Bodega x Saucony Shadow 5000

Saucony and Boston’s Bodega have teamed up to work together on the Saucony Shadow 5000. A total of four different suede colored Shadow 5000′s will be released in the upcoming months at select Japanese Saucony accounts. All four pairs come with a unique color blocking scheme that includes a cream colored midsole and gum colored outsole. Let’s hope that for all of us out there who love retro running shoes, these will be made available in the United States. via Sneaker Freaker

Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme Destroyers Pack New Images

The Nike Destroyers pack typically consists of the Nike Dunk High, like last year’s trio of the Dunk High that included three gradient colourways of the Dunk. The Nike Air Force 1 managed to get on the guest list as we saw a Destroyer Air Force 1 Mid drop alongside two Dunks in last year’s collection. This year, the AF1 reaches higher, literally, in the Nike Air Force 1 High Tokyo Destroyer that we previewed just a few days ago. Resembling the recently released Workboot Air Force 1, this new pair of Destroyers is all-black with Tokyo Destroyer branding on the heel and lace dubrae, and in big letters across the back of the letterman jacket. Check out the new images and stay tuned to Sneaker News for release info. via verbal.

NBA Feet: Jared Jeffries Air Jordan XI (11) 25th Anniversary

During last night’s overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks’ starting power forward, Jared Jeffries, was seen wearing a pair of the upcoming Air Jordan XI (11) that are a part of the 25th Anniversary Collection from Jordan Brand. Jeffries has been an unofficial member of Brand Jordan ever since he was drafted by the Washington Wizards back in 2002-03. While some of you might be asking how Jared Jeffries was fortunate enough to become one of a few players in the League to be wearing exclusive Jordan’s, it should not be forgotten that he was one of the few players the Michael Jordan drafted during his short lived tenure with the Wizards. Jeffries’ 25th Anniversary Air Jordan XI’s will be dropping in the coming months at select Jordan Brand retailers. via Yahoo Sports

DC x Sixpack Double Label Project Spring 2010

One Sixpack a year doesn’t sound like much, but in this context, any more would be overkill.  As it stands, the Sixpack x DC Shoes Double Label Project has a perfect balance in this its third edition.  Fresh off last year’s trio with French artist AKROE, this pack of an Admiral High and Sector 7 lowtop plus a couple tees and a New Era 59/50 were coloured up by Michael Thornsby, aka PMKFA.  He chose a cool grey perforated leather upper with translucent soles for both pairs.  The Admiral is tonal, the Sector 7 almost a totally different look thanks to the purple tint.  And you can push the clothing either way, nice stuff and pretty versatile too.  Expect these at select DC retailers soon.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) Grey Pack Release Info

Pics of this LeBron VII Grey pack have been floating around for a while, and now some new info on the pack has recently surfaced. It appears that all three colorways will be exclusive to Eastbay and will be available on March 5th. With the pack dropping just in time for the kickoff of this year’s March Madness mayhem, it will be interesting to see if some college squads start rocking the Grey patent look come tourney time. You can’t deny that these would be a nice fit with the school colors of a few prominent teams that are outfitted by Nike. via SC.

Jordan Brand April 2010 Footwear Preview

April means NBA Playoffs, and this year, it also means a slam dunk of a lineup from Jordan Brand.  Clockwise from the top-right, you’ve got the ‘Grape’ Jordan Spiz’ike, which actually takes part of the colour scheme of the Air Jordan VIII Aqua, but gets the Grape designation thanks to the predominantly white upper.  Speaking of AJVIIIs, how about the Air Jordan Force VIII, which is possibly more appealing in the new white, black and yellow colourway.  It’s a clean look and since it’s not directly nicknamed or attached to the Jordan legacy, this AJF8 can stand on its own merit.

Next up is the first-time-as-a-retro Air Jordan 1 Retro KO.  This AJKO comes in the OG white/black/red Bulls colourup, plus vintage detailing to enhance the canvas vibe.  Last but not least is the top-left pair, an Air Jordan VI Retro that looks like a formalwear shoe, but balls like the Detroit Pistons.  If you haven’t already spent your tax refund, it’ll probably be gone by the time these four hit retail shelves along with a whole slew of other JB drops for April.

Nike Air Max Light Black White Neptune Blue

The Nike Air Max Light probably has the highest following-to-hype ratio.  We rarely hear about them in advance, but due at least in part to their often Euro-exclusive status, AMLs are among the Swoosh’s top cult favourites.  Here comes a new pair for spring, and despite the heavy use of black, they manage a warm feel thanks to the bright green and blue accent hits.  Almost an un-Huarache OG look here with the black base instead of white, grab a pair today from JDSports.

Converse Skateboarding CTS High Black Microperf

Here’s another dope release from Converse Skateboarding.  Once an afterthought division of a company who lost its way, Cons Skate is consistently churning out some of the best releases from the One Star camp.  This time it’s the Cons CTS Hi, a Chuck Taylor All Star done in a rich black leather with microperfs, and upgraded with extra cushioning and support.  You mean it’s going to skate well, look good and feel nice?  Yeah, it is a Chuck after all.  A very hot pair of perhaps the single most versatile shoe in history, these black leather CTSes just hit at Atlas.

Air Jordan V Wall Art by Vincent Krupky Clervi

Artist Vincent Clervi is better known as Krupky, and probably best known around these parts for his insane work for the 2009 Nike x Doernbecher Children’s Hospital collection.  There’s no doubting that Krupky’s work for Doernbecher was dope, but this one takes it to a new level.  He disassembled the Fire Red Air Jordan Vs (either OGs, or probably the 2000 Retros) into a fractal-like work that has Sole Collector‘s logo as the nexus of its universe.  What an awesome birthday present for SC/ISS boss Steve Mulholland.  Who knew writing about sneakers could get you 1of1 artwork (and a Porsche in the garage?!).

Air Jordan Icons Jordan Brand Classic White Black Yellow

As each year passes, the Air Jordan legacy grows with it.  In this 25th Anniversary celebration there’s so much wealth to pass around that the upcoming Jordan Brand Classic high school all-star game is set to have not one but two PE releases.  Both are Air Jordan Icons, and whereas the other goes the All-American route, these are done in one of the more enduring non-Chicago Jordan palettes: black, white and yellow.  The game is in a couple of weeks, March 1st to be exact, so stick with Sneaker News in case any more Jordan Brand Classic PEs pop up.  via Kinstor

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) Charlotte Hornets

We’ve come to expect a Hornets colourup for LeBron James Nike signatures, and also recently from Kobe Bryant’s kicks.  Whereas LeBron’s refer to his first rec league team from back in grade school, Kobe was made a man on June 24th 1996, drafted by the then Charlotte Hornets.  This Nike Zoom Kobe V is a clear sendup of the oldschool Hornets unis, and the reptile skin on the tongue especially, takes on a sort of hive-ish appearance when viewed in this context.  Interestingly enough, there aren’t many more remarkable details aside from the colourway, so stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you posted on any updates.  via Kenlu

Nike WMNS Big Nike High Valentines Day 2010 Edition

Look fellas, Valentine’s Day is this Sunday.  How many of y’all haven’t gotten your special lady, well, something special?  Chances are you’ve attracted a mate who appreciates your own footwear stylings, and what better way to send some love than with these candy coloured Big Nike High for Women from the 2010 Valentine’s Day Pack.

The above mixed pair were designed as matching sets but the kind folks at Nike sent nitro:licious the mixed pair just for fun. Each shoe comes with a monochromatic leather upper that has a white Swoosh on top.  There’s also a white outsole and an ‘opposite’ coloured midsole.  In other words, what’s pink on one is red on the other, and vice versa.  This pairs came out looking good enough that we wouldn’t be shocked to see them much later in the year.  Getting a pair, on the other hand, requires you to hit up your local Nike Sportswear retailer before it’s too late.
