Nike KD II Kevin Durant Black Photo Blue Team Orange New Images

Did you know that Kevin Durant reached 4,000 NBA points at a younger age than anyone not named ‘LeBron Raymone James’?!  How is it that the ‘little’ big man is not getting more press? Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder are over .500 for the longest period in franchise history, so if they keep winning, we’ll keep seeing him on TV with kicks like these.

The Nike KD II is a perfect match for its recipient, a strapped midtop that makes the most of OKC’s orange and blue uniform colours.  This pair uses a subtle gradient on the mudguard piping, plus double contrast stitching to tie everything in together nicely, while the various words and letters on this shoe are just like Kevin: slender and sleek.  They just arrived at Dunk.com.cn, so they should be on their way to the US early in 2010.

History of Air Jordan Feature on Foot Locker

In the time-honoured (read: past couple weeks) tradition of lining up the entire history of Air Jordans, here’s Foot Locker’s take.  Theirs is not an in-store installation, but rather a slick Flash-based web page that lets you easily surf through the past 25 years without a single refresh.  Some purists might be bummed that they used only Countdown Pack versions of the first 22 Jays (or that the AJ1 is listed as ’1986′), but this compendium of kicks from the GOAT is still worth a look.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Premium TZ First Look

The combination of Dutch sneaker kings, Patta, and the Nike Air Max 1 has been a marriage made in heaven so far, as three different colorways of the shoe have recently popped up from the Patta/Nike team. Most recently, the denim/corduroy edition hit shelves to a warm reception from sneakerheads. A few days back, we gave you a glimpse of the fourth installment of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 collaborations, and now, we finally get a better look. As you can see, the shoe sports a simple, but crisp color scheme thanks to a solid Black woven canvas upper with sections of nylon ballistic mesh and metal eyelet rings. A clean White midsole and Swoosh add some contrast, with a classic gum outsole and some splashes of bright Green providing the finishing touches. Patta’s logo is featured on both heels as well as the tongue labels, rightfully stamping the kicks with the signature of their designer. If you’ve been anxiously waiting on these to finish your set, they will be dropping Friday at Patta and select Tier Zero retailers.

Houston Inspired Air Jordans @ Chicago House of Hoops Saturday

The bred Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13) released several weeks early at the Houston House of Hoops grand opening.  They’ll re-release with the special ‘Space City’ insoles along with several other Houston-inspired Jays, this Saturday at Chicago’s HoH.

Included in the mix are the Air Jordan 1 Retro in a black/white/red look that echoes the AJF13′s borrowing from the OG Playoff Away Air Jordan XIII’s balistic nylon side panels, plus another in white with a strap.  That white pair follows the same quasi-patriotic motif as a pair of Air Jordan Force IVs (AJF 4) that wrap up this collection.  If you’re in Chi-town on Saturday, December 19th, be sure to head over to Foot Locker‘s House of Hoops and grab a pair or four.

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low White Electric Green

Ladies are handily outnumbering mens releases when it comes to Nike Air Force 1s this week.  The latest is a womens lowtop in the subtle ’07 reshape that’s been most common at retailers since the AF1′s 25th Anniversary.  And they’re a good indication of why the it has incredible staying power, as the application of lime green on the outsole, tongue tag and heel tab makes for a springy delight when mixed with white patent leather.  Cop yours today from Dunk.com.cn

Maharam x Nike Blazer High + Oregon Waffle Horsehair Pack

After their stellar work on a Nike Air Force 1 from last year’s 1World series, sneakerheads were excited to see samples with ‘Maharam’-emblazoned insoles.  Turned out that those were actually part of a Winter Journey Pack, and the 107 year old New York textile maker had something else up their patterned sleeve. Maharam has designed two Nike Blazers and one Oregon Waffle runner, all three featuring heaping helpings of horsehair.  Each has a unique weave, so while the Blazers are very similar, each has its own personality.  These will be hitting select Nike Sportswear retailers on December 19th, but in the meantime, you can check out some more pics and info after the jump.

Opening Ceremony x Keds Champion Animal Print Pack

Sex Pistols impresario Malcolm McLaren got up with Vans and Supreme back in May for a pack of V-79s.  Here comes another collection of simple lowtops said to be inspired by 1977′s British Punk Rock scene, this time by Opening Ceremony on the Keds Champion.  There are three pairs in the set, each with its own eye-catching animal printed horsehair upper.  Interestingly enough, these have a sort of pastel ‘camo’ pattern that also appeared on Supreme’s recent set of Vans 106s, so if you liked those, these are a can’t miss.  These are available now at Opening Ceremony in NY, LA and Tokyo, plus Paris’ colette and Harvey Nichols in London.

Nike Zoom Hustle Black Electrolime @ HOH

The Zoom Hustle has quietly established itself as another strong performance basketball model form Nike. Picking up where the classic Hyperflight left off, the Zoom Hustle goes with a slightly more traditional look in terms of materials and design. We’ve already seen an all patent leather version and the Tony Parker PE, and now we get a look at another version, this sporting a heavily perforated Black leather upper with a bright Electrolime mudguard and accents. This bold color scheme gives the otherwise simple silhouette a nice new punch that ensures that these kicks will stand out on any court. If you’re feeling this new look for the Hustle, you can get yours at House of Hoops locations this weekend. Via FootLockerUnlocked.
