Nike’s naming conventions can be kinda confusing for the average onlooker. You’ve got Premiums, Supremes, Quickstrikes, and the list goes on. With the Converse First String collection, you know pretty well what to expect right off the bat. We’re talking top of the line quality applied to the One Star’s all-star silhouettes. In this case, we’re being literal, as these Converse Chuck Taylor All Star lowtops come to us in deluxe black or blue chambray, with a purple edition dropping later this year. Expect these at UNDFTD on the left coast and Ubiq back east; they’ll retail for $70 when they drop later this month.

The Neon Nike Air Max 95 is a timeless design, due in large part to its superbly balanced palette. At a time when shades of grey are used to balance wild accent colours and textures mroe than ever, it’s appropriate to see how close the Neon colourup is to alot of what we see with new releases. This time it’s the Nike Air Wildwood ACG trail runner, who follows its own meandering path up from the black sole to a light grey at the top. Need more neons? These just became available from StepToRun on eBay.

NIKEiD represents a lot of what’s good about technology in sneakers these days. Not only did it spawn a whole series of competetors online, but you can also head to a Nike flagship store and get your iDs made on the spot. 21 Mercer in NYC has the exclusive Air Force 1 Bespoke program, and now there’s a new NIKEiD Studio at Nike Silvercord in Hong Kong that just opened last Wednesday. If you’re in the area, make an appointment for a 60 min 1on1 design consultation for your 1of1. Be sure to check out more photos after the jump too; this place looks more like a swanky lounge than your typical shoe store. via FRESHNESS

In case nobody cared enough to put you on notice, Nike 6.0 is not for games no mo’. Six point ohs are designed for action sports, though, and the Swoosh sublabel is rising to new heights thanks to (finally) consistent quality releases. Case in point: the latest Nike 6.0 Mavrk Mid 2, which looks about as good as it ever has here in obsidian with glass blue accents. If these were ballistic nylon, we’d be thinking ‘Air Jordan XIII All Star’, but with shoes like this one, Nike 6.0 is making its own name. Jump on the bandwagon and grab yours today from Size?

Vans Vault was pretty noisy about their debut last winter, giving us alot of previews of what was to come for their subtly-designed premium tier. A bit quieter over the last few months, we’re glad to see some new Mountain Edition Mids revealed for the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The entire trio relies on tonal suede and perforated leather uppers, held together by white stitching. Simple yet effective, these Mtn Editions are currently available at select Vans Vault retailers. via HB

Nike Basketball is seemingly all about the Kobes, LeBrons and Hypers of the world, but don’t forget about the rest of their roster. You go just a step down in global fame from Steve Nash with his signatures and you get this new look likely to be worn by former teammate Dirk Nowitzki. The Nike Air Max Turnaround is named after Dirk’s signature offensive move, and a clear follow up to last year’s Air Max Spot Up. Interestingly enough, they sorta resemble the also sleek Zoom Hustle, one of Tony Parker’s current looks. As dependable as a Dallas playoff spot, these Turnarounds just released from Nike Basketball retailers including ID4shoes on eBay.

Pay very close attention. adidas Consortium revealed the Artillery Mid NBA Celebrity All Star Pack yesterday, but these are different. These adidas Originals Artillery Mids equal parts red, white and blue, so you pretty much win either way. Not only is this thing covered in premium materials like faux-lizard and patent leather, but they’re accompanied by a black Superstar 80s for a steal at only $180 for both pairs. Expect them in retailers, like, now, with the NBA All Star Weekend 2010 ready to jump off on Friday. via SC

To true sneakerheads, Tinker Hatfield is a name with nearly as much cache as Michael Jordan. Hard to believe to outsiders, but those of us who follow these games know that Jordan revolutionized basketball on-court, while Tink was in the Kitchen cooking up some revolutionary designs. Hatfield didn’t come on board for the Air Jordan signature line until the unbeatable AJIII, so this Air Jordan Alpha 1 is a nice way to tie together Jordan Brand’s 25 years. And it’s certainly a ‘mature’, subtle colourway, with a nice bright orange pop from the updated and extra cushy ankle collar. These joints should touch down next Monday, February 15th at JB retailers like Wish.

Nike’s Think Pink pack got a welcome addition last year with a Kay Yow Cancer Fund-benefitting Zoom Kobe IV (4). It was a popular look for WNBA stars like Becky Hammon, so we expect more to come. This new Nike Zoom Kobe V, however, is just standard pink-and-shrink, except that it’s labeled as a ‘Boys’ release. Call it Boys, kids, GS, whatever, the fact remains that some little girl out there is going to absolutely love you for copping these for her, especially if there’s anything left of her rec league schedule. Then again, these are boys sizes, so they’re 1.5 bigger and NikeStore has up to 7, so ladies 8.5 and below can have at em, and at quite a bargain!

We haven’t seen much of the Puma First Round since it appeared as the Liziod and Mocha Kings in last year’s spectacularly detailed Japanese Monsters Pack. This time around, it’s a decidedly calmer affair, though, with that much room to work, these are still eye-catching. The two-toned suede and leather uppers offer a stark contrast for some cool LOT78-designed graphics on the rear, plus just a touch of pink. Limited to a scant 400 pairs, you better grab yours now from Schuh-You.

Attention relatively-small feet of the world! Nike Sportswear just unleashed one of finest sets of womens and kids kicks we can remember seeing all at once. Keep in mind, anyone can rock these so long as they fit, and it’s not too uncommon these days to see guys rocking select ladies colorups. One such candidate is the black, white and red Nike Blazer High that’s done here in nubuck with a tumbled leather Swoosh.
The white patent leather joints with latticework perfs is decidedly more feminine, and somewhere in the middle is the pearlized purple and white Big Nike High that brings back memories of the Foamposite Pack. Last but certainly not least, the Valentines Day 2010 Big Nike High, which you’ll see later today, is more than meets the eye in these photos. Grab any or all four of these pairs today from your local Nike Sportswear retailer like Premium Laces in NYC.

What a weekend it was; the biggest commercial sporting event of the year went down on Sunday night, and a shoe-release of equal proportions made its mark on the day before. Quickstrikes, PEs, Jordans, you name it. Among the releases was the White/Black/Red Nike Zoom Kobe V, which might’ve been shrouded by the All-Star and Bruce Lee versions of the same shoe. It’s all good though; the white/red/black is still a great colourway (definitely my favorite of the original Zoom Kobe), so if you happened to overlook them, grab a pair from kixpress from eBay.
