Sex Pistols impresario Malcolm McLaren got up with Vans and Supreme back in May for a pack of V-79s. Here comes another collection of simple lowtops said to be inspired by 1977′s British Punk Rock scene, this time by Opening Ceremony on the Keds Champion. There are three pairs in the set, each with its own eye-catching animal printed horsehair upper. Interestingly enough, these have a sort of pastel ‘camo’ pattern that also appeared on Supreme’s recent set of Vans 106s, so if you liked those, these are a can’t miss. These are available now at Opening Ceremony in NY, LA and Tokyo, plus Paris’ colette and Harvey Nichols in London.

The Zoom Hustle has quietly established itself as another strong performance basketball model form Nike. Picking up where the classic Hyperflight left off, the Zoom Hustle goes with a slightly more traditional look in terms of materials and design. We’ve already seen an all patent leather version and the Tony Parker PE, and now we get a look at another version, this sporting a heavily perforated Black leather upper with a bright Electrolime mudguard and accents. This bold color scheme gives the otherwise simple silhouette a nice new punch that ensures that these kicks will stand out on any court. If you’re feeling this new look for the Hustle, you can get yours at House of Hoops locations this weekend. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

And the search continues. The MVPuppets star in another installment of the Mystery of the Missing VII. The last clip at least promotes product specs for the new Lebron shoe, but this one is pure gratuitous humor, as clues reveal the culprit of the missing pair. Enjoy the vid.

The ballistic nylon and patent leather cool grey joints set for next March have caused alot of buzz, but a simpler take on the Air Jordan Flight 45 High has become available today. This pair relies on the tonal effect of black suede atop black leather for some depth, while a few choice touches of white brighten the whole look. These strapped hightops should go perfectly with anything except your navy blue peacoat, and are available now from 95Soleman on eBay.

Nike did a few sneakers this year to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the lunar landing. But for the most part, they were too focused on Lance Armstrong to really give Neil his due. As the only guy who didn’t beat Neil to the lunar surface, Buzz Aldrin also knows a thing or two about being overlooked, but Nike 6.0 is set to rectify that very soon.
The Nike 6.0 Rocket Hero Mavrk Mid 2 is ‘by’ Buzz Aldrin in the sense that photos he took on the moon cover this shoe’s base layer. On top of that is a suede overlay that yields to metallic silver leather on the inner Swooshes (symbolizing the light and dark sides of the moon). It’s a striking design and a moonboot footprint on the insoles finishes the theme nicely. ‘BUZZ ALDRIN ROCKET HERO’ reads like a Hollywood movie poster on the tongue tag for this show that premieres at select Nike 6.0 retailers on New Year’s Day 2010.

Nike’s SFB has taken the military boot to new heights of performance. It’s Free-soled and kevlar sheathed, but doesn’t actually go into battle. The real fighting is still left up to Armed Forces-issue gear, including boots equipped with rugged Wolverine Warrior Leather. Splitting the difference is this Warrior Pack of Mountain Edition ‘S’ kicks from Vans Syndicate. There are a ton of performance advantages with the Warrior leather that you can see in full detail in a video after the jump. via HS

We’ve already given an in-depth tour of the latest adidas Consortium City Series Pack. In case you missed out, here’s another look at Colette and Crooked Tongue’s pair. Conforming to the theme of the collaborative pack, both are appropriately designed and dressed to match the respective city that the collaborative brands are from. Colette, always known for their attention to detail, takes on the colors of the French flag to accent this white shoe. The stripes take on a polka effect, one just blue, one just red and the middle mixing the two. The heel tab is garnished with Colette’s logo, while the sole features a partial translucent section, revealing the same red and blue polka dotted pattern found on the stripes.
While the Colette pair gives national pride, the Crooked Tongues pair is more influenced by its specific demographics. Tributing to the CT’s Soho home, the shoes are themed like a raincoat to represent the typical climate. A water-resistant upper is the backlay to the black and red color scheme, on top of a dark gum sole. Found on the peculiar embossed tongue is a British Pint graphic, while the insole shows British sophistication with a slick plaid pattern.
Both the Collete x adidas and the Crooked Tongues x adidas Consortium pairs available now at Collette.

The last time we saw Reebok referencing the Zodiac was the Chinese New Year Pump, rocking a traditional Chinese colors with a golden Ox. As our eyes are set on 2010, Reebok gladly welcomes the Year of the Tiger. More specifically this year signifies the Metal element of the Tiger, standing out of the crowd with quickness and strength. These two pairs certainly stand out of the crowd, covering the uppers with tiger stripes. The Insta Pump Fury follows a colorway similar to the Ox Pumps, with a traditional Asian red/gold/black scheme. The Pump Omni Lite, however, has a more subtle approach to manifest its beastly side, rocking a tonal black pattern on patent leather with gold accents. Though the Chinese New Year is an even longer wait than the traditional celebratory timeframe, you can cop this Insta Pump Fury or Pump Omni Lite from Mita now and start the new years off right.

adidas was doing some intriguing, if crazy, stuff with Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers before he left for Nike. Aside from his eternal urge to be like (better than?) Mike, we think that some special treatment from Beaverton had something to do with it. From the looks of this Nike Air Flightposite, it seems clear that the Swoosh was courting KB as far back as 1999 (and of course they tried to sign him out of high school). It’s the ‘standard’ eggplant purple Flightposite, but this one has ‘KOBE’ embroidered in yellow on the heel strap. Pull your collection into elite territory by copping the only available size 12 from LaceLocked.

If you are into sneakers and had a pulse last February, you’re probably well aware of the huge splash made by Nate Robinson’s Kryptonate edition of the Nike Foamposite Lite. Now the Kryptonate look is making its way onto another Nike Basketball model from the “Posite” family. We’ve already given you a few sneak peeks at the Kryptonate Zoom Skyposite, but now we bring you some new images, as well as info on where to get yours early. The Nate Robinson Kryptonate Foamposite Lite dropped in very limited quantities at House of Hoops last winter, and while there’s no indication that these will be as hard to find, you might want to play it safe and get yours early from RMKstore on eBay.
