It didn’t take too long for Nike SB newcomer Omar Salazar to have a special colorway of his signature shoe. Dinosaur Jr. – the iconic metal rock band led by J. Mascis and his signature Fender Jazzmaster – was the inspiration behind the surprising Nike SB Dunk High that released back in 2007, and again serves as the muse for this version of the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar. Green and purple are common themes for J. Mascis’ album artwork, and combined with Salazar’s affinity for the intergalactic, this latest colorway will definitely give you a spike in visual stimulation. These will hit select Nike SB accounts soon, as they have already arrived at Premier.

Just in time for the start of another long season, the Futura x Nike Air Force 1 Yankees Pack is ready to hit retail. These aren’t exactly your typical Mickey Mantle material, as Futura’s Yankee characters are more like Never, Never Land than anybody in Brooklyn, and the color combinations are curious as well. With the silver-on-white hightops, it’s not too much of a stretch, but purple soles on the metallic silver AF1 lows is a little Dinosaur Jr.-like and requires you use your imagination. But that’s what Futura’s all about, so if you like his style, these are right over the heart of the plate for you. You can find them both starting tomorrow from Nike Sportswear retailers like Kicks/HI, or grab a pair of the lows today from eBay.

Derek Fisher has accumulated a careeer PPG of 9.0, and his daughter might be one of the main reasons people know his name. On the other hand, he’s a 4-time NBA Champion and one of the key bench players during the LA Lakers’ decade of dominance. So while you don’t commonly see a guy who scores in single digits get shine for his player exclusives (cough, Jared Jeffries, cough), D-Fish is an integral part of the Lakers’ magic and quite deserving of these Nike Hyperize PEs. Both come decked in the colors you’d expect: purple and gold with either black accents for away or white for home. A MASH-like script on the tongue tags verify that Fisher’s D is war-ready and you can see more pics of his exclusive kicks after the jump. via Nike Basketball

Drake along with various members of the Young Money family performed during MTV’s Spring Break 2010 in Acapulco, Mexico this past week. During Drake’s performance of his new single “Over” the Young Money rapper was spotted wearing a pair of the recently released Air Jordan 1 Retro High 25th Anniversary Edition’s. Drizzy has said in a previous relationship that he’s got a great relationship with the people at Jordan Brand and it shows as he’s been seen wearing a number of the Silver Anniversary Air Jordan’s as of late including this Metallic Silver Air Jordan 1 Retro High. via ATF

The Jordan Brand BIN23 Collection was announced earlier this month marking the next step of brand’s forward movement. The BIN23 Collection is said to feature iconic Air Jordan models expertly constructed with premium materials, and the leather-laden Air Jordan II Premio was proof of that. Here’s a sneak peek at what could be the next addition to the BIN23 Collection.
As you can clearly see, this White/Gold colorway of the Air Jordan IX features the BIN23 wax stamp on the upper panel, signifying the shoe’s inclusion in the choice collection of footwear. While there seems to be a lack of the high-quality leather that was used on the Air Jordan II Premio, it’s possible that alterations may have been made since these sample pics were snapped. It’s rumored that these will be hitting Asia in April in very limited numbers, but we’ll keep you posted on further info. Let us know if you think this proposed colorway of the Air Jordan IX is worthy enough for BIN23. via FC.T.

We’ve seen a ton of non-Kobe colorways of the Kobe V, like the Duke Zoom Kobe V and White/Red Kobe V that featured colortones not readily tied to the Black Mamba. This latest colorway features a slightly different shade of blue but completely overtakes the upper canvas. You might think that this pair has too many similarities to the Duke V, but on glaring difference is the lack of special texture; no cracked marble or snakeskin here – just straight up Flywire. Another Kobe V first is the all-white sole. Considering most of the off-colored Kobe Vs have some inspiration behind them, what could be the source for this latest pair? The Blue Man Group? Avatar? Check out these new images and give us your best shot at nicknaming this Kobe V. via Marquee Sole.

With the cool grey/marina blue Air Griffey Max 1 being a 450 foot frozen rope of a ‘hit’, it was only a matter of time before the rest of The Kid’s signatures got some nu-retro colorways. The Nike Air Griffey Max 2 GD appears above in cool grey as well, but instead of any bright accents, these are strictly business with black hits on the tongue and sole. Neither much of a ‘springy’ look, but April showers will bring the bred pair, followed by these cool grey joints that should hit Nike Sportswear retailers like Foot Locker in May 2010.

We’re already halfway through the 2010 NCAA March Madness Tournament, and some teams we thought would be cutting down the nets have seen early exits. With two #1 seeds already gone, it truly is anyone’s game. Check out this black/orange colorway of the Nike Air Max Hyperize March Madness Pack; the tongue tag showcases the scissor-and-nets logo but behind the tongue lies a short, concise message directed towards the young players who give their all on the court: “Dream”. Check out the detailed images of the Nike Air Max Hyperize Final Four Pack after the jump. via kinstor.

We don’t need to tell you that the Nike Footscape is one of those cult-hit hate-it-or-love-it type shoes that have managed to become a household name. While this purple colorway of the Nike Footscape Freemotion isn’t the first that we saw, it was in fact the first pair in which we got a detailed look of the Fujiwara-designed shoe. New images of the purple colorway have arrived again, and the deep purple color of the upper combined with the flowing Flywire lines and Fragment logo make this 21st Century design absolutely tempting. Is this radical update to the classic Footscape worthy enough to be included in the Sneaker News Top 30 Sneakers of 2010? That remains to be seen. MarqueeSole has a size 8.5 for sale if you can’t wait to add these to your stash.
