Nike Air 180 White Orange Blue Spring / Summer 2010

Our Nike Sportswear 2010 Preview gave us a quick peek into some great upcoming colourways of our favorite Air Max models like the Air Max 1 and Air 180. The Nike Air 180 has a long-standing history of being overlooked by other models but the simple, flat-footed design with uniquely visible air-unit make the Nike Air 180 more of a cult fave rather than a universally beloved pair. Check out this new colourway of the Nike Air 180 in a light-blue and orange colourway – perhaps a combination of the Nike Air Max 1 Holland Football Pack that already released in Europe. Simple color-blocking on a white upper base is king. Stick with Sneaker News for a release alert. via wearehq.

adidas Skateboarding Busenitz

The adidas Samba is one of the most recognizable indoor soccer shoes ever.  It has such great crossover appeal that Dennis Busenitz reappropriated the long-tongued design for his adidas Skateboarding signature sneaker.  There’s one little twist on this black and white pair of Busenitzes that you’ll read on the inside of that iconic tongue: “Not feeling the long tongue?  Cut along the dotted line for a pair of Busenitz Lights.”  So, it’s two shoes in one, and they’re (both) available at Caliroots.

Air Jordan Icons Detailed Look + Video
The intricate stitching on the upper of the Air Jordan Icons may steer you towards believing it was meant for aesthetics, but the JB team had optimum performance in mind when designing the Icons. It features a full-length sculpted Phylon midsole (also on the Air Jordan Alpha 1) and the revolutionary Air Jordan XX sole for support and traction. Reinforcing the more sensitive areas like the ankle is the supportive collar system, molded sockliner, and seamless tongue-to-forefoot construction. Lucky for us, the Air Jordan Icons is both technically up-to-par and pleasing to the eye; in addition to the royal stitching and Air Jordan XX silhouette, the midsole features hidden messages for us to decipher, while the symbols on the outsole represent 20 memorable moments in Jordan’s career. Read on for an official Jordan Brand video and extra images. via Jumpman23.

Nike Woman Video by Edouard Salier

If you know the name Edouard Sailer, it’s very likely you’re a big Massive Attack fan.  The trip-hop cornerstones just released a new video for ‘Splitting the Atom’ directed by Sailer, and that type of cool presentation is right up Nike’s alley.  In their latest commercial spot entited ‘Nike Woman’, the Swoosh translates into ‘physical’ form all of the mental challenges an Ironwoman triathlete encounters in the toughest test of human endurance.  Superb CGI here, so be sure to watch the video after the jump.

adidas Originals Street Pack Spring/Summer 10

The term ‘pack’ usually refers to a few sneakers that share a similar theme and/or designer.  They’re sometimes larger for special occasions (think Pump20), but the new Street Pack from adidas Originals is bigger than some brands’ entire spring/summer 2010!  The Street Pack also includes alot of tees and hoodies, but we’re focusing on the Sambas, Stan Smiths, Superstars and all the rest of these classic Three Stripes designs.  Most of them are done in simple two and three-toned colourups, with a few standing out from the pack.  Quite a lot to see here, so be sure to check out more photos after the jump.  via FNG

Air Jordan XVII (17) Low Michael Jordan Game Worn PE

Michael Jordan’s return to the game of basketball in 2001 caused shockwaves across the globe. The entire NBA scene was rattled when Jordan stepped down as President of Basketball Operations and signed on as starting Shooting Guard for the Washington Wizards. This is why the Air Jordan XVII has a special place in many Jordan-fans hearts; it was the first signature Air Jordan shoe that released when Michael Jordan returned to the game (for the second time).
Now here’s a piece of history for you Jordan fans to admire; a GAME WORN pair of the Air Jordan XVII Low in an unreleased Washington Wizards colourway (we got a similar White/Univ Blue colourway). The heel shows the Jumpman logo with MJ’s 23 stitched on in a light bronze and y1ou’ll also notice a few scuffs and creasing for when Jordan schooled young’ns with his fadeaway jumper (or when he ended Ron Mercer’s career by blocking that shot off the backboard). This is truly a treat for the ages; check out the detailed pics and let us know what you think. via Kenlu.

Bo Knows the Nike Trainer SC 2010 Launch

Bo Jackson and Scoop Jackson (no relation) represent three of America’s most popular sports (four, if you count the hockey commercial).  Along with Chicago Bears defensive end Alex Brown, they were on hand at the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Center to show off the new Nike Trainer SC 2010, and give the hundreds of local high school athletes some tips and drills, because, well, Bo Knows.

You can see that although the Flywire-equipped update has a Free sole and a wrapraround Air cushion, the 2010 is very similar to the OG SC, especially when you’re comparing Auburn colourups.  Check out a bunch more photos from the event and of the new Trainer SC 2010, all after the jump, plus a video interview of Bo, but you’ll have to do your best to hear him amidst the ping of aluminum bats.  via SoleCollector

NBA Feet: Mike Bibby Air Jordan XIII Black Varsity Red

Mike Bibby is clearly a fan of both the Air Jordan XIII and lowcut basketball shoes.  In fact, it’s not uncommon to see him in an AJXIII Low, like the white and true red 2005 retro-like PEs he rocked a little while back.  So, seeing the black and red joints during the Atlanta Hawks’ road game in Phoenix wasn’t a surprise as much as the ‘regular’ midtop cut.  A shoe that would have been ‘The Last Shots’ if it weren’t for, you know, the real Last Shots.  The black and red Air Jordan XIII has been rumored for a 2010 retro release, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via Yahoo!

Every successful signature line of basketball kicks seems to be accompanied by matching apparel. Do the kicks and the apparel go hand-in-hand, or is the success mutually exclusive? In regards to Li-Ning, that remains to be seen, but take a look at Li-Ning’s line-up of apparel and you might guess that Li-Ning is here to stay.
If you saw our Li-Ning Launch Event Recap last week, you might’ve seen Baron Davis aka Beardman wear a pretty dope varsity jacket with his BD and Beardman logos adorning the front chest. Some cool t-shirts, one with Davis posterizing, or “bearding” what looks to be a helpless, clean-shaven Andrei Kirilenko were also displayed. All the aforementioned gear – two colors of the jacket and six different tees – are no available for purchase. With kicks and matching gear as part of his arsenal, Beardman and his future as an endorsee looks pretty bright (just don’t expect a call from Gilette). Read on to check out the Li-Ning Baron Davis apparel collection, and if you see what you like, visit Li-Ning.
