Hufnagel (or HUF, for short) has been one of the more notable names of the sneaker and skater sub-culture of the past decade. In addition to the memorable collaborations with Nike sneakers, Huf also produces a successful line of apparel and footwear, all designed in-house. Check out the upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 Collection of Huf footwear, featuring a nice assortment of lows and highs in a wide variety of colors. The insoles shoe the trademark HUF logo, while some pairs feature a HUF tag and a big ‘H’ on the shoe itself. Another nice touch is the dotted line encircling the upper midsole. While HUF may be a micro-brand compared to the big names of urban footwear, this upcoming collection of kicks speaks loud volumes; don’t forget to check out the pics. via HS.

Clearly, nothing Edison Chen does stays private. It seems with the new super collab on the KZKLOT capsule for adidas Originals’ O by O Collection was inspired by some of his dreams. “I always wanted breathable shoes for the hot days of Hong Kong or nowadays LA,” is how EDC explains the adidas Originals kzkLOT Superstar ’80s ‘Breathe’. These black Shelltoes have a mesh upper that permits pretty much any warm conditions, plus a German-striped pull tab that has us searching around to solve Chen’s challenge: “now can anyone tell me where [he] got the inspiration from these ones?”

Over a month has passed since the devastating earthquake the shook the small island of Haiti and captivated the entire world. Many countries were quick to lend hands, but in dire situations like these, emotional support is also welcome. Nike Basketball took a trip to Forest Park Elementary School in Southern Florida, a school with a 60% Haitian population, to create a piece of artwork meant sent a message of hope, love and empathy to the Haitian people. The tag line reads ‘Kinbe Pa Lage’, which translates to ‘Hold on tight, don’t let go’. The artwork was placed on a Nike Basketball t-shirt, and was placed for sale at $25 a piece at Nike retailers, with all proceeds going to Mercy Corps and Architecture for Humanity, two of Nike’s partners in the Haitian Relief Effort. You can now do your part by purchasing a t-shirt from Nike Basketball.

How do you take a shoe designed for the surf set and make it into something rugged for the remaining winter months? In the case of these new Vans Vault Sierra 106 LXes, the perfect answer is adding metal eyelet hooks and corded laces, a la hiking boots. These aren’t the first hiking-inspired sneakers, or even the first Sierra 106 LXes we’ve seen this season, but three supremely clean canvas lowtops riding all-white vulc soles call out to the grownup aesthetic sense in all of us. Check for these at your local Vans Vault retailers in early March. via HB

A few years ago, a brand called Gourmet made some noise for their line of shoes that were obvious knock-offs of popular Jordan Brand models. The public opinion of Gourmet’s line of footwear was definitely split down the middle. After a short hiatus, Gourmet returned with a new line of footwear. In this video brought to us by Hanon and A Number Of Names, you can learn who, what, why, and how the Gourmet brand came into existence. The footwear label has some recent and upcoming collaborations with well known companies both worldwide and in the urban fashion circle, like the Pepsi x Gourmet UNO Collaboration and an upcoming Gourmet Quattro B x Undefeated. Check the video after the jump to learn more about the brand and its plans for the future.

If you’re a fan of Supra Societys and have been following our preview of the Supra TK Society Spring 2010 Collection, you’ll be happy to know that two new colourways for 2010 are now available. The first is a TUF Blue Crackle that features a distressed upper, similar to that of dried clay, and a lime-green midsole. The second pair features burgundy patent leather and suede uppers, going for the sleeker, night-time look. Both pairs are available now at Supra retailers worldwide, or you can grab these now from factory413.

Twenty-five years and hundreds of colourways after its debut, we’ve never seen an Air Jordan 1 Retro High quite like this one. Right off the top, this Future Sole Friends and Family only colourway is familiar, but this isn’t the aggressive black and red (and white) we’ve come to expect. Instead, ‘bred’ is broken up into accent hits, letting the two-toned white upper grab most of your attention. Shouldn’t be too hard, given the 3M reflective overlay. Take a look at more photos after the jump, since you have pretty much zero chance of ever wearing your own pair. via HB // CT

We’ve given a preview at Alife’s collection for the new year, but what we see already hitting retail is literally nothing of what was originally shown. Here we see a various assortment of four models- the Everybody Mid and High, Shell Toe and Kennedy High. Giving the consumers freedom of choice, each model comes in several color blocks, designs and materials. Satisfying a widespread of style demographics, this is all great segway for the Fall and Winter stuff we also have already previewed. Already available at Mita Sneakers, we expect for all of these selections to be in US retailers soon, if not already.

Ever seen a laser-etching machine at work? If you’re anything like me, the closest answer you could honestly reply is a router from middle school shop class. While you were busy carving your mom’s name into a block of wood, there were some special festivities at the Jordan Brand 23/25 Experience during the 2010 NBA All Star Weekend in Dallas. A select few got the chance to bring their own wares to the ‘Elephant printer’, and wouldn’t you know, one of them happened to be the polarizing ‘Peephole’ Air Jordan 2010. It’s interesting to see how they had to cover the plastic sections in aluminum foil to increase reception to prevent them from melting. 15 minutes later, and you’ve got some AJ2010s unlike any we’ll see at retail. NikeTalk member T21D reports dudes were adding the iconic pattern onto iPhones, laptops, other Nikes, you name it. Watch the whole process start to finish after the jump.

Mardi Gras this year pretty much started late two Sundays ago when the Saints triumphed in Super Bowl XLIV. Much more than just a ring, their victory over the Colts was a mirror of the entire Gulf Coast region; a testiment that the human spirit, indeed, cannot be squelched. So they continue party on Bourbon Street, and these kicks are the visual equivalent of drunken revelry.
New Orleans Hornets All-Star point guard Chris Paul would typically be fined for wearing something as ostentatious as the above pictured Air Jordan CP3.III Mardi Gras PEs. For the holiday today, Chris gets a chance to rock his latest Jordan Brand signature in rich tumbled leather: either purple or emerald green. Will he pull an MJ and rock one fresh pair a half? Stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Chris Paul Jordans.

Writing for Sneaker News for about a year and a half has given me some amazing insights into the shoe game. Even with all those hours I can barely fathom the extent to which Jesse Leyva‘s thoughts are consumed with sneakers. And it’s clear that Nike Sportswear’s Footwear Design Director knows the game, as you will find an eclectic mix in Jesse’s Top 50 Sneakers List for Complex.com. You get no-brainers like the Air Jordan IV, right up against some of the craziest designs you’ve ever seen. Possibly the most ‘complete’ of all these guest spot lists, you can see a preview after the jump and head over to Complex for the complete list.
