Hiroshi Fujiwara x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

Hiroshi Fujiwara has done a ton of subtly excellent work in collaboration with Nike.  You might be surprised to hear he just finished a fragment design-edition Chuck, but the Swoosh does own Converse, afterall.

So here’s the first look at the Hiroshi Fujiwara for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.  It’s a part of the sprawling 1HUND(RED) collection, but bears no mention.  Instead, there’s a small fragment design embroidered onto the heel in white, adding a flash to an otherwise entirely navy blue upper.  These are set to drop at select Converse retailers everywhere on December 26th.  via HS

DQM x adidas Consortium City Series 2 Pack Detailed Look

We’ve started giving an inside look at adidas Consortium’s third City Series collection, but let’s not move forward too hastily.  Part 2 of the series has started to pop up on the retail side of things, including Dave’s Quality Meat speaking for the New York state of mind. Opting for the current NY steez, the adidas ZX Runner is all black-out fitted with rugged waterproof fabric and metal eyelets and lace aglets to keep you dry and comfy.   Certainly for the pedestrian or biker in mind, these are perfect for trekking through streets filled with rain, snow or any other type of grime that you might have to confront.  Topped off with DQM branding on the tongue and embossed on one of the leather stripes.  Limited in quantity, available now at the DQM shop.

UNDFTD U Man x Nike MVPuppets T Shirts + Release Info

Last year didn’t turn out exactly as planned, but Nike still found a way to make MVPuppets relevant for the long NBA regular season.  Summer saw a Lil’ Dez t-shirt and Big Nike High, and now the puppets are teaming up with one of the biggest names in streetwear.  The Undefeated ‘U-Man’ anthropomorphized varsity letter got up with Kobe and LeBron, each for their own co-branded tee.  They’re dropping exclusively at UNDFTD chapter and web stores on Saturday, December 19th.

Air Jordan IX (9) Black Citrus 2010 Sample

Up until the pair seen during the Countdown run, we haven’t seen anything for the Air Jordan IX.  You can count the Silver Anniversary or White/Red Collection, but neither are up for grabs, so they don’t really count.  It’s one of those underrated Jays, but definitely has some loyal followers with strong colorways like the Cool Greys, Olives and Powder Blues.  It’s quite rare that a sample pops up that the internet doesn’t reveal within nine months of its anticipated release.  But this pair certainly went under the radar.  Expected to to drop in mid 2010, this pair rocks a slick black upper, white sole and bright citrus accents on the Jumpman logos, #23 and trim around the tongue.  The mudguard features the grainy 3M material found on a few other AJ 9′s. Nike Zoom Kobe V Deconstructed

It’s already been well documented that the new Nike Zoom Kobe V is pretty innovative in its design, specifically its amazing 10.6 ounce weight. Nike’s lightest basketball model ever owes its feather-like weight to a super streamlined and stripped down construction. You may have already seen our thorough Zoom Kobe V tech breakdown, and here we take things a step further with a look at a dissected Kobe V specimen that shows off each individual component of the shoe. The philosophy here with the extra-low cut and the bare minimum materials seems to be ‘less is more,’ and that means that what little you do see making up the shoe has been proven to be extremely durable despite the minimalist appearance.

As you can see, the entire upper is pretty much a one-piece Flywire-infused shell using heat-bonding technology to apply the overlay sections. You can also get a great look at the perforated mesh tongue and the cap and ankle wrap sections of the sculpted heel, as well as the layers of the midsole and outsole. Keep reading for a detailed look at the Zoom Kobe V, stripped down to each individual element for your viewing pleasure. Via HK-Kicks.

Sole Collector x Upper Deck Autographed Air Jordans

Michael Jordan’s signature is often displayed in subtle ways on Air Jordan sneakers.  The Air Jordan XX3 might be the best example, with its black and red edition sporting multitudes of the signatures laser etched on the toebox, plus the side panels that blend MJ’s flowy John Hancock with UNC’s signature argyle pattern.

Those kicks and two other heavyweights from the Jordan legacy are pictured above with Upper Deck-endorsed signatures.  To the left are the Carmine Air Jordan VI, along with the banned black and red AJ1 High.  take a look at more photos after the jump, and stick with Sneaker News for the hottest Air Jordans.  via SC

Dior Homme High Top Sneakers 2010 Preview

Segregating tennis shoes and trainers from high fashion is now a thing of the past.  It looks like even high-brow designers are looking to mix their sophisticated tastes with a casual rubber-soled fit.  Here, Dior Homme expands their high-top collection with this new mummified lace look.  True, they look rather complicated, but it’s actually quite a cinch to slide your feet in with a full zipper along the back of the shoe.  Simple in it’s tooling, the sneakers come in full black, white, grey or taupe uppers.  Expect them to start popping up early next year. via Materialiste

Air Jordan Classic 91 Red Black Available on eBay

Why is it that the new Air Jordan Classic 91 doesn’t resemble the Air Jordan V or VI very much?  Sure, they have the AJ5′s plastic eyelets, but there’s more ’86-’87/AJ2 in the Wings logo, while the side panels resemble the Melo M6 more than pretty much anything else.  Confusing name aside, these joints go with the can’t miss mix of black and red and are sure to turn a few heads.  If you’re looking for something new in your Jordan Brand collection, hit up 95Soleman on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Highs + Janoski 2010 Preview

After taking a backseat to the Blazer in 2009, we’re set to see a huge rush of dope Dunks next year.  Here are two Nike SB Dunk Highs pictured above.  One of them is a clear New York homer and we knew it was coming, but the Afro-patterned wool joints are sure to have you thinking of the old school Air Raid commercials with Tim Hardaway and Spike Lee.  Don’t forget about the olive green Stefan Janoskis, which look dope in olive suede and brown corduroy.  All three are waiting for you after the jump.  via Colmilludo

Nike Terminator High Premium TZ Ueno vs Harajuku Rival Pack

Twin Terminators seems to be a good theme, so let’s try it again. For the second time this week, we’re getting two similar Nike Terminator Highs that are both black. It’s the Japanese edition of the Rivalry Pack, with Harajuku represented by a DNA-like heeltab and Harajuku’s hightop has more of a glow in the dark feel with its neon green piping. Both of these district-repping pairs are available from mita sneakers in Ueno, Tokyo on December 23rd.
