Here’s a look at one of the latest colourways of the Asics Gel Lyte III. We don’t need to tell you that these look alarmingly like a Livestrong colourway, but there are no apparent ties between Asics and Lance Armstrong’s Nike line; nonetheless, the color combo is still fresh. Forgetting about the colourway and the resemblance to Livestrong, these are still primarily a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III. The customary split tongue, mesh toe, leather upper, and Gel cushioning are what make these so great…the colourway is just an added bonus. Grab your pair from German footwear retailer Schuh-You.

It’s about time Tiger got some attention , and I mean the good kind. Each passing year, Nike releases a commemorative colourway, honoring the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. One of the more notable pairs are the Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Rooster, which came in a decorative colourway and horsehair trim. 2010 is the Year of the Tiger, and these limited Nike Dunk Low GS does a phenomenal job at honoring the fierce mammal that commands respect. It features a tiger faux-fur print on the toebox, center panel, and rear heel, finished off with black leather and yellow trimming. These are a GS model, meaning they are available in Boys sizes, but if I were a betting man, I’d expect a pair of Year of the Tiger Nikes for adults. Earn your stripes at Rakuten.

This year’s Christmas surprise by Nike comes in the form of a Nike Air Force 1 Premium Quickstrike in a festive Christmas/Snowflake colourway. What an interesting way to name a colourway. The snowflake colored midsole, inner lining, and shoelaces can be best described as an eggshell/grey color, while the contrasting Christmas colourway is found covering the luxurious leather upper and bottom sole. Christmas and snowflakes go hand-in-hand, as you can see by the tiny snowflakes on the Nike label on the tongue. Visit Caliroots and cop your Christmas Quickstrikes, regardless of whether you’ve been naughty or nice.

During the epic battle between Bruce Lee and Han towards the end of “Enter The Dragon”, Han manages to scar Bruce Lee with his artificial claw. We see the same shreds on the forefront of this newly revealed colourway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, based on a simple, Lakers-based yellow/black colourway with the lacerations revealing red. This goes to show you that while Kobe, like Bruce, isn’t immortal and is capable of shedding blood, Kobe’s ferocity will prevail at the end. Bruce Lee states that “boards don’t hit back”, and Kobe takes that same mindset in his training and performance. Both Bruce Lee and Kobe Bryant do share a lot of attributes that have made each the elite of their peers, but let’s be glad Kobe doesn’t share Bruce’s hairdo. via MarqueeSole.
Update: Thanks to Coach J for the note, this colorway of the Zoom Kobe V is more of a Bruce Lee inspired colorway than a single movie colorway. The scars are a reference to the Enter The Dragon movie while the colors are inspired by the Game of Death movie where Bruce Lee battles Hakim (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) in a yellow and black jump suit.

Converse’s latest graphic on its timeless Chuck Taylor is the result of a post-humous collaboration with Verner Panton, an innovative talent of design and architecture during the 20th century. Panton’s most notable piece of work is arguably the Fantasy Landscape, in which he created a world of bold colours, opposite of the colorless and dreary life he described as “beige conformity”. The beige base with faded rainbow graphic seen on these Converse Chuck Taylors is more than just a colourway; its represents Verner Panton’s thesis and vision, in sneaker form, of course. Ben Drury gets his hands on a pair of Nike Air Max 90 Current in Nike’s latest collaboration with the artist and designer from across the pond. Despite being monikered the “Silent Listener”, the colourway speaks volumes: The black base with blue trim and white midsole is as calming as a stroll through the streets of London. As Drury himself puts it, “Distances shrink with the right footwear”, but with a pair of the Silent Listeners on, you’d want to walk forever. Drury had a similar London-inspired motif for his Nike Air U Breathe Tier 0 project. Just 125 pairs of these will drop on December 11th, exclusively at the Nike Sportswear Flagship store in London. via Freshness.

At long last, we finally get some concrete info on the fragment design x Nike Sportswear Terminator High Premium collaboration. Dubbed the NOISE editions, we’ve seen some sneak peeks of two different colorways of the shoe, but so far info has been spotty. Although we’re still waiting for some specifics on the White NOISE Terminators, it appears that the Black/Metallic Silver version will be hitting the Nike Sportswear in Tokyo this Saturday, December 11th, along with a matching Black t-shirt. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the White/Silver colorway and whether or not a U.S. release is in the plans. Via PLOG.

The chukka boot look is certainly in, and just because Nike is an athletic brand doesnt mean they’re missing out on some good lifestyle footwear. The Toki ND gives the a chukka look a slick appeal, featuring a traditional suede upper. The obsidian takes over the entire upper while vivid pink garnishes the accents. Too bad the Swoosh wasn’t pink, it’d be a great new-age follower to the OG Stussy Blazers. Cop ‘em while you can at 21 Mercer

We remarked how versatile the Nike Zoom Skyposite was a little earlier today. Power dunking big man Amar’e Stoudemire has his own PE set for a release any time now, and Nate Robinson’s won’t be too far behind. A sendup of February’s unforgettable Foamposite Lite, Robinson’s signature Kryptonate green looks just as good with a healthy dose of black accent hits. A translucent outsole helps to enhance the radioactive look, something fans are sure to be after when they drop soon. You can count on Sneaker News to let you know exactly when. via HK-Kicks

The Nike Air Footscape already had a futuristic look. It’s a sneaker that’s even now still ahead of its time, but maybe somehow a performance upgrade will help it mesh with today. And no, it’s not Nike’s new Torch mesh fabric, although, that might turn out to be amazing. Instead, these pairs of Footscapes are Flywire-equipped and Free-soled. The Nike Footscape Freemotion is set for a spring 2010 release. via Tenisfuki

The Nike basketball dynasty is one that will live on forever, so it’s only proper to give tribute to one of its trailblazers. Here are two new colourways of the Nike Dynasty Hi, the nearly three-decade old shoe brought back to help the current generation get in touch with the roots of Nike basketball. The design screams vintage, but these fresh new colourways break away to give these classics a twist. The first metallic blue colourway combines aquamarine, hot pink, and black, while the second uses a lustrous silver and its own selection of vibrant colors. Combined with the time-honored design of the Nike Dynasty Hi, you’ll definitely be paying your respects with style. Grab yours from Korea-based shop Kasina.
