Air Jordan CP3.III True Blue Inspired

Seeing classic Air Jordan color schemes show up on new Jordan models is nothing new at this point, but it’s somewhat rare to see them used on signature models. Here we have a look at an upcoming CP3.III colorway that gets its look from the beloved True Blue Air Jordan III’s. As you can see, the shoe sports a White full grain upper with an Elephant print mudguard and a Royal Blue midsole. As if that wasn’t enough to get the True Blue idea across, there are even red eyelet holes to make sure that the concept is hammered home. These are reported to be on the way for Summer 2010, so stay tuned for more pics and info on this interesting new version of Chris Paul’s latest Jordan shoe. Via CounterKicks.

Fluff x Nike SB Release Package Available on eBay

If you’re not up on Nike SB’s recent collab release and event with Fluff Magazine, do your homework.  And if you think this was just some other run-of-the-mill collab shoe, you obviously didn’t research enough.  This past weekend, Fluff hosted a release event for not just their Fluff x Nike SB Bruin, but also their new photo-documentary book, along with the launch of their pop-up shop/ exhibition space in Barcelona.  Getting your hands on these Bruins wasn’t that easy, being that only 24 pairs were produced.  But we’ve already seen details of the kicks.  With every pair was also packaged the 600-page Fluff photo book, a limited edition tshirt and totebag.  Another set like this is currently going for a BIN price of 2-grand!  Here’s your chance to grab a very rare collaborative set on eBay from pirate-du-lac.

Fragment Design x Nike Sportswear Air Footscape Motion Closer Look

We gave a sneak peak of Fujiwara’s latest work for Nike.  The Footscape is yet another Nike classic to get a structural upgrade, being integrated with Flywire in the upper and Free soles.  The uppers seem to be made of ballistic nylon or something to that effect.  These also stand out from some other Footscape Motions we’ve already seen with a NL sort of inside, rather than a typical textile lining.  Fragment Design’s logo is found on the pull tab to complete the unique identity.  Confirming with the previous look, this blue and purple part will be the only two colorways included in this pack.  Part of an Asian exclusive collection, these are penciled in to drop next month.  via HB

Tapestry Sneakers by Emma Sulzer

Weaving, crocheting, knitting – all crafts stereotype as an old fashioned woman’s pastime.  But tapestry artist, Emma Sulzer, is out to break that stigma, creating works to appeal to a younger audience.  Inspired by a friend’s sneaker collection and realizing that footwear has become a focal point of creativity and societal imput, Sulzer found it to be a great format to create new works.  After all, art reflects culture.

Taking about 40 hours to create each shoe, Emma first takes plastic sheets to create the frame of the shoe’s structure, then begins to weave around these pieces for the final composition.  Having years of experience in weaving, she is able to get down to notable details, including creating an icey effect for the Jordan 5 soles.  Though they aren’t wearable, every shoe looks super comfy to rock.  via SF

Nike Air Max 90 Current Moire Spring 2010 Preview

Nike updated the legendary Air Max runner in late 2008.  The Nike Air Max 90 Current hit the scene with a Free sole and smoothed out mesh toebox, but they weren’t done there.  Not only were we to receive a Huarache-inspired pair with Flywire instead of a heel cup, but also a further hybrid with the lesser known Air Moire.

The original Nike Air Max 90 Current Moire pack was tonal suede, with the Moire-like perforations covering an invisibly-seamed upper.  The design has evolved even further now, with this look for next spring replacing those perfs with printed dots of varying sizes.  There’s a tonal grey thing going on with the upper, accented nicely by neon green and blue with a white Free sole to stay in line with Nike’s Spring 2010 looks.  Stick with Sneaker news for updates.  via HS

Supra TK Society Blue Lime Green Spring 2010

Many questioned that the TK Society would be way too high top of a sneaker, undermining function to satisfy design.  But sales contradicts that, continuing to sell well with every release.  For 2010, it seems Supra takes on a some new approaches.  Here a look-see shows a vibrant blue that features not just one accent design, but two – sporting cracked leather and a tonal speckle.  The look is set off with a lime green midsole and black laces, nice compliments to the saturated upper.  Definitely fitting the feel of the season, expect these to drop sometime next Spring.  via MashKulture.

Nike Air Force 1 iD Nike Harajuku Another Look

With the success of the Bespoke studio at 21 Mercer, Nike iD has saved (some) face since closing down its beloved iD Studio at 255 Elizabeth Street in downtown Manhattan.  Hopefully the craze for premium customizations will rise with the introduction of a new studio at Nike Harajuku.  Here we have another look at potential design options, tentatively just for AF1′s.  From the design above, we can see patent leather, contrast stitching, colored midsoles and semi-translucent midsoles, most like MX Soles found at Bespoke.  And as shown last time, custom lace locks.  But who knows what other possibilities are available with these appointment-only customizations.  Stay tuned for any more options as they are revealed.

NBA Feet: Kevin Durant + Oklahoma City Thunder KDII Creamsicles

Yesterday, we gave you a look at an eye-catching new version of Kevin Durant’s KDII shoes that are being referred to as the ‘Creamsicles.’ Last night, Kevin and many of his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates debuted the vibrant kicks on court as they faced off against the Dallas Mavericks. As you can see, the Creamsicles were hard to miss, as the bright orange KDII’s lit up the Ford Center in Oklahoma City en route to an unfortunate 14 point Thunder loss. No word yet on whether or not this colorway will make it to retail, but for now you can keep reading for a look at Kevin and company turning heads during last night’s game. Photos via Yahoo.

Vans Syndicate Paris Pop Up Shop

Vans Syndicate has released some white-hot collaborations over the years.  You may have missed a few of them, but if you happen to be in Europe, you’re in luck.  The Vans Syndicate Pop-Up Shop has just opened in Paris with a full stock of the Fall/Winter 2009 collection and a few choice selections from seasons gone by.  Take a look at more photos after the jump, including just how awesome the wooden shelves look hanging on stone walls.  via Union

Nike Lebron Air Max VII Phantom Available @ NikeStore

There’s no doubt that the Lebron AM VII will go down in history as a revolutionary bball shoe.  We just hope it doesn’t end up like the ZK4 saturating the market, coming out in 100+ colorways.  But this Phantom colorway is acceptable.  Black on black with metallic gold trim.  Clean.  Simple.  Good.  You may not have noticed in previous looks, but the Swoosh has a faint outline of gold dust.  A nice little touch.  If you agree on the design execution, pick up your pair now at Nikestore.

Nike Trainer 1 Tiger Woods PE

What timing to reveal these.  Go ahead, start thinking of things to say when you leave a comment.  We’re not gonna get into morals and ethics, leave his personal life out of it.  It is a shame, though, that his career and endorsements are in question.  Regardless what you think of the situation, you can’t deny his achievements in the game of golf.  Hence, Nike even considering to create this Trainer 1 exclusively for Tiger himself.  We’re a bit surprised of the color choice, being that he’s typically seen rocking black with red trimming.  But brown for this upper looks perfect on the amazing quality of the leather, fit with a white Swoosh and orange accents.  Appropriately, Tiger Woods branding is printed on the insole.  Once again, these will never hit retail.  And in light of the frenzy around his scandal, we don’t think they’d do so well anyway.  via SC

Nike Hyperize Maui Invitational Editions @ House of Hoops

Back in the day when Super Bowls were in January, the World Series was in October and the NBA regular season started in November, we had a holiday tradition at yours truly’s to ring in the new college hoops season with the Maui Invitational opening round games on Thanksgiving Eve.

It’s still a big tourney, but these Nike Hyperize PEs should help regain some of the shine lost to early/mid-November tips.  Pairs in red/navy (Arizona) and black/white/gold (Purdue or Colorado) each feature a flowy hibiscus Hawaiian shirt print on the ankle collar.  Say aloha to your local Foot Locker House of Hoops, who have these now.
