AM insignia on the tongue tag.  You’ll get a sense for how the black patent leather heel catches light in the strobe dot perforations, and how awesome that looks against red leather, all after the jump.  via Warped.

adidas Consortium ZX8000 + Torsion SP

If the Darth Vader edition wasn’t your cup of tea, maybe you’d like to go for a run in this new colourway of the ZX 8000 from adidas Consortium.  This pair is styled after one of the original adidas EQT basketball models, and looks fresh (Water) as ever with turquoise splashes on a white/grey/black base.  There’s also a pair of Torsion SP runners in fuchsia with yellow hits whose sandy grey base reminds us of a Trainer Dunk from a couple years back.   Stick with Sneaker News, and we’ll let you know when these are ready to hit retail.  via SF

Nike Air Max 95 LE Black Silver White Metallic Snakeskin

Aside from the OG grey-dient retros from this spring and summer, 2009 was relatively quiet for Nike Air Max 95s.  Here’s a new look to ring in the new calendar, one that would probably look pretty dope on a snowman.  They fade from black down to white, through three shades of grey and two tiers of metallic snakeskin.  It’s a look that goes perfectly with the two-tone corded laces, and is set to drop on December 26th from mita sneakers.

Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (8) Aqua Detailed Images

Here comes everybody’s favourite new sneaker in an iconic colourway.  The Air Jordan Force VIII (AJF8) Fusion is going to drop in March 2010, whether Kanye West likes it or not.  It was rumoured to be the finale for the AJF series, but Fall ’10 catalog pictures have proven otherwise.  In any case, these are a perfect copy of the original Aqua colourway, which looks dope on the two-toned outsole.  Take a look at more photos if you’re still on the fence, and if you need these in your life, cop them early from Kinstor.

Color: Black /Varsity Purple-Aqua Tone
