Here’s the latest sneaker simulacrae from the boys over on Rivington St. The ALIFE Public Naval is somewhere in between the Vans Era and Slip-On models, going with the familiar pimsoll upper, but using faux eyelets and a elasticized tongue. They look particularly nice with leather uppers, atop a white sole that has red caps on the heels, and should feel great thanks to cork insoles. You can get either a black or white pair from ALIFE retailers soon; they just hit Japan’s Flauge.

Very nice. Good quality all around. Cork insole is crazy. Lol.

OOOOO white ones are hot. Red touch on the heel makes it. fully wrapped toebox+mudguard is so clean.

I just got these shoes and they’re a joke. They look great and are made from quality materials BUT THEY DON’T STAY ON YOUR FEET. The tongue isn’t attached so you can literally walk out of these shoes. It’s absurd and I’m very annoyed.

eric, i had the same problem. i ordered a size 13 and i was just walking out of them. i ended up trying an 11 and those fit perfectly, though i plan to wear them with no socks. i guess alife doesnt know correct shoe sizes, lol.
