The dunks during the 2010 NBA Dunk Contest were easily outshined by the sneakers worn by the contestants, particularly that of Lakers high-flyer Shannon Brown. He wore a sick pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe V iD with a colourway voted in by fans, but had the online voting not occurred, Brown was set to wear the above pictured colourway of the Kobe V PE. At this point, there seems to be no story behind the choice of colors; the turquoise sole, blue midsole, silver/black upper, and red lining have no connection with his Michigan State alma mater, nor do they pay homage to his Lakers team. Actually, it’s a yellow trim short of being an Olympic colourway. On the insole is a message delivered Bill Walton style: “Throw it down, Shannon Brown.” Check out the images after the jump and let us know if you prefer this color over the red/gold Kobe V iD he wore that night. via thegrandioseco.
