One, two, one, two, King James and Kobe Too-oo-oo-oo-ooooo
Little doubt that Kobe and LeBron are the NBA’s one, two. Interestingly enough, the other 1-2 combo is Lupe Fiasco as Blitzen and KRS-One as Santa Claus?! Nike Basketball has cooked up what might be the best MVPuppets video yet, which is actually a three-part saga. This first clip shows Blitzen brazenly challenging the boss to a game of b-ball. Be sure to click the jump below to hear some juicy 808 sounds and of course, the hilarious video

Hiroshi Fujiwara is probably always busy, but here’s the second sneaker collab from Japan’s preeminent fashion visionary this week! Using a simple colourway like his Converse Chuck Taylor All Star lowtops, this Nike Terminator High achieves a wholly different result. Black leather is smooth on the forefoot and lightly tumbled on the rear, with metallic silver adding a jolt on the tongue tag and perforated heel tabs. Just below those is the ‘NOISE’ lettering that sets these apart from all the rest. You can do the same and cop these from ABCkicks on eBay.

The DJ AM Charity Auction just wrapped up, but his collaborative Nike Dunk High has yet to hit retailers. Let’s take another, closer look at this shoe inspired by Adam Goldstein’s two passions. From the picture above, we can see how plushly the ankle area is cushioned, and of course the AC/DC-style DJ AM insignia on the tongue tag. You’ll get a sense for how the black patent leather heel catches light in the strobe dot perforations, and how awesome that looks against red leather, all after the jump. via Warped.

If the Darth Vader edition wasn’t your cup of tea, maybe you’d like to go for a run in this new colourway of the ZX 8000 from adidas Consortium. This pair is styled after one of the original adidas EQT basketball models, and looks fresh (Water) as ever with turquoise splashes on a white/grey/black base. There’s also a pair of Torsion SP runners in fuchsia with yellow hits whose sandy grey base reminds us of a Trainer Dunk from a couple years back. Stick with Sneaker News, and we’ll let you know when these are ready to hit retail. via SF

Aside from the OG grey-dient retros from this spring and summer, 2009 was relatively quiet for Nike Air Max 95s. Here’s a new look to ring in the new calendar, one that would probably look pretty dope on a snowman. They fade from black down to white, through three shades of grey and two tiers of metallic snakeskin. It’s a look that goes perfectly with the two-tone corded laces, and is set to drop on December 26th from mita sneakers.

Here comes everybody’s favourite new sneaker in an iconic colourway. The Air Jordan Force VIII (AJF8) Fusion is going to drop in March 2010, whether Kanye West likes it or not. It was rumoured to be the finale for the AJF series, but Fall ’10 catalog pictures have proven otherwise. In any case, these are a perfect copy of the original Aqua colourway, which looks dope on the two-toned outsole. Take a look at more photos if you’re still on the fence, and if you need these in your life, cop them early from Kinstor.

The three-headed monster of HECTIC, mita sneakers and New Balance continues to bring us fresh new takes on some classic New Balance styles. This MT580 gets a crisp winter look courtesy of a dark grey and black suede upper with some tasteful splashes of white and red and a set of bright yellow laces. Like with the other recent collabos from this team, the shoe flaunts a HECTIC pennant lace lock as a stylish finishing touch. These are set to drop at mita on January 2nd, but in the meantime, you can check out some more pics after the jump.

The most recent Nike Air Max LeBron VII was all black, save a few choice metallic gold accents. With the pair pictured above, it’s remarkable how different they look from adding some white. This AML7 has a white mudguard and midsole, along with the Swoosh, which is outlined in gold to match the same LBJ23 button that appeared on the aforementioned Phantoms. The best trick with white this time out is pinstriping the Flywire panel, which makes th shoe look business-classy, in a Tron sort of way. They’re set for retail soon but have already hit VMV inc for pre-order.

In a year that saw a marked improvement in how sneakers were packaged (especially collaborations), this latest effort from adidas might be undervalued. Then again, it probably depends on who you ask about the Star Wars x adidas ZX 8000 Darth Vader Edition. True Star Wars geeks will be pumped to be add the kicks to their collection of blister-packed action figures, but we wonder if other sneakerheads will sleep on these since they already got awesome toy packaging earlier this year that was even closer to the original. Don’t make the mistake of missing out on these subtly-detailed kicks of doom. They’re available now from Italian retailer Superfly Deluxe.

Let’s take an up close look at the Air Jordan Alpha 1. One of the first things that stands out is the plush lining, which is a major upgrade over the typical Retros, which are meant for lifestyle and not so much on-court. Upgrades like that and extra breathability from the perforated side panels should help Jordan Brand ballers, who we expect to be rocking the updated classic in upcoming games.
They might notice a difference in traction, as the stars that line AJ1/Dunk outsoles (the ones you use to decide how much wear a used sneaker has really seen) are added to the ball pivot. Take a look at all these details and more after the jump, and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the Air Jordan Alpha 1 release date. via Kenlu
