Nike Sportswear 2010 Collection Preview

Here’s a look at what Nike Sportswear has in store for us in 2010. Plenty of retro runners, like the Nike Air Structure Triax ’91 and the Nike Air Max 1 and some newer models like the Nike Aina Chukka or the Nike Air Royal Mid in a Marty McFlyish colourway. We know your eyes are glued to the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared, which is seeing yet another release but will still sell out rather quickly (by now, the Infrared 90 should be in your collection anyway). Another Air Max shoe that released during the 2005 History of Air Pack is the Nike Air Max 180 Ultramarine, which re-released since ’05 as well. Stick to Sneaker News and we’ll give drop detailed pics and released dates when they come available. via Tenisufki.

Air Jordan VI (6) Black Varsity Red Release Reminder

Don’t forget to cop your pair of Black/Varsity Red 6′s.  A lot of people are still whining about the absence of Infrared, but we noticed many of those who got a first-hand glimpse of these at SneakerCon weren’t too disappointed.  There have been plenty of sources for you to cop a pair weeks in advance, but for those who like to keep it traditionally old school, legit retailers are officially selling these tomorrow.

Air Jordan VI Retro Motorsports Extensive Detail Look

You’ve got an interesting, and possibly difficult choice ahead of you: white/black or white/black.  Several Air Jordan VI Retros are dropping this year, and two of them are pretty similar, on paper.  Both the ‘Oreo’ and Jordan Motorsports AJ6s come with simple, two-colour palettes, but they actually came out pretty differently.

With the Oreos, the contrast is more stark, and they’re set for a March drop.  The above pictured Motorsports VIs are releasing in February, and in these new photos, you can appreciate the subtleties of its design.  Like how the peforations and varying tumbled-nesses of leather adds some depth, or how the smokey translucent outsole sections give the icey look with minimal chance of yellowing.  Enjoy the photos for now, and we’ll let you know when the exact release date is announced.  via Kenlu

Air Jordan Ol School III Dwyane Wade FLASH3 PE

One of the bigger news stories Sneaker News covered last year was Dwyane Wade’s addition to the Team Jordan roster. Not only does it fortify the Jordan Brand roster of NBA players, it gives sneakerheads something else to be excited about: Player Exclusives. Here’s a look at a Air Jordan Ol’School III (3) Dwyane Wade PE, complete with Miami Heat colourway integration and a great FLASH3 stitched logo on the heel. These are just a production sample so there’s no word of its release, but we might see his Jordan logo on future Dwyane Wade signature shoes. via Shoesholic.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 1/16 1/22

Welcome to our new Weekly Rewind segment, offering a chance to look back at some of the biggest stories of the past week. This week was packed with great content mostly coming from the basketball end of the spectrum. The biggest splash was made by the recent K-Pals exhibit, which offered us a seemingly never-ending supply of looks at one of the most jaw-dropping collections of basketball kicks ever seen. With All-Star Weekend right around the corner, the NBA has been heating up with some eye-catching new kicks on the feet of some of the game’s biggest stars. Also on the basketball front, we learned of the return of the Eggplant Foamposite, as well as a luxurious new croc-skinned Air Jordan II colorway. Nike SB also made some noise with the out-of-nowhere QS drop of two LOST-inspired models and a look forward at some upcoming products from their Winter 2010 collection. Keep reading for a look back at all these stories and more as Sneaker News gets you all caught up on the latest happenings in the world of kicks.

Nike Harajuku Spring 2010 Running Releases

We already know that updated classics like the Nike Air Classic BW Gen II are ready for serious running.  What about their answer teo the BW from 20 years ago?  Nike Running has quite the spread for you this spring, including some new models and dope colourways.

Clockwise, from the top right is the Nike LunarSwift+, the latest LunarLite soled featherweight runner.  Both pairs are white, with the mens adding green and blue hits, while the ladies’ opts for pink, yellow and orange.  Next up, the brand new Zoom Structure Triax+ 13 AP.

They keep the same basic white/gender-based-accent-colour scheme, which is then sorta combined into the new Zoom Speed Cage+ 2 AP.  Last but not least are the two black pairs of Zoom Structure Triax+ 12s.  They might be the prequel to the latest edition, but number 12 never hit stateside, so these are all new to us, and they’re all available at Nike Sportswear Harajuku.

Nike Valentines Day GS Pack Dunk High + Air Max 90 Available

Valentine’s Day isn’t a holiday reserved for adults only. We all remember exchanging Valentine’s Day notecards and Hershey Kisses during school, or that hilarious, LOL-inducing Simpsons episode when Lisa made the mistake by choo-choo-choosing to give Ralph Wiggum a card out of pity (his cat’s name is Mittens, by the way). Check out these new kids sizes of the Nike Valentine’s Day GS Pack which includes a Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Dunk High, both using shades of red and pink and featuring a graphic similar to that of a girl’s notebook scribbling. Look for these to drop at select Nike retailers, or grab yours from Premium Laces.

Nike SB in Scotland Video

The other day, Nike SB Spain embarked on an excursion to the Middle East and skated around with the locals of Qatar in the Nike SB Video Documentary. In this newest video, Nike SB got its Euro-Trip on and landed in Scotland, skateboard on feet, video camera on hand. Watch the amateur video as Team Nike shreds the curbs, rails, as well as a local skatepark during their momentous visit. via NSB/mpora.

NBA Feet: LeBron James vs. Kobe Bryant Part 2

Every basketball fan and his momma wants to see one thing; LeBron vs. Kobe in the NBA Finals. It’s been a long while since the NBA saw a Magic vs. Bird scenario on the game’s biggest stage – largely due to more team-oriented gameplay – but for LeBron James and Kobe Bryant to not face off against each other in the Finals would be an utter travesty to the game of basketball.

So why all the clamor about a regular season game in January, or the hoopla about the Christmas Day Kobe vs. LeBron? When the season ends, with both the Lakers and Cavs finishing among the elite in their respective conferences, the MVP voting will boil down to these two games. It’s no question that both Kobe and LeBron will get their stats, but with the Cavs sweeping the season series again Lakers, the MVP advantage goes to Mr. James. But all that really matters in the end is the championship ring; it’s LeBron’s to win and Kobe’s to lose. Check out these images of Kobe and his Inline Kobe V facing off against LeBron and his CavFanatic LeBron VII because after the All-Star game, we might not see this match-up of heavyweight proportions until next season. via Yahoo Sports.
