We’ve given a preview at Alife’s collection for the new year, but what we see already hitting retail is literally nothing of what was originally shown. Here we see a various assortment of four models- the Everybody Mid and High, Shell Toe and Kennedy High. Giving the consumers freedom of choice, each model comes in several color blocks, designs and materials. Satisfying a widespread of style demographics, this is all great segway for the Fall and Winter stuff we also have already previewed. Already available at Mita Sneakers, we expect for all of these selections to be in US retailers soon, if not already.

Ever seen a laser-etching machine at work? If you’re anything like me, the closest answer you could honestly reply is a router from middle school shop class. While you were busy carving your mom’s name into a block of wood, there were some special festivities at the Jordan Brand 23/25 Experience during the 2010 NBA All Star Weekend in Dallas. A select few got the chance to bring their own wares to the ‘Elephant printer’, and wouldn’t you know, one of them happened to be the polarizing ‘Peephole’ Air Jordan 2010. It’s interesting to see how they had to cover the plastic sections in aluminum foil to increase reception to prevent them from melting. 15 minutes later, and you’ve got some AJ2010s unlike any we’ll see at retail. NikeTalk member T21D reports dudes were adding the iconic pattern onto iPhones, laptops, other Nikes, you name it. Watch the whole process start to finish after the jump.

Mardi Gras this year pretty much started late two Sundays ago when the Saints triumphed in Super Bowl XLIV. Much more than just a ring, their victory over the Colts was a mirror of the entire Gulf Coast region; a testiment that the human spirit, indeed, cannot be squelched. So they continue party on Bourbon Street, and these kicks are the visual equivalent of drunken revelry.
New Orleans Hornets All-Star point guard Chris Paul would typically be fined for wearing something as ostentatious as the above pictured Air Jordan CP3.III Mardi Gras PEs. For the holiday today, Chris gets a chance to rock his latest Jordan Brand signature in rich tumbled leather: either purple or emerald green. Will he pull an MJ and rock one fresh pair a half? Stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Chris Paul Jordans.

Writing for Sneaker News for about a year and a half has given me some amazing insights into the shoe game. Even with all those hours I can barely fathom the extent to which Jesse Leyva‘s thoughts are consumed with sneakers. And it’s clear that Nike Sportswear’s Footwear Design Director knows the game, as you will find an eclectic mix in Jesse’s Top 50 Sneakers List for Complex.com. You get no-brainers like the Air Jordan IV, right up against some of the craziest designs you’ve ever seen. Possibly the most ‘complete’ of all these guest spot lists, you can see a preview after the jump and head over to Complex for the complete list.

LA is most definitely a Lakers town; Donald Sterling seems hellbent on not spending enough to change that, even with the massive 2010 summer right around the corner. In fact, you could argue that the Clippers aren’t even #2 in the City of Angels. That spot might go to the University of Southern California Trojans. While their athletic program very well might be on the decline, you can’t say that about their shoe game. This Nike Zoom Kobe V is an Eddie Cruz dream come true, and in these new photos you get a sense for just how pearlescent the snakeskin overlay really is. A crimson, maize and white shoe that somehow contains every colour in the rainbow, you’ll see more photos of the USC ZK5 after the jump. via Kenlu

Another day, another pair of Lakers-looking kicks. Actually, it’s more like three today, but we won’t complain about one of the hottest Nike Hyperdunk 2010s to be spotted on film. Had his signature series not risen like the phoenix that is Kobe Bryant’s post-Eagle career, these would have been a perfect road look to compliment the Lake Show unis. As it stands, we’ll probably see guys like Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom in them at some point. With this year’s Hyperize, it’ll probably be next season before these show up on NBA courts, but who knows; you should stick with Sneaker News for updates. via Vsneaker

When one thinks of the French going into battle, one might not expect much. But when it comes to football, France is not to be overlooked; They defeated the talented Brazil team in 1998 to capture the World Cup, led by French hero Zinedine Zidane, and went to the final in 2006, when Zidane caused some head-banging noise in a different way. Regardless of what transpired, France is again one of the teams in the mix for the World Cup Trophy this year. Rounding out the Nike Sportswear Six Collection is France, with a bundle of gear inspired by the French blue-white-red kit and designed by So Me, a renowned illustrator and art director. The mascot is taken after the mustached, beret-wearing stereotypical Frenchmen, while the the rest of the apparel takes after the French national flag. The Nike Sportswear Six Collection is set for a Spring/Summer 2010 Release, so stick to Sneaker News for updates.

Why is ‘bred’ one of the default colourways that you’ll eventually see on every moderately successful sneaker design? Simple: cos MJ woulda won 8 titles IN A ROW wearing Chicago colours, had he not experimented with the Birmingham Barons. That’s how the world is built for winners, we want to keep improving ourselves and our fellow man.
Maybe that’s also why we’re seeing so many Lakers-coloured kicks, like this new Nike Dunk High Supreme. It’s the highest ‘level’ aside from Tier Zero status, only fitting for a team that won four of the last ten Larry O’Brien Trophies. That means fine craftsmanship, nearly indestructible nylon on the upper, and a gum sole with durable stars. Picture yourself in La-La Land, and cop a pair of these from shaolin8 on eBay.

The Netherlands football club is the favorite to come out on top in their Group E preliminary round, and is projected to be a contender for the World Cup. Such a daunting team is worthy of recognition, as Nike included the Netherlands in their Nike Sportswear Six Collection. Included in the Collection is some sweet kicks inspired by the new colourway of the Netherlands kit; check out the newly released and technically advanced Nike Air BW Gen II in the Netherlands orange. The rest of the gear was designed by graffiti artist and rabid football-fan Delta, using geometrics as his inspiration. Check out the collection of kicks and gear, which includes the Nike Dunk High AC, Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka, and other classic Nike apparel.
