What was supposed to be a celebratory gesture of sorts has become a debate-sparking controversy among those who have followed the brand unconditionally. The Jordan Brand BIN23 Collection features classic Air Jordan silhouettes constructed with high quality materials and placed in premium packaging, which apparently infers that Jordan Brand doesn’t believe $150+ just isn’t what it used to be. Nonetheless, Jordan loyalists will keep in tune with the Collection.
Last Friday, Sneaker News gave you a sneak peek at an Air Jordan IX in a white/gold colorway; the visible wax stamp on the upper led us to believe that it was indeed part of the BIN23 Collection, and these newer images confirms that notion. The material used for the gold upper was undeterminable before, but based on this second look, it appears to be a distressed material similar to that which was used on the Air Jordan 1 25th Anniversary. Continue reading for a better look at this Air Jordan IX BIN 23 and chime in with your thoughts. via SoleCollector.

It’s increasingly common to see their gear worn by sneaker aficionados, but this new release marks the first time 10.Deep has worked on a major footwear collaboration. The 10.Deep x adidas Stan Smith Mid ‘Raw Dogs’ are deceptively simple at first glance, but line these shoes up heel to heel and you’ll see the X’d out logo cut out of perforations on the medial side. And while grey nubuck and a gum sole might be perfect for this season, it’s the rawhide laces and monster mouth sockliner (a takeoff of 10.Deep’s sticker series) that keep these with the animal theme. Look for these at your local adidas retailers soon.

The Nike Hyperdunk Low might be perfect for those summer-time basketball sessions; it’s already a popular choice of shoe for a number NBA players like Aaron Brooks, Rajon Rondo, and Steve Nash for it’s lightweight advantages. This latest colorway of the Hyperdunk Low is very Duke or Kentucky – that’s just the nature of anything varsity royal and white, right? A closer look also reveals light grey speckling on the midsole, which has become a standard feature on the HD Low. Given its low cut and sleek styling, these would serve just as well on a casual walk in your hood. via in-52.

Nike SB looks to be releasing another Quickstrike Dunk this upcoming month of April in addition to the Nike SB Dunk High “Skunk” that was one of the most talked about shoe’s last week. While the story behind this Nike SB Dunk Low is still unknown it does feature a dope Green, Black, Gold, and Red colorway that uses Nike’s historic Safari print on the Swoosh, heel tab, and collar lining. This Dunk also mixes up a number of materials on it’s upper ranging from perforated leather to suede and of course the aforementioned Safari print. There is no word on when these will be released but it’s presumed it’ll be a Nike SB Quickstrike that will drop at select accounts in April. via Warped

If this year is anything like 2009, the NBA Playoffs and offseason will see a plethora of Nike Zoom Kobe V colorways. It probably hinges on whether the Mamba and his Lake Show can repeat, but either way, there are still quite a few ZKVs on tap for the upcoming months. Let’s take a closer look at this one, the blue, black and white joints that *aren’t* the Dark Knights or Duke Zoom Kobe Vs. On this pair, it’s a simple all blue upper, whose smooth design is a welcome respite from the ZKV’s various finishes and textures. This might be the most straightforward version of this year’s Kobe, so despite a lack of affiliation, we expect to see plenty of people cop these. The official release date remains a mystery, so check Sneaker News for updates. via Kinstor
