Having worn the Nike Air More Uptempo to his fourth NBA title and second Olympic gold medal in summer 1996, Scottie Pippen turned to the Nike Air Max Uptempo III for the 1996-97 season. It’s been nearly 15 years now and this shoe had never been retroed, but with its predecessor Air Max Uptempo (95) pending a retro drop and successor Total Max Uptempo having enjoyed a nice run of new colors, it’s only right to see the AM Uptempo 3s back on store shelves. Pictured above is one of the OG colorways, obviously not designed for Scottie’s Bulls, as they go with a clean mix of black white and dark blue. Thats so crazy I was just thinkin of these last night and here they are today! These have always been one of my all time favorite uptempos. Hopefully the retro the black/silver and the white/black/red that pippen wore! Those were the shit!!!!
