Nike Air Max Hyperize March Madness Varsity Royal Black | Available

Day One and already March Madness has put the viewing public in an absolute craze. Murray State beat 5th seed Vanderbilt on a last-second tip-in while Big East contender Georgetown fell to Ohio. Over the last week or so, we’ve been reporting college colorways of the Nike Hyperdunk to keep our readers up to date on Tournament kicks, but check out this new colorway of the Nike Air Max Hyperize in black-blue and take note of the tongue label; it looks like this Duke University colorway is ready to cut down some nets. They’re a bonafide Championship contender so perhaps the tongue graphic is a sign of things to come. Purchase a pair of these over at Finishline, and don’t forget to continue reading for a coupon code that’ll save you some dough on any Finishline purchase.

Nike Hyperdunk Michigan State Spartans PE

Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans look to get back to the NCAA title game and begin their quest today against New Mexico State.  NM State is an Under Armour school, but Sparty rolls with the Swoosh.  Their Nike Hyperdunk PE follows the same formula we’ve seen from several other Nike Basketball schools: school colors framing a nice gradient on the Flywire-eqiupped side panels.  Check out the big ‘S’ on the tongue and more shots after the jump.

Nike Dunk High Zoom White Blue Sea Green

The latest of the Nike Dunk High with branded Zoom is the white, sea green, and blue colorway. The colorway itself might seem familiar, as it was seen on a Nike Air Max 90 from 2006 that was unfortunately overshadowed by the re-release of the Infrared Air Max 90 (kudos to you if you remember that release). This Nike Dunk High Zoom is set to release at Nike retailers soon, so keep your ears to the ground! via Colmilludo.

Air Jordan XII Rising Sun Customs by Intrxn

Customizing kicks is a subset of the sneaker culture inhabited by artistic minds and talented artists. We’ve seen our fair share of intense customs, but this latest one, fashioned by intrxn of California, easily takes the cake as the most intricately detailed customized piece of footwear in recent memory. Using the Air Jordan XII Rising Sun as the foundation, intrxn used four pillars of music and fashion as the inspirational figures; Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Elvis, and Alexander McQueen and their respective trademarks and memorable quotes were implemented into the design of the shoe, in which intrxn expertly epitomized the essences of his muses. Check out the images after the jump and let us know what you think.

Classics Revisited: Nike Air Solo Flight 90

Since 1987, the league was dominated by bulging big men who made a living banging down low, throwing gritty elbows and getting involved in punishing close-quarters combat in the paint. There was no room for the smaller guys. Literally. But as the years went on, a growing number of players reliant on speed, agility, and high-flying maneuverability commenced their aerial attack and blossomed into a formidable opponent to those who pledged their allegiance to the Force. In 1989, Nike introduced the Flight series, which created a polemic divide; thusly, the Force vs. Flight rivalry was born, paving the way for Nike Basketball over the next decade.

Nike released three Flight models during its flagship year of 1989, with the second generation of Flight introduced just a year later. The Nike Air Solo Flight ’90 was one of the aboriginal Nike Flight models; it featured a solid rubber outsole with built-in flex grooves that did not feature a visible Air unit unlike its accomplice, the Nike Air Flight. What the Air Solo Flight ’90 did feature was a stitched label on the inside of the tongue, which happens to be a defining feature of the Air Jordan IV. The Nike Air Solo Flight ’90 was the weapon of choice for many NBA swingmen of that year, and today, the classic Flight shoe has firmly established its place in Nike Basketball history. Continue on to Sneaker News HD for a great gallery of this vintage piece.

Nike Air Max 24/7 Navy Blue Silver White

The upcoming Nike Air Max 24/7 combines three notches on the Air Max belt into one shoe that partly summarizes the History of Air. Utilizing prominent design cues of the Nike Air Max 95, Air Max 97, and 360 Air Unit of the Air Max 2009, the Nike Air Max 24/7 is meant to be worn all day, every day (just not in your sleep…that’s just weird). This newest colorway combines a obsidian leather upper (Air Max 95 SL in blue denim, anyone?) and other tones of blue with silver 3M. Peep the new AIR MAX logo on the tongue; similar to the original but with the Caps Lock on. This is just one of many sick colorways of the 24/7 – can’t forget the Nike Air Max 24/7 Air Attack Pack – set for a soon release, so check back with Sneaker News because like this Air Max, we’re on top of everything 24/7. via Osneaker.

Celebrity Feet: Snoop Dogg adidas Superstar Stripes

Snoop Dogg visited BET’s 106 & Park earlier this week to promote his new album, More Malice, the deluxe version of his latest album, Malice N Wonderland. The new version will include various new tracks and remixes, as well as a mini-movie starring Snoop as a superhero who tries to save his city from destruction. Snoop took to the set wearing a Powder Blue adidas Originals tracksuit, along with a pair of the adidas Consortium Superstar “Stripes”, which were released last year. Snoop Dogg has been seen wearing a lot of adidas Originals product as of late and it should come as no surprise because he’s actually one of the newest members of the adidas Originals family.

Supra Bandit Spring 2010 Releases | Available

Supra unveiled Tom Penny’s new signature shoe for Spring 2010.  Penny’s Bandit midtop has recently dropped in simple black and Timbo-brown colorups, and this latest look could have dropped about a month back.  The vibrant red leather upper reminds us of all the Valentine’s Day 2010 kicks that just passed, but with red and white accents, these are guaranteed to work any time of year.  And there’s no time like the present to grab a new pair; these just hit at select Supra retailers.

Jordan Accolades Black Red

To this point, we’ve seen two pairs of Air Jordan Accolades, and each is quite different.  The first pair we saw was covered in laser-etchings, while the newer joints are perforated just like most Air Jordan 2010s.  Add another to the former category, where an unparalleled career’s worth of designs and symbols are covering everything but the lace plackets (which themselves, are very AJ2010-like).  Who knows how many more pairs of Accolades we’ll see, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.
