The Nike Zoom Kobe V should wrap up within the coming months as Kobe’s ’09-’10 season nears a close, but there are a few colorways left to go, like the Black/White-Del Sol colorway that was previewed on Sneaker News just under two months ago. It features a basic black/yellow/white colorway just like the original colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Kobe, his first official sig with Nike, with a speckled midsole that reaches up the heel. These are set for a June 2010 release in the states but just hit Europe retailers like SNS.

Once the Air Jordan II Premio was announced, it grabbed some serious attention for the new Jordan Brand BIN23 Collection, so could this Nike Air Max 97 Lux Limited Edition be a sign of things to come? Perhaps a Nike Air Max BIN collection? Very rarely is a Nike Air Max given a numbered notation – that sort of thing is usually reserved for the Air Force 1 or Air Jordan. Like the Stash x Nike Air Classic BW and Eminem Nike Air Burst, this Italian-made Nike Air Max 97 Lux Limited Edition has a limited production run – 1,695 to be exact. The upper features luxurious molded leather with perforations on the tongue and side swoosh panel, sitting atop a hot-pink Air unit, while a rear tongue label and box-tag reveals the limited quantity of the shoe. Continue reading for a detailed look, and stick with Sneaker News to find out if these will hit the States and if there could be more possible upcoming limited Air Maxes of this nature in the future. via SNS.

Is the Nike Toki hitting Blazer territory? The Blazer is a long-lived silhouette but the Toki is one of recent ideas, taken after the Nike Sabaku Mid from earlier this decade, and we’ve seen a big increase of Toki releases in 2010. These three upcoming colorways feature micro-perforations on the upper, but perforations are surely not the first on a Toki; In February of last year, a duet of the Nike Toki with perforations on the upper was released at limited locations, while later in the year a solid upper with a perforated swoosh dropped as well. White/Spice, Matte Silver/Meteor Blue, and Black/Golden Harvest colorways will be released in the Fall 2010 season, but size 9 samples of all three versions are available now from solerevival777 on eBay.

Despite the fact that (or perhaps *because*) it’s literally impossible to drive from London to New York, that’s exactly the route for this year’s Gumball 3000 rally. Puma has been amongst the famous road race’s main sponsors for years and in these new teaser pics, we get a glimpse at the UNDFTD x Puma x Gumball 3000 collab. From the looks of it, we’re dealing with a suede lowtop like the Clyde, again, despite the fact that Puma has a noteworthy line of racing shoes. In any case, Undefeated collaborations always satisfy, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Ever since the two OG colorways dropped last summer, the Nike Air Max 1 has been among the most popular Swoosh retros, both in the streets and in terms of numbers of palettes. Some of the best have been WMNS, leaving dudes with bigger feet frustrated, but this pair is somewhat similar to a white/grey/yellow pair for men we showed you back in February. The colorblocking pattern on these ladies’ joints is totally different, but that trio of colors is equally impressive. Suede and mesh is a must for summer and you can grab a pair of these today from Kix-Files.

Japanese electronic artists HIFANA made a big impact here in the states with their revolutionary Nike Music Shoe web-mercial. Bending and stepping in the Nike Free Run+ allowed the duo to mix their ‘The Big Beat’-like break into something entirely new and entertaining, but you’ve gotta wonder how they did it. It’s not like Nike Free Run+es, as comfy as they are, come out the box ‘in tune’, so a video after the jump that explains how they were able to integrate sole-borne sensors with Ableton Live to create the mix, is one of the more fascinating clips we’ve had for you here on Sneaker News. Click the link below to watch the making of ‘Nike Music Shoe’.

So you can change the Varsity Red Air Jordan VIs into Infrared with a simple $3 marker, but Spiz’ikes might not be so simple. This Air Jordan Spiz’ike features the famous hot red/pink shade on the midsole just like the AJVIs, but it’d be considerably harder to get the Infrared lace lock, dubrae, and especially the sockliner. Custom considerations aside, this is one of the hottest Spiz’ikes yet, thanks to a largely translucent outsole and select new blue hits. These are scheduled to drop on May 8th, but if you happen to be in the NYC area, get yours now from West and if not, you can grab a pair early on eBay.

Though New Balance has had a history of progressive influences for colorway designs, some inspirations seem so simple yet have yet to be utilized. For the first time in the footwear brand’s history, NB will being creating a colorway in honor of a country. Here the classic 576 model is applied with the French tricolor of royal blue, white and red on premium suedes and leathers. Just in case someone not witty enough to mistakingly interprets the color blocking for a representation of US colors, a French flag is embroidered on the heel. It might have been better off if the shoe was left sans flag to abstractly tribute le French, but we guess NB wanted to really drive the concept home. This release will be available in limited quantities at New Balance’s pop-up shop in L’Imprimerie on May 1st. via Shoes-Up

Just two games went down yesterday night, but both carried plenty of importance. Milwaukee held their own first by winning both Game 3 and 4 at home but sent a clear message by taking Game 5 in Atlanta, while Carmelo led his Nuggets to a Home win, sending the series back to Utah for Game 6. In the team effort, Melo wore the original Jordan Melo M6 in a navy blue colorway, while J.R. Smith wore the Nike LeBron VII P.S. with powder blue laces (what’s next; KD2s?). Joe Johnson wore both the Air Jordan XII and Air Jordan Icons, while Bibby wore a pair of the Jordan CP3.III. Marvin Williams also brought back the Nike Hyperdunk which was a popular shoe last season. There’s still plenty to see from the two games that went down, so check out Part 4 of the 2010 Playoffs First Round Recap. via Yahoo!.

Summer in the city can be red-hot, but that doesn’t mean fashion considerations have to go out the window. Converse Japan simply took some trends with undeniable warm connotations and applied them to some of the classics for their May 2010 drop. In the image above, from top-right clockwise, you’ve got two pairs of gingham Jack Purcell lowtops, two pairs of monochromatic Chuck Taylor All Star Highs and those same colors ported over to lowtop Chucks. Throw in a One Star with even more All-American appeal than the most recent CTS Ox we showed you, and this pack is ready for school to let out. Take a look at more shots after the jump. via HS

At this junction, Carmelo Anthony could not care less about what kicks are on his feet. He’s focused on surviving the first round match-up against the Utah Jazz, and his 26-and-11 performance yesterday night was enough to keep the Nuggets alive for another day. Down 3-2 with Game 6 heading into Utah may not be very good for Melo’s future prospects, but for Austin Jermacans, the high-schooler behind the design of the Future Sole Melo M6, his future is looking at bright as day. What probably started off as a rough sketch in the back of a tattered notebook resulted in six Player Exclusive colorways of his Melo M6 design that Carmelo himself has been wearing throughout the Playoffs. Check out these great PEs and let us know which colorway is tops. The Future Sole Melo M6 is also set to drop in limited numbers in the coming months, so stick with Sneaker News for more info regarding all Jordan Brand releases.
