The NBA requires players’ shoes to match their team’s primary uniform colours. That’s why Andre Iguodala’s insane gum-soled Nike Hyperize PEs will never touch down at Comcast Center, and why you’re only going to see the above pictured joints on Christmas.
The league gifts players with a chance to wear something special each Santa day. Especially now that it has evolved into their biggest single TV day in the regular season, Dwight Howard is sure to turn heads with his ‘Magic Beast’ edition of the adidas TS Supernatural Commander. The base is black with blue speckles, upon which accents in the three primary Superman colours are laid. There are alot of nice details on this oneso check out more photos after the jump. via Foot Locker

This Saturday Nike Sportswear will be releasing the Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme “Eddie Cruz” part of the East vs West Rivals Pack. The embossed snakeskin leather upper seems to be way more realistic in texture and color than many of the other snakeskin prints and patterns on previous sneakers. These AF 1 Highs also come with some nice patent leather details for the strap and swoosh, as well as a rarely seen stitched leather misole sitting atop 0.44 Sticky Rubber outsoles. via Nike

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant sure has been doing his thing, while holding his team on his back. Although He hasn’t really been getting the press you’d expect, but he’s got enough to have his own signature sneaker. A few colorways of the Nike KDII have been unveiled already for the Spring 2010 collection, although none as unique as these. These KDII’s are wrapped in a full bright orange colorway, from upper to midsole, thus the namesake “Creamsicles”, while the only real contrasting color is the purple swoosh. Kevin Durant is said to be rocking these for todays match up against the Dallas Mavericks, so keep a look out. via InsideNike

We gave a glimpse at these two WMNS Terminators not too long ago. Seems that whenever Nike drops womens’ stuff, specifically Terms, it’s always in sets of two. Supposedly representing a Day and Night theme, one pair rocks a waxy leather black upper with a purple sole and extraordinarily long laces, while the other sports black nubuck and a studded belt looping around the ankle. Both pairs pairs quite unique and fresh in their own right. Previously only seen overseas, these are now available, stateside, at 21 Mercer.

Chinese New Year is on February 14, 2010, but we’re seeing plenty Year of the Tiger kicks already. Reebok has a pack of, what else, Pumps, rockin’ tiger stripes and now Nike is adding another one of its standby models to the jungle. The ballistic nylon Nike Dunk High in black with orange and white stripes looks dope with a gum sole, but we wouldn’t blame you if you picked the white and red joints with that St. John’s BTTYS vibe. Better yet, get both of them, plus the black, red and white lowtops, all available now at Nike Sportswear retailers including their SoHo flagship store.

Back in October we gave you a preview of the Spring 2010 Air Jordan 1 High Premier, here we have some more detailed images. These Retro 1′s come in a new dark army colorway with a rich full nubuck upper. A more unique accent is the perforated toe box and side panels. The white midsole sitting atop a gum outsole brings the whole monochromatic colorway together very nicely. These are due in stores February 2010 but you can get these Air Jordan 1 Retro High Premiers now from Dunk.com.cn.

It’s no secret that many Air Jordan fanatics are less than pleased with the changes that Jordan Brand has made to some recent and upcoming Retro releases. Whether it be the alternate materials or colors that have appeared on some Jordan classics, lately many sneakerheads have been left feeling unfulfilled by the subtle changes. Luckily for everybody though, the White/Varsity Red edition of the Air Jordan XII seems to have undergone little to no transformation from its original form. The colors and materials appear to be spot-on, leaving all those Jordan purists with not much to complain about. If you’re still not sure and need to see for yourself, check out these side by side comparison pics of the OG 1996 version alongside the new Retro edition for further analysis. If you’re satisfied with the results, be aware that the Retros will officially be hitting stores this Saturday, December 19th, just in time to bring you some hearty Christmas joy. Via Kenlu.

We love to floss in fresh kicks, but it’s just as cool to see your children and/or little siblings boppin’ hard in dope pairs as well. Though many of the popular Jordans come in GS sizes, we tend to forget that there are some exclusively for the little feet. Case in point; these Jordan VI’s, sporting a crispy white and coral rose colorway. Obviously geared towards girls and women, expect these to drop sometime January 2010. In fact, Opium has ‘em up for pre-order now.

Did you know that Kevin Durant reached 4,000 NBA points at a younger age than anyone not named ‘LeBron Raymone James’?! How is it that the ‘little’ big man is not getting more press? Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder are over .500 for the longest period in franchise history, so if they keep winning, we’ll keep seeing him on TV with kicks like these.
The Nike KD II is a perfect match for its recipient, a strapped midtop that makes the most of OKC’s orange and blue uniform colours. This pair uses a subtle gradient on the mudguard piping, plus double contrast stitching to tie everything in together nicely, while the various words and letters on this shoe are just like Kevin: slender and sleek. They just arrived at Dunk.com.cn, so they should be on their way to the US early in 2010.

In the time-honoured (read: past couple weeks) tradition of lining up the entire history of Air Jordans, here’s Foot Locker’s take. Theirs is not an in-store installation, but rather a slick Flash-based web page that lets you easily surf through the past 25 years without a single refresh. Some purists might be bummed that they used only Countdown Pack versions of the first 22 Jays (or that the AJ1 is listed as ’1986′), but this compendium of kicks from the GOAT is still worth a look.

The combination of Dutch sneaker kings, Patta, and the Nike Air Max 1 has been a marriage made in heaven so far, as three different colorways of the shoe have recently popped up from the Patta/Nike team. Most recently, the denim/corduroy edition hit shelves to a warm reception from sneakerheads. A few days back, we gave you a glimpse of the fourth installment of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 collaborations, and now, we finally get a better look. As you can see, the shoe sports a simple, but crisp color scheme thanks to a solid Black woven canvas upper with sections of nylon ballistic mesh and metal eyelet rings. A clean White midsole and Swoosh add some contrast, with a classic gum outsole and some splashes of bright Green providing the finishing touches. Patta’s logo is featured on both heels as well as the tongue labels, rightfully stamping the kicks with the signature of their designer. If you’ve been anxiously waiting on these to finish your set, they will be dropping Friday at Patta and select Tier Zero retailers.

The bred Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13) released several weeks early at the Houston House of Hoops grand opening. They’ll re-release with the special ‘Space City’ insoles along with several other Houston-inspired Jays, this Saturday at Chicago’s HoH.
Included in the mix are the Air Jordan 1 Retro in a black/white/red look that echoes the AJF13′s borrowing from the OG Playoff Away Air Jordan XIII’s balistic nylon side panels, plus another in white with a strap. That white pair follows the same quasi-patriotic motif as a pair of Air Jordan Force IVs (AJF 4) that wrap up this collection. If you’re in Chi-town on Saturday, December 19th, be sure to head over to Foot Locker‘s House of Hoops and grab a pair or four.
