The adidas Top Ten was originally created in 1979 for the ten best players in the NBA, but today, the Top Ten itself should belong on a list of best classic high-tops of the last century. Over the last couple of months, we’ve seen some nice colourways and special editions of the Top Ten, like the Luke Skywalker adidas Top Ten and the Top Ten NBA Edition. Here’s a new pair that doesn’t need a unique name to turn heads; embossed grey ostrich leather, black/red three stripes, and shiny aluminum ankle padding adds a contemporary touch to this timeless pair of classic kicks. Grab yours now from TGWO.

The Nike Air Max 90 Current Moire is the latest creation to come out Nike’s underground Air Max lab. It features a design cues from three major Nike Sportswear designs – the Nike Air Max 90, Nike Free, and Nike Air Moire. It’s a clear example of a sum being better than its parts, and this frankenstein of a running shoe truly possesses a holistic identity despite its hybrid roots. Could this be a sign of more Nike hybrids to come? We should hope so. The Nike Air Max 90 Current Moire in the black/electric green/blue colourway is now available at Schuh-You.

The other day we showed you a sick pair of the Nike WMNS Dunk High in a purple-gradient colourway. This newly discovered pair follows the same template, using a black-blue-green-yellow gradient with a grey base that should remind you of snorkeling in a tropical coral reef. Of course, this Dunk High comes fashioned with a Zoom Air insole, as noted by the tongue tag. Perhaps this gradient upper is part of a special Pack of the Nike Dunk High, so similar colourways may be on the way. via TGWO.

I’m sure tons of guys out there are doing their last-minute Valentine’s Day shopping. Here’s some advice; that box of Whitman’s Sampler from CVS ain’t gonna cut it. Check out this girl’s Nike Blazer GS that slipped in right on time, although they won’t arrive in time if you order it. It features a black patent leather upper with a pink patent swoosh, with hearts and “love” printed on the heel. All of the aforementioned features are brought together nicely by the trademark white vulcanized sole. Grab these from Japanese e-tailer ichiba.

The burning question come the 2010 NBA off-season will be: “Where will LeBron James end up?”. One possibility would be King James running the majestic courts of Madison Square Garden; the Knicks front office unloaded a mass amount of contracts and LeBron James’ favorite MLB team just happens to be the Yankees. But this is all just speculation, which is exactly why the Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low I Love NY was deemed a FAKE sample by Nike because apparently, this shoe ruffled the feathers of Clevelandites. Well, turns out the sample is legit, and now additional detailed images have surfaced.
The Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low features a small air unit with no flywire, but these aren’t the design cues that have us raising our eyebrows. The LBJ23 logo has been replaced by a question mark, which further suggests that LeBron James’ hometown ties to Ohio might not have much weight. Read on to see some great detailed shots and chime in by letting us know where you think LeBron James will end up this October. via NikeLeBron.

Gerald Wallace is flyin’ high these days; he earned his first spot on an NBA All-Star team, and he’s the primary figure at the center of the Charlotte Bobcats’ surprising season. Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan has been equipping his team with Jordan Brand gear, and Gerald Wallace was fortunate enough to receive a great pair of Player Exclusives for his NBA Dunk Contest appearance. Check out this Bobcats colourway of the Air Jordan Icons; the deep blue patent upper with Wallace’s GW3 logo on the heel complete the All-Star look. Unfortunately, the Alabama alumni did not come out on top, but his career is definitely flying higher than his dunks. via Jumpman23.

In addition to the 2010 NBA All-Star Saturday Night events, the two All-Star Teams also took to the practice court on Saturday. Between catching up with each other about how the first half of the season has gone the 2010 NBA All-Stars also took some half court shots and entertained the media. For us at Sneaker News we were more concerned with what was on their feet, for the most part the East and West All-Star representatives gave us a preview of what they’d be wearing on Sunday night during their practice session. Some of the Jordan Brand athletes including Dwyane Wade, Gerald Wallace, and Joe Johnson wore new All-Star PE colorways of the just released Air Jordan 2010, proving that there are some colorways of this new Air Jordan sneaker worth picking up, Wade’s was a little different than Wallace’s and Johnson’s. Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul, also Jordan Brand athletes, wore All-Star colorways of their signature shoes the Melo M6 and CP3.III respectively. Most of the Nike players wore All-Star PE’s of either the Hyperize. Derron Williams who wore the new Hyperdunk Low in the Skills Challenge broke out a pair of All-Star Hyperdunk Low PE’s in the Daring Red West colorway. Kevin Durant got off the West Team Bus wearing a pair of the new Air Jordan VI’s in Black and Varsity Red but when he got on the court he was wearing his All-Star colorway of the KD2′s. Brandon Roy who will be sitting out because of a strained right hamstring was still at practice supporting his West All-Stars in a pair of the Varsity Red colored All-Star Air Force 1 Low’s. LeBron James seemed to want to save his All-Star colored Air Max LeBron VII’s for the big night as he was spotted practicing in a pair of White and Midnight Navy VII’s instead. Check out what the rest of the NBA All-Star’s were wearing at practice after the jump…

The 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend hosted it’s annual All-Star Saturday Night last night with the stars coming out either to participate in one of the many events or to sit courtisde and cheer for their teammates or friends. New York Knicks Guard, Nate Robinson, become the first three-time winner of the Slam Dunk Contest taking home his third trophy by beating out Toronto Raptors’ Rookie, Demar Derozan. Robinson had our attention but his Knicks’ Air Max Hyperize PE’s (Thanks Erosion!) were nothing like the KRYPTONATE Foamposite Lite PE’s he wore last year, Derozan decided to go with the same pair of White, Black, and Varsity Red Kobe V’s he wore when he defeated Eric Gordon in the first ever Slam Dunk-In during halftime of the NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge. Charlotte Bobcats’ Gerald Wallace broke out a pair of the new PE colorway of the Air Jordan Icons, the shoes were done up in an all patent leather Navy to match his Bobcats away uniform. And lastly, Shannon Brown of the Los Angeles Lakers, who many had predicted to win the Dunk Contest, decided to go with a pair of Nike iD Zoom Kobe V’s and was even assisted by the Black Mamba himself, who suited up in a Lakers warmup and a pair of the Bruce Lee Nike Zoom Kobe V’s. While the Dunk Contest participants seemed to have the most heat out of any of the other competitions there were some other notable sneakers that were seen on Saturday night including a new PE colorway of Kevin Durant’s KDII signature sneaker that he wore when competing in a game of H.O.R.S.E. His teammate Russell Westbrook, showed his support for KD by wearing the new All-Star colorway of the KD2 during the Skills Challenge. Check out who else was in attendance after the jump…

Jacob stopped by last night’s Copper Foamposite release at Footaction 34th Street in NYC to pick up his pair and take some photos for us. Similar to the release of the Pearl Foamposite the midnight release was a madhouse with a large crowd gathered outside the busy corner shop at 34th Street and 7th Avenue. Most had numbers for the release but it was still hectic, Nikestore (for those who follow us on Facebook & Twitter) release them at midnight as well and sold out within a few minutes. If you didn’t get your pair in stores, you only chance of getting a pair now is probably on eBay.

The celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Jordan Brand will kick off this weekend, as the Air Jordan 1 25th Anniversary is set to release along with the Air Jordan 2010. In addition to the release of the shoes is a small selection of Silver Anniversary apparel and accessories – the Jordan UNC Jersey and a Silver Anniversary Duffle Bag. Both items are given the Silver treamtment; the UNC jersey is white with a silver trim with the famous Elephant print on the inside, while the Duffle, a collaboration between Jordan Brand and Cole Haan, features premium leather with matte silver hardware. Both the jersey and bag are very limited, with just 500 of each made. These are available today at MAJOR.

This new colourway of the Nike WMNS Royalty High screams “80′s tennis”, but that’s probably because i’m thinking of the Reebok Court Victory Pump that Michael Chang wore in ’89. The colourways are very similar, but the Royalty Mid is more street-chic than court-savvy; the patent leather turbo green ankle and monsoon blue tongue agree. The classic color combo is finished off with a trifecta of grey textures; dull on the midsole, distressed on the swoosh, and lustrous on the ankle lace eyelets. This pair is now available at The Good Will Out.

For the female who dreams all day about…sneakers, check out this new colourway of the adidas Originals Campus Street Mid in an eye-catching gradient-colored upper design. The upper fades from a evening blue to black, which reminds you of the last few minutes before night-time has completely arrived and marks the time the ladies trade in their kicks for stilettos. Finishing off the colourway is a solid black tongue and toe contrasted with white laces and three stripes. If you need these in your life, pick ‘em up at Shelta.
