adidas is clearly serious about becoming the world’s #1 baskteball brand. With this latest news, however, you might wonder if being too serious makes Adi a dull boy. The NBA’s minor league, NBDL aka D-League has ordered that any logos aside from Three Stripes be covered. adidas is offering to pay for the players’ kicks, but given that their Stripes allow for heavier branding than any other major sports label, particularly on the uniforms (just think back to Wimbledon a couple years ago), we can’t help but wonder if this is overkill. May the best shoe win, but we as sneakerheads especially, we want to look at a variety of shoes! via SoleCollector
