The 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend has officially kicked off. The Celebrity All-Star Game and Rookie Challenge were played on Friday night at NBA Jam Session and American Airlines Center respectively. Besides all of the different shoes that the Rookies and Sophomores wore, the teams also went back to wearing their respective team’s NBA jersey’s unlike last year’s horrid excuse for a jersey. For the first time in eight years the Rookies came out on top and were led by Sacramento Kings’ Guard, Tyreke Evans, who like most of the other Nike sponsored players wore the new Nike Air Max Rise in their teams colors. Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks had a respectable 22 points and 8 assists in his Under Armour Protege’s; he also might’ve taken some notes from Lebron James by wearing a different colored shoe on each foot. Toronto Raptors’ Rookie, Demar Derozan, won himself a trip to the 2010 NBA Slam Dunk Contest by beating Los Angeles Clippers’ Sophomore, Eric Gordon, in the first ever Slam Dunk-In, the two players wore the Nike Zoom Kobe V and adidas Supernatural Creator respectively. Check out what the rest of the Rookies and Sophomores wore after the jump and let us know who you think had the best kicks.
