Taking a look at the first round matchups in the Air Jordan region of our Sneaker News March Madness Sneaker Tournament, it’s pretty clear that many of these choices will not be easy ones. Although each design is a bona fide classic in its own right, some difficult decisions will have to be made before the field gets thinned out and only one Air Jordan model advances to the Final Four. Keep reading after the jump to place your Round 1 votes for the Air Jordan region. Round 1 voting will run until Sunday, March 21st, with the winners announced next Monday.

First of all, everyone, I think we are voting on the shoes themselves, not the colorways…
iii>xii: that was a tuff one… even though the 12′s are some of the greatest sneakers of all time, the 3′s are what started the movement… the design, materials, textures, just the whole vibe of the shoe
xi>vii: as much as I love the 7s, particularly the bordeaux jawns, the xi may well be the greatest sneaker of all time
iv>xiii: no brainer. 13′s are classic, but just cant compete with the 4′s
vi>v: this was by far the hardest choice.. both have such unique design cues… but you just can’t beat them effin sixes.. the toungue, the spoiler, especially the infrareds… c’mon,son

Mad people are bitching each other out based on colorway too, thinking that if they vote for a unique colorway that their higher up on the shoe game. The XI’s were classic ’cause it was the first sneaker people saw as versatile. I remember peeps rocking them with suits, and they looked ridiculously futuristic for their time. I also have horrible news. The infrared pack will be releasing in July…..but……. sadly,its an INTERNATIONAL release only.
