One company dares to enter the realm of basketball kicks to go up against the likes of Nike and adidas. That company? Li-Ning. No, it’s not an upstart company; Li-Ning has been one of the biggest athletic outfitters of China for quite some time. Li-Ning officially launched their first retail space in the states in Portland, Oregon, which is also home to a big-name sports apparel conglomerate (um, Nike?). As they say, “keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer”. Li-Ning definitely has Nike Basketball in its sights, and setting up shop in their backyard is a sure-fire way to grab the attention of the competition.
At the launch event was the main Li-Ning endorsee Baron Davis, who also goes by the name ‘Beardman’. His first signature shoe with Li-Ning called the BD Doom was sold at $100 a pair, with a Beardman toy figurine available at a discounted price. In addition to the kicks and toy was a nice selection of Li-Ning Basketball apparel. If you liked our NBA Feet: Under The Radar Edition, then read on to check out Li-Ning’s new retail space and merchandise. via FRESHNESS.

IMO, the shirt that has BD dunking over kirilenko has a subliminal message to nike, Li-ning will own them and shut the down the competition, LOL!

Top corp’s need competition to push them and I think Li Ning will do that. This is not the only product or sport they deal in. The comments here are good and diverse but the language leaves a lot to be desired. If you don’t like it you don’t have to be vulgar about it.
