We’re proud to announce that the Air Jordan XI is the winner of the inaugural Sneaker News March Madness Sneaker Tournament. The field of competitors was fierce from one through eight in each bracket, as we narrowed down thirty-two of the all-time greatest Air Jordan and Nike models, as well as specific colorways of classic Dunk SB and AF1 models. On its route to championship glory, the Air Jordan XI defeated three classic Air Jordan models, the mighty Air Foamposite One and perhaps the most iconic and game-changing Nike SB Dunk of our time.
Those who praised the Air Jordan XI and deemed it the favorite to win from the get-go had their predictions realized, as the AJXI won in dominating fashion. The Air Jordan XI will always be a reminder of Michael Jordan’s return to greatness. Seeing Michael clutching the gameball After winning his 4th championship, crying on the floor on Father’s Day wearing the black/red XIs will be an image I will never forget. The XI is not only a great design, but will forever have a place in sports history.

A little unfair because a specific sneaker had to go up against an ENTIRE silhouette, but it wasn’t as lopsided as it could have been. My question is who would have won between the “pigeon” dunk vs. the “Space Jam”

Sigh the strength of hypebeasts is almost sickening. Foams should’ve won. If any Jordan should’ve won it should’ve been the III’s or V’s. Much more creative and durable than the XI’s. Or the Trainer 1′s.

The dunks are named after ugly flying rats of the world. and the color way is wack as fuck. I guess if nike came out wit some dunks called the “beavers” and put some lame brown color way on them and made them extremely limited and charged 2k you SB fags would eat them up too. The XI is for the people and at a decent price. The pigeon was a over priced over hyped shoe that was produced and small numbers just for staple to get props. Well how does it feel Jeff Staple?
