You don’t hear about them nearly as much as you used to, but back around the time of the Dream Team, probably the most famous other national basketball squad was from Lithuania. Inspired by Grateful Dead imagery, their tie-dyed warmups were the talk of international basketball.
Cop one of those and consider yourself a real cool kid, if you can get your hands on a pair of this new Nike Air Max Hyperize colourway. Multicoloured Flywire is always dope, but the yellow-on-green speckled sole draws even more attention to the Air Max 360 cushion. Welcome home, Dwayne Wade. Here’s your first non-retro, non-hybrid Air Jordan PE. This W3LCOME HOME Air Jordan 2010 could have earned a ton of nicknames had JB not practically named them the day D-Wade signed this summer. Cherry something, apples whatever; the shade of red on these is both unique, and still makes you think of the recently retroed white/red Air Jordan XII. These will likely ride find their own playoff legacy on Wade’s feet, the only question is, how far will they go? via Kinstor

What is it with the peanut butter cup-looking Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes today? To be fair, crocodiles are naturally brown, so the urge to add that deluxe fabric is at least part of the trend. This pair definitely has its own identity with the burnt orange and creme colour suedes and a double-layered Swoosh. Denim only on the heel tabs is a nice touch too. Think you can come up with something just as good? Call up Nike Sportswear in NYC for an appointment.

If you say ‘Clot‘ to a sneakerhead, burning silk is probably one of the first images to come to mind. Their 1World Nike Air Force 1 was one of the most spectacular collaborations of all time, so they can get away with a blatant tease like this. The Chinese brand is teaming up with Kazuki Kuraishi on his ObyOKZK collection for adias Originals, including this kzkLOT-branded adidas Superstar ‘Breathe’. Stick with Sneaker News for more updates.

Akron, Ohio was unheard of until Lebron James, and it’s believed by many that had Lebron not gone straight to the NBA from High School he either would’ve gone to the Ohio State University or the University of Akron, where a number of his high school teammates from St. Vincent St. Mary’s ended up playing their collegiate basketball. While Lebron didn’t attend either of the schools, he has played a major role in helping both colleges get more apparel and special footwear products since he’s signed his multi-year endorsement deal with Nike. The University of Akron has since been the recipient of various special Nike Basketball Lebron Player Exclusive’s including this newest Nike Air Max Lebron VII in the University of Akron colors of Navy, Gold, and White. On the inside of the heel you can find the University of Akron Zips logo. No word yet on availability but you can pick up a pair now at marqueesole.
