Gourmet has recently undergone a full-body cleansing by putting out a collection of in-house designed footwear. Gourmet is probably more immediately connected to their use of Air Jordan silhouettes for their designs, but their first test-run in the skate realm has resulted in the Gourmet Quattro Skate Shoe. It features a leather upper with a skate-specific midsole. A black on white midsole pair will be available along side a white leather and blue leather pair, each sitting atop a translucent sole. Watch for these to drop at Gourmet retailers soon. via FM.

Sneaker News was first to report the release of the Nike Air Attack Pack which included an indomitable line-up of classic Air Max runners and newfound designs like the Air Max 24/7 and Tailwind 2010. The Nike Air Max 90 is part of the Air Attack aftershock that will hit store in May, 2010 in five great colorways. Some of these colorways might look familiar to you, like the silver/red or the faux black denim, but each assumes a new identity when laid on the Air Max 90. Check back with Sneaker News for updated release info, but in the meantime, pick up any other Nike Air Attack from Footaction.

For Paul Rodriguez, every day seems like a good day. Skating through the streets with teammate Eric Koston, running into Kobe, getting his board obliterated by Ice Cube. Being a California native, P-Rod also cheers on the Lakers, which definitely made every day a good day for all Californians (Nor-Cal heads excluded). Check out this new color of the Nike SB P-Rod 2.5, featuring a quintessential Lakers colorway. These P-Rod 2.5s should hit Nike SB spots in time for summer, so check back with Sneaker News for Nike SB updates. via Tenisufki.

Some might call STPL a cop-out but you can’t blame the man for hustling to broaden sneaker consumerism. Not to mention, despite being a fallen brand and the fact that these are sold at Payless, many were impressed far more than they thought. To follow up on STPL Design’s work for Airwalk, the new Spring 2010 collection has surfaced with new models and colors. The most notable pairs include the Facet, which resemble the classic profile of a Chuck Taylor or Blazer, the women’s Gallivant taking notes from Vans’ Zapato Del Barco. Most interesting of all- and probably the most risky form a selling point of view- is the Stovepipe, taking on the role of a women’s knee-high zip look. And there are plenty of other models to choose from, including some for kids, all complementing each other with bright Summery colors. These should already be at your local Payless, if not soon.

The Nike Air Royal Macaron Pack was inspired by the rich French-born pastry, featuring a molded leather upper that truly gives the shoe a one-piece, covered in a butter-cream layer look. Featuring five colorways – black, white, red, pastel teal and purple – the Nike Air Royal Macaron Pack was celebrated in Paris’ colette with some fun cake-designing activities. These hit a few retailers already in limited numbers, but now you can now grab your own sickly sweet pair over at Six Feet Down in-store, and will be available online soon. Dessert, anyone?

There is a lot to like about these Blazer Mid Belt’s. Firstly, the quality of the leather looks spectacular- sporting these everyday and they’re gonna break in so nice for an even more premium look. Some might have not appreciated the addition of a strap and buckle to the Terminators, but the way it was integrated into the build of the Blazer seems so natural that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Nike takes these for a ride the next season or so. The belt adds a new touch of flavor to the Blazer, and just might even impress those who never even bother with Blazers in the first place. Dressy, edgy, contemporary, mature. The Asian audience can already get their hands on them, but while the US still waits, the anxious ones can cop on eBay thanks to RMK Store.

With the first leg of the Nike Air Attack Pack in full motion, it’ll be interesting to see what shoes and colorways will have people emptying their wallets. Typically, we can assume that the classic Air Max silos will be the no-brainers, but with such strong color choices for the 24/7, Maxim 1 and even the Tailwind and Turbulence, there’s no telling what strikes people’s fancy. Here’s an inside look specifically at the monochrome Sport Red and Football Blue AM1, and the Vivid Pink Maxim 1′s.
Of course there are the skeptical ones who think to themselves that these are far too bland or simple to be making a big deal about, but older cats, and the more insightful of the younger community, know that these are the types of kicks we wait for. But if you decide to pass on monochromatic, there’s always solid colors against black, or solid against silver. Its the specific choice of tint, the way they are laid out and the choice of materials that make these things fierce. Keep reading for an in-depth look at a few gems from the Nike Air Attack Pack.

When the Nintendo Wii-inspired Nike pack dropped last year, the only model sporting visible Air was the AM95; unless you want to count that unreleased pair of Terra 90′s you may have caught a glimpse of a while back. But to counter all the retro basketball models, Nike tried to turn out a Nike Air Max 1 for the same video-game pack. What seems to be the most simplistic of the roster with an all-white covering, it’s the details that really make it stand out. Offset by the signature circuit design on the mudguard, the Wii Air Max 1 also featured croc on the medial panel, snakeskin on the overlay and a woodgrain style leather for the heel. And of course the most significant element is the clear toebox, matching the Wii Air Force II. But unfortunately, these never saw the light of day; maybe to avoid ruffling any feathers for the CLOT crew for biting the clear toe concept. Nonetheless, these will never release, so they become yet another sample model to pose the ‘what if’ question, but at least you can get a good look after the jump at what could have been. Thanks to Konkrete Jungle for the pics.

The Air Jordan XX Stealth colorway might be the most popular AJ20 to date; it combined black patent leather (since when is BPL not welcome on an Air Jordan?) and a gorgeous red lining fit for a king. This upcoming Air Jordan 1 pays tribute to arguably the best Air Jordan model + colorway post retirement (the final one) by implementing the same design cues – patent leather upper, luxurious lining, stealth grey sole. This upcoming Air Jordan 1 Phat 20 is set for the June release, so check out the detailed images after the jump. via Dunk.

As the sneaker culture grows, it’s inevitable to see more and more sneaker-inspired events. After highlighting the latest work of INSA from the Kicks N Canvas, let’s tak a look back at the entire event. Last Thursday, April 8th, the Zero Cool art gallery in London opened its doors to over 1500 people showcasing the custom sneaker art of 21 renown names. Artists included the likes Jon Burgerman, ATG, Inkie, Anthony Listers, Zoot, Copyright, and Drum & Bass legend Goldie.
The mission was for each artist to take a pair of white-on-white sneakers and grace them with their own unique style. Listers’ pair actually never made it to the show, as his pair got lost somewhere in Brooklyn; but this didn’t stop him one bit as he still showed up with other art pieces. Zoot actually burned his pair, leaving only the rubber soles to be displayed, along with photos of the destruction in progress. Each pair is up for sale and will continue to be displayed until the end of the exhibit on Saturday, April 24th. For those not able to make it to London, check out the photos and video recap below. via SF
