After yesterday’s revelation of the All-Star Air Max LeBron VII, we knew a Kobe colourway was coming up. Here’s a first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe V All-star edition. This colourway is predominantly red, in opposition of the East’s seemingly turquoise blue, as seen yesterday in LeBron’s All-stars. It features the same woodgrain detailing and brown personalized All-star patch stitched on the insole; you can see “The Black Mamba” and “Three x MVP” printed on it. If you look carefully, you can see a silhouette of a star embedded into the woodgrain on the outer toeguard. These are set for a February 12th release at Foot Locker and the House of Hoops, just two days before the NBA All-Star game. Don’t get these mixed up with the other White/Red Kobe V that’s releasing soon. via FLUL.

What happens when you reverse the Nike Air Max 95‘s signature grey-dient? We’ve seen that reversed look before, and if you add some metallic snakeskin, you get these. The latest Ninety-Fives are a simple white/grey/black affair, but they’re anything but plain, thanks to two metallic snakeskin tiers. Now, the ridged side panels already give some visual depth, but with the snakeskin print, these are downright eye-catching. Grab a pair of these Euro-exclusives from Sweden’s Shelta.

When yours truly rolled into the first day of seventh grade rocking the Nike Air Much Uptempos and literally half of my male classmates rocked the white/navy More Uptempo takedown model, a sneakerhead was born. It sure looks like my Muches, but this latest hybrid design from Nike Sportswear might not garner the same adulation from your peers.
Will they realize that the Nike Air Max A Lot is a mashup of two Scottie Pippen sneakers, or just think that this colourway looks like a shoe with a slot machine theme? This rastafied ‘retro’ combines the ‘AIR’ sidepanels from the aforementioned side panels with the Air Pippen II‘s swooping midsole. We’re expecting several colourways of these, so stick with Sneaker News for updates. via FC.T

This shoe was one of the first we saw from Nike SB’s spring ‘ten collection, but they were just labeled as a Premium until now. On the eve of their release, word leaked that the Nike SB Dunk High Premium ‘Boom’ is a Quickstrike, designed in collaboration with pro skater and artist Matt French. Probably the first SB to feature all three primary colours of pigment, plus black and white, the unmistakable comic book look is available now from select Nike SB retailers including the Paul Rodriguez-run Primitive.

LeBron James’ latest All Star Game shoes feature the Eastern Conference’s signature blue, but we’ve never seen one quite like this. First of all, the shade of blue on these Nike Air Max LeBron VIIs is so blindingly bright that you couldn’t miss them if you tried. Throw in the insane reflective 3M wood grain texture on the mudguard and this is Red Maestro-level stuff here. Not only can you see some really crisp photos after the jump, but Marquee Sole already has a limited size run!

Hiroshi Fujiwara has a thing for the Nike Zoom Tennis Classic. It’s probably something about the TC’s smooth classic styling; they’re subtly branded, so adding a fragment design logo is easy. And it looks dope, in gold, below the metallic gold heel tab on this latest pair. Previously reported as an Asian exclusive, this Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Tennis Classic HF in white and gold is dropping at select NSW retailers next Tuesday, January 19th. What were you doing on the twenty-third of December of last year? Did you happen to be at a Foot Locker during the Air Jordan XI Space Jam Release? Sneaker News deemed the Air Jordan XI Space Jam as the grandstanding shoe of our Top 30 Sneakers of 2009, and the upcoming Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary is already in the running for a spot on this year’s list.
The Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary resembles the original Columbia XI colourway, but it isn’t an exact replica. First and foremost, the 25th Anniversary Jordan XI lacks a Jumpman logo on the usual heel, which is an aberration from the Air Jordan line as a whole. It also lacks Columbia Blue colorblocking that would even qualify it to be called a Air Jordan XI Columbia Retro. So which Air Jordan XI of ’09 and ’10 will be your favorite? Check out the large collection of side-by-side comparison shots after the jump and chime in with your two cents. Air Jordan XI lovers do not want to miss this. via Kenlu.

Warning: Nike Zoom Kobe Vs will burn your house down. Now, we don’t expect Nike to issue any recall notices for this figure of speech, but the ZK5 is fiyah, as demonstrated in the latest MVPuppets commercial. Kobe and LeBron come home to find Lil Dez in a panic. The house has burned down, and LeBron wants to know what happened. Long story short, the ZK5 is the lightest and lowest basketball shoe ever. Click the jump below to see how the video of how Kobe’s latest shoe nearly caused a felt inferno.

This past December, Amsterdam-based sneaker shop Patta teamed up with Nike to produce four great colourways of the Nike Air Max 1. Each colourway utilized a different colored denim on the outsole and a miniature swoosh on the outer toe, similar to the popular Safari and Viotech Air Max 1. Of the four colourways, the purple denim and black denim Quickstrike colourways never reached a stateside release, and our knuckles have been left cramped and sore from crossing our fingers. For now, a US release seems bleak, but Sneaker News fell upon a size 8 of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Purple. You can grab yours from kevs020 on eBay, but prepare to pay a hefty price.

Hip-hop has so thoroughly permeated modern culture that it’s probably one of the best ways to relate to kids these days. Case in point: the Nike MVPuppets campaign. Occasionally hilarious, the felt version of Kobe Bryant picks up where Santa-KRS left off, rapping about the shoe. It starts off sounding like a Spartan Spirit skit, but ends with an unmistakably MVPuppets twist as Lil Dez steps in to save Foot Locker from a Zoom Kobe V-induced blaze. Click the jump below to see for yourself.

The Hyperize is dominating the NBA like its predecessor, so what does Nike have in store for the Hyperdunk family for next year? Peep the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, a sneaker whose sole is so distinctly ‘Zoom Kobe V’ and whose upper is so obvously ‘Hyper’, that some speculated it was a hybrid, like the ones Kobe had of his previous sig’s sole and the Hyperdunk upper. They have the crackly reptile-looking finished that was pioneered on the ZK5 with a China/Houston Rockets colourway. Stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike Basketball releases. via FLUL

Another one of adidas’s overlooked basketball models is back and looking good in a classic colorway. A few weeks back, we showed you the return of the adidas Phantom II in an eye-catching tonal orange Knicks colorway, and now it’s the Artillery Mid making a comeback in a very NYC color scheme, using a White leather upper with splashes of royal blue, orange and black to give the shoe an alternate New York Knickerbocker look. The Artillery Mid offers a retro design with a can’t miss color palette for New York-centric sneakerheads or fans of the good old days of adidas Basketball. Keep reading for a look at more pics, and if you like what you see, you can pick up a pair now from Packer Shoes.
