Converse Skateboarding Fall/Winter 2010 Preview

We saw a little of this from Nike SB too, but its clear that Converse Skateboarding is getting back to basics.  With their upcoming collection for Fall/Winter 2010, they have some simple two and three-coloured kicks on the way.  The black, white and red midtops pictured have the Y-shaped ankle lockdown that typifies the Weapon series, but it’s slightly different, and integrated into a traditional skate-style side panel.  There’s also a white and blue midtop that is, itself, slightly different than both.  A lowtop pair in grey, white and black is probably the cut-off version of the first model, so stick with Sneaker News and we’ll update you once they get a proper name.  via HS

Royalefam SBTG Year of the Tiger Dunk + Air Force 1

Settling this sort of thing would probably be even messier than boxing’s current picture, but we’d nominate SBTG among the heavyweights of sneaker customization.  Case in point: their Nike Air Force 1s and Dunks for Chinese New Year 2010.

Valentine’s Day, February 14th marks the new Year of the Tiger and Royalefam are marking the metal Tiger with the SBTG Premium Flying Tiger Nike Dunk Low pictured above.  They’re made to resemble fighter plane graphics made famous by the Flying Tiger ‘volunteer’ group of Americans who joined up with the Chinese Air Force in late 1941 (they were actually making about three times what they originally earned stateside, possibly the most subtly-streetsmart reference on a sneaker, ever).

Another Dunk joins the battle, this time a hightop from the new SBTG Basics line.  The lows are more detailed, so these are more affordable.  A similar design has also been applied to the AF1 Metal Tiger.  All three pairs will release on the ‘other’ V-Day, Sunday, Feb 14th.  Click the jump for more photos, plus a video from Royalefam.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium Wool Cliff Huxtable Available

If Cosbyness really is next to godliness, then these joints really might be holy grails.  Truth be told, they’re probably not limited enough to reach grail status, but the latest Nike SB Dunk High Premium is double-take stuff.  Sure, the Cooji sweater itself was retroed (after UNDRCRWN and adidas brought it back), but this Dr. Huxtable Dunk reminds you why dudes started wearing technicoloured dream-sweaters in the first place.  Only white and black leather could perfectly balance a shoe whose wool overlay is about as loud as any we’ve ever seen.  We’ve been expecting these, and the Dr. Huxtables (were) just delivered at Premium Laces.

Nike Zoom Morizaba Black Lime Blue

First depicted on the 15th issue of Australian magazine Sneaker Freaker, the Nike Zoom Morizaba is the latest release from All Conditions gear.  They’re equipped for pretty much any kind of terrain you might want to run in, with Flywire-enhanced side panels and the boulder-ready TrailFrame Suspension.  They also have that slightly outlandish ACG look with the neon blue and green hits, plus reflective 3M on the toe for your urban night excursions.  Grab them today from the UNDFTD Japan e-store.

Nike Air Force 1 GS Black Speed Yellow

There have been a number of kicks released over the last decade or so that made you think “Dang, I wish these came out in Mens sizes!”. You can add these latest Nike Air Force 1 GS to the list, and you can see that these could easily belong in Livestrong line of Nike kicks. The combination of black and speed yellow works well with the gridlike design on the tone and center panel, giving the entire shoe an almost high-tech appearance. This pair also features black laces with yellow stripes, and the classic Nike Air Force 1 shoe-lace dubrae. You can grab these from steptorun on eBay.

Air Jordan 16.5 Black Varsity Maize Red Available

The latest Air Jordan 16.5 is the colourway most likely to be nicknamed ‘Atlanta Hawks’.  Hawks players have been seen wearing a similar pair, as has Dwyane Wade, but these 16.5s have none of the telltale signs of PE status.  Instead, they favor the Hawks Sixty Plus with its yellow contrast stitching holding together a black nubuck upper.  You can find these on the the virtual shelves over at Finish Line.

Converse Chuck Taylor Cup Fall/Winter 2010

We’ve all heard the overused phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, but it certainly does not apply here. Check out the upcoming Converse Chuck Taylor Cup, which features the same upper silhouette as the legendary Converse All-Star but with a new midsole (and neat-o Chuck Taylor script on the rear end of the midsole). Subtract the rubber toeguard and contrasting white stitching of the All-Star and you get a sleek looking life-style shoe in the new Cup. Watch for lows and highs of the Converse Chuck Taylor Cup to drop later this year. via HighSnobiety.

Air Jordan II (2) Retro 25th Anniversary New Images

Now that the 25th Anniversary of Jordan Brand is officially here, get ready for a slew of Silver/White colourways of Air Jordans. The first such colourway to drop in states is the Air Jordan II (2) 25th Anniversary, slated for release next Saturday on the 30th. It features a white upper with grey 3M trim on the heel, tongue, and heeltab. The release of these Air Jordan II has been somewhat overshadowed by the highly-anticipated Air Jordan VI Varsity Red that dropped today, but that doesn’t take away from Jordan’s second signature shoe. We’ll remind you again right before the drop date, or pre-order overseas at ChapterExpress.

Nike Terminator High Lux White Snakeskin Unreleased Sample

The Nike Terminator has been a growing favorite of shoeheads and has been subject to a number of limited or TZ releases over the last year. The Nike Terminator High Lux in White and Gold released over a year ago in December of 2008; check out an unreleased sample of the Tier Zero Terminator, which seems to be the same as the released version except for a different colored swoosh. Check out the reptilian material on the toe box and ankle padding paired with the snakeskin swoosh. It’s always interesting to see unreleased samples, isn’t it? Although the auction’s dead, check out more pics from KonkreteJungle on eBay.
