The Parra x Patta x Nike Air Max 1 caused plenty of buzz when images of the friends-and-family only pair was first made public. A few months later we received word that the tri-collaborative pair of Nikes was going to release to the public, and yesterday’s release at Amsterdam’s Patta was the culmination of all the previewing, salivating, and finger-crossing, all despite a limited number of pics and info. Check out these detailed images of the Parra x Patta x Nike Air Max 1, and afterwards you’d strongly considering spending a night camped outdoors for a pair. 150 euros = $206.37 and according to the ebay auctions they are going for $500-$$700. If nike thought they can stop the resale game then dropping them over seas only is not helping.
Plus death to shoes that probably stop at size 13.

They are dope, all of them have been, but 700 is crazy IMO. I am not even mad that they were a international release. If you got them more power to you but Im good.

Anyway, I’m glad they stop making AM1 in China and changed to Vietnam, quality is much better than last season.

Materials look great but other than that I don’t see what’s supposed to be so special about these – certainly not as good as the previous Patta AM1s.
Also amusing is the fact that these “oh so dedicated” guys who camped out all night are probably the ones selling them for stupid prices on ebay – they don’t give a shit about the shoes, they can just smell easy money.

I’m just stupified. I don’t know what to think. Honestly. Whatever. But, the resale market for NIKE product is amazing. This is the shit that makes the sneaker world go ’round. The question- Who really wants these? Some will want these for all of the wrong reasons. For those that actually wear these, I applaud your enthusiasm. Keep it real.

The AM1 is my favorite Air Max, and I loooove these kicks, but 500? 600?! 700?!? 900?!?!?!?!?!?!? Unfortunately I’ll have to pass unless they come to the states.

Got mine, paid retail…thanks to my hookup in Amsterdam so I wouldn’t have to wait for 21 Mercer to drop a handful of these and make the line two blocks long…just gotta know where to look and who to know…these cats reselling for 5, 6, 7 hundred are the death of the sneaker game btw.

People that aren’t impressed with the shoe have the right to voice their opinions, without any kind of dissenting voices being heard all you’d get on this site would be lame comments like “Dis shoe is da bomb” “deez R da shit – I is gunna get two pairs” – You only need to look at the comments section of virtually any post about a new mediocre air max colourway to see the sort of comments I mean.
and on the contrary – you CAN knock resellers for what they’re doing. Buying a pair and keeping them pristine for a few years before selling them on is fine, but what you see here is just profiteering – like air max aren’t overpriced enough already!
