Special occasions, like a wedding for example, requires one to wear a suit and tie. An event like Sneaker Con 2010 also demands proper attire, which emphasizes one one particular article of clothing; sneakers. Sneaker News set aside a select number of pairs that caught our attention, based on rarity, condition, and the inexplicable WOW-factor, and it was no easy task. Everyone came dressed to impress, and they certainly accomplished that with their choice of kicks.
The Nike Air Max 1, like the Grand Piano, Safari, and AJIV-inspired iD, took the Air Max crown. Air Jordans made their mark as usual; peep the OG Air Jordan 1 and uber-crisp Olympic VI. We can’t overlook the Entourage Air Force Ones, the Staple x New Balances, or the trio of Yeezys. The ladies more than held their own, as some matched their outfits impeccably with Supreme Blazers, Donatello Dunk Mids, Aqua VIIIs, and more. And amid all the recent Griffey craze, a pair of original Air Max Griffeys came along and showed the retros who ruled. But regardless of what anyone wore, every pair that touched the floor was absolute heat. Some were old, some were new; some were borrowed, some were blue. But all were great.
