As promised, the 2010 Sneaker News March Madness Sneaker Tournament is kicking off today. Live voting for the first round will begin tonight, but just like the NCAA tournament, we’re giving you a sneak preview of the brackets ahead of time, so you can start making your own predictions. As you can see, the selections have been made and split up into four categorical sections. Facing off for sneaker supremacy this year will be some very strong competitors from the Air Jordan, Nike Retro, Air Force 1 and Nike SB regions, with only one shoe from each moving on to eventual Final Four glory. For a better look at the breakdown, check it out in crisp full-screen format over on Sneaker News HD and check back here tonight at 8pm EST for the chance to have your voice heard, as we officially open the voting to our loyal readers.

Air Jordan 3′s, Foamposite 1′s, De La Soul, an Playstation’s in the Final 4 for me. Last 2,Foamposite and De La Soul. To win it all…………….Foamposite. I would pick the Jordan 3′s but I never had a pair but I love what Ive seen of them tho. Thats like picking Duke to beat Kansas or UConn(my fav teams) and Duke never had a player I liked. I love them De La Souls tho. Dem shits is super nice.

…pigeons… hands down and no..im not a dunk fan..but the fact that this release caused chaos, the rarity of the sneaker and that its considered a holy gral to 99% of sneakerheads out there… youll see each and every jordan up there re-released a million times on the future and every person you see can actually say that they own a pair, who you know can say they own a pair of pigeons

I think Air Jordans and Nike retro shouldn’t be on the same side of the bracket… I really don’t mess with dunks… so i don’t see them winning…The cement iv’s are my all time favorite followed by the infered VI’s Final four would more then likley be space jams Foamsposite white on white’s and De la soul… foams the winner!!!

Cement III’s, Foams, Stash and Pigeon joints. Now that’s a line up. Cement III’s all day as I can rock those to death and still always have more in the closet. Even if I had three pair of Pigeons I would be nervous to go outside in case I got heel drag on one.

How’s this gunna be a March madness tourny, but there are no ACTUAL basketball shoes here. There should be a section of basketball shoes instead of Nike retros. We need sum kobes lebrons hyperizes etc. Cmon sneakernews. And the way jordans were ranked wasn’t a very good ranking.

My final 4 are Space Jams, Foams, Unkles and Kaws…It was tough between the pidgeons and Unkles. I resorted to my preferred style, which is dunk high and design/art.. The Unkles have more design/ art element to it, not diminishing the pidgeons cuz the pidgeons are about equal in my eyes..
