Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration South Africa Kronk Spring / Summer 2010

As the host of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa is due for some additional world-wide exposure as a country in love with footballing. Nike got in touch with Cape Town native Kronk, a designer/illustrator with a penchant for the colorful and whimsical, to design the South Africa’s part in the Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration. Like that of the USA, UK, and Brazil Six Collection, the South African Collection includes a select choice of kicks and gear, all with a patriotic touch. Kronk designed a t-shirt graphic that displays the enthusiastic attitude South Africa has for the sport. Check out the collection of gear and expect these to drop in time for the 2010 World Cup.

Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration UK James Jarvis Spring / Summer 2010

England is unquestionably one of the biggest football countries in the world, and its craze for the sport has permeated the worldwide market. David Beckham plays part time for the LA Galaxy, and the Manchester Utd. kit has become as much of a fashion item as it is fan gear. It’s no surprise that England was included in the Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration, which features a small variety of great Nike Sportswear sneakers, like the Nike Footscape Free Motion, and apparel, like the N98 Track Jacket and AW77 hoodie. Nike chose James Jarvis, British graphic artist, to design England’s part of the Six. Known for his illustrations, Jarvis designed a crest logo of a cartoon lion, sitting on top of the number 10, which UK reserves for its best players. With FIFA World Cup play just months away, expect England to be in the mix come Championship time.

Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration Brazil Nunca Spring / Summer 2010

When one thinks of Brazil, he immediately thinks of yellow, green, and blue, the unforgettable color-combination of the Brazilian flag and of the nation’s football kit. With such a storied history in the sport, Nike has collaborated with Brazilian street artist Nunca to put his magic touch on a small collection of Nike Sportswear gear for its Six Collaboration. Nunca designed a crest that features five stars, representing Brazil’s record five FIFA World Cup Championships, and his hieroglyphic handwriting gives an archaelogic touch to a country that already has a storied ancient history. The collection also features great Nike Sportswear kicks like the Nike Air BW Gen II and Nike Dunk High AC. Check out the images after the jump because you should know anything ‘Brazil’ and ‘Soccer’ go hand in hand.

Nike Rejuven8 Lunarlite Mid 2010 Collection

The Nike Rejuven8 Lunarlite Mid is one of the shining stars of Nike Sportswear’s 2010 line-up. Aiming to bring the ultimate breathable, stable, and comfortable shoe, Nike reinvented the Rejuven8 while keeping the one-piece structure and created the Nike Rejuven8 Lunarlite Mid, which features a Lunarlite foam sole with Torch-fitted upper. It was simple math to Nike, really: Lightweight + Stable = Maximum Performance. The Rejuven8 Mid is also fit for other physical activity, and is also enabled with Nike+ for the runners. Arriving in a number colourways, some of which Sneaker News previewed, the Nike Rejuven8 Lunarlite Mid will most definitely be a great choice for the active and those in team sports.

Nike Sportswear Six Collaboration USA Mister Cartoon Spring / Summer 2010

Soccer is the unrivaled #1 most popular sport in the world; Europeans and South Americans go stark raving mad over their favorite clubs, and during the World Cup, proud countrymen wear their hearts on their sleeves and cheer on their Home National Teams. Soccer is gaining a lot of steam in the USA, and as part of the Nike Six Collaboration, Nike partnered up with long-time contributor and Los Angeles legend Mister Cartoon to put out a small collection of soccer kits and gear. The collection includes the Nike Tiempo, Nike Footscape Free Motion, and the Nike Rejuven8 Lunarlite Chukka, and a set of apparel with Mister Cartoon’s trademark artistic strokes. Each artist in the Nike Six Collaboration was asked to create their own mascot, crest, badge, and alphabet print; given Mister Cartoon’s great history of art on past Nike shoes, you’ll definitely want to check these out.

Nike Air Max 95 Neon 2010 Retro Available on eBay

Neon!  If you’re a real sneakerhead, this exclamation needs no further explanation.  In other words, Neon Knows.  And that’s why we’re seeing the second Nike Air Max 95 Neon retro release in as many years.  This OG colourup is typically held to very limited quantities, so you probably didn’t get a pair last year.  Even if you did, were you smart enough to cop four or five extras to keep on ice?  Maybe you just want to fill your entire closet with this shoe; we wouldn’t blame you.   It’s certifiably one of the greatest designs and colourblocking schemes ever.  And they’re set for a retail release at the end of the month, but we all know how hard it can be to get the best AM95 colourways, so you can be safe and secure a pair early from JBseller on eBay.

Nike ACG Pyroclast Black Purple Available on eBay

Getting a comfortable yet supportive trail running shoe under $100 bucks is damn near impossible these days.  How about just over half that?!  Enter the latest Nike ACG Pyroclast in black with grey and purple accents.  It’s got that super aggressive, almost Air Trainer 1-like anti-roll support on the forefoot, but the treads on these aren’t quite as ridged as some of the recent ACG models.  They’d be perfect beaters, and you might not ever wear them out.  Cop a pair today from StepToRun on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) LA Lakers Home April 2010

Kobe Bryant already has a shoe to match his Los Angeles Lakers’ home uniforms, right?  If you’re thinking of the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Inline’, you’re only partially right, cos those are made to match LA’s white alternate-home unis.  As for this one, it’s got both purple and gold accents atop a white base.  Like alot of ZKVs, these have a nice pearly finish that gives off extra shades of colour, depending on your angle.  They’ll hit Nike Basketball retailers including Foot Locker right around playoff time this April.

Nike Navaro High White Navy Grey

The Nike Navaro High came onto the scene looking like something you’d expect from Nike 6.0 with its bloody splatter print.  It also looks quite a bit like the Blazer High, a shoe that’s a common jumpoff point for modern lifestyle designs.  This pair of Navaro Highs is a good example of how that classic basketball design looks so good.  Imagine a Blazer/All-Court with an extra-padded ankle collar, done in white with navy accents.  Toss on a bold tongue tag, and you’ve got the latest Nike Navaro, now available at Finish Line.
