The sudden craze around the Nike Griffey line is quite puzzling; then again, many of today’s Jordan collectors have never seen the man play in his prime. “The Kid” may have the sweetest swing in the history of baseball, transforming finesse into unrivaled power in the form of 630 steroid-free home-runs. The Nike Air Max Griffey stole the show in 2009 and first peek at the Marina Blue colourway had Griffey fans going ga-ga. Well, the wait is over, as the Nike Air Max Griffey Marina Blue will officially release tomorrow. Unfortunately, these are indeed a Quickstrike release, but there are still some pairs available for sale on eBay.

i won’t be wearing mine laced up as tight as they are in those pics. sheesh! anyways, copped off eastbay for $140. one of the nicest kicks to drop this year imo amongst a lot of others of course.

@ Darrell – a quick strike release is supposed to mean that these were released at a limited amount of nike retails who have a specific type of relationship/account with nike distributes. which usually results in a limited amount amount of sneakers because they are only at a limited amount/type of stores.
so its basically another way for nike to lead us to believe these are “limited edition” something to help build the hype so we buy as soon as possible.
as far these cool grays go, they nice, but imma OG head i only love the sneakers that the players actually wore and accomplished things in, i got the freshwaters, imma hold out till the emeralds come out..

I thought the Swoosh and the “24″ was grey, turns out it’s silver and they look better in person. I am getting mines on Monday!

i got these in a size 11 1/2 i tried on my freshwater in a 11 1/2 and they fit to small so now im trying to trade the grey ones for a size 12 if anyones got it ….THanks
