The adidas ZX line serves the lifestyle/casual shoe wearer as well as any other line of shoes. Born in the 80′s, both the ZX500 and slightly younger ZX700 have maintained their trademark designs over the years, and has been the focus of a number of special projects, like the Star Wars x adidas Originals Collaboration. Here are new colourways for each model, the ZX500 in a tropical Cyan Blue and Flamingo and the ZX700 in a sleek Black and Neon Yellow. Both pairs will be available at select adidas retailers soon.

adidas ZX 500 – Cyan Blue/Flamingo
Originally designed as a high mileage training shoe, the Zx 500 released in 1984 and featured a combination of Nylon mesh with suede reinforcements, serving to minimize the weight and maximize the breathability of the shoe. The streamlined silhouette and clean lines of the ZX 500 means that it has remained a favourite amongst sneaker aficionados since it first dropped and striking makeups of the shoe still regularly appear more than 25 years after it appeared. This version is no exception and features a head turning, brilliant blue suede and Nylon mesh upper with pops of flamingo on the heel stability counter and the traditional ghilly lacing system. The colourful upper is tastefully contrasted with white and light grey on the midsole and a light grey heel tab that showcases the Trefoil while the 3-Stripes are foxed and finished with a thin flamingo piping.
