We’ve seen how Reebok honors its basketball heritage when they released the Pump20 capsule, but it didn’t revel into the beginning roots of the brand. For 2010, the brand will dig deep into its archives and ReeConsider some old models even before the Pump era. The anticipated Woven Label Collection reproduces vintage Reebok bball shoes, focusing on its origins in basketball culture. Models will include this BB6600, a profile that shouts old school and features minimal color blocking to authenticate its mirror imaging of the original releases. While some of the Woven Label has already released in Europe, we should be seeing these in the US very soon. via EUKicks

After explaining that Converse has big things in store for the Jack Purcell model in light of its 75th anniversary, here’s another interesting pair. Using inspiration from marina sails, the upper utilizes weaved nylon- similar to a number of facets of sailboat equipment- creating geometric shapes of white and navy. Meanwhile, various nautical flags are found on the transparent gum sole, and smaller versions on the insole, for a colorful addition. This unique JP Ox is now available at SNS.

‘Woven’ is a big word in Beaverton, as Nike has applied interlaced textile to everything from the NFW Air Max LeBron VIIs to a bunch of lifestyle sneakers. Somewhere in the middle is the new Nike WMNS Air Superfly Woven, a casual take on the Air Superfly running shoe. Here are two new pairs, each with a simple three color palette: one in yellow with white and mint accents, plus another that’s just a tad too pink to be ‘bred’. Expect both of these at Nike Sportswear retailers in the near future, as they just hit Japanese sneaker outfitter mita sneakers.

There is already high anticipation for the Iron Man Dunk High SB’s dropping during the holidays, but here’s a pair of AF1′s that will allure the youngins. This GS Air Force 1 Low sports a team red/metallic gold CW that also induces thoughts of everyone’s favorite armored hero, without being too gimmicky. While we haven’t seen these hit many storefronts (yet), you can cop these for your kids from footsoldiers on eBay.

We’ve gotten a glimpse of the Fall 2010 Dunk High roster, and now we move onto what’s in store for the Dunk Low. Similar in blocking patterns, we can expect to see a number of pairs with simple 2-tone patterns, while others go for a more novelty approach- varying from pointillism to metallic panels to flowers. It’s no wonder though, since most of these are for women and kids. However it’s good to see that Nike will experiment with mixing and matching various material applications. If you see any you like, don’t get too excited just yet; remember, these won’t be hitting stores for another couple of months. In the meantime, check out a better look at all these and more after the jump, and be sure to let us know which ones you’re feeling.

The biggest sneaker drop in May might very well be on its first day. This Saturday, May 1st, the 25th Anniversary Air Jordan XI is set to hit retail as the first (mostly) all-white Elevens since the Columbia retro in early 2001. Interestingly enough, that was right after the OG Space Jams hit in December 2000, so the sequence is a happy coincidence. Montreal tastemaker Marcus Troy got his Anniversary AJXIs a little early, so click the jump below to look at the photos he snapped and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Air Jordan release dates.

The Eric Koston Nike SB Dunk High we previewed last week may have seemed familiar, and that’s not just ‘cos it’s the second Thailand-inspired SB Dunk from their latest big signing. Think back to 2004 and you might remember that actually, these look one helluvalot like the ‘Lucky’ Dunk High Pro. In these new images, you can see that subtle tone differences aside, the Koston High has basically switched the overlay from metallic leather to suede, and vice versa for the underlay. Even with all these similarities, details like a gum rubber outsole, red Swoosh outline and a complete lack of green make a huge difference. Check out some more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike SB release dates. via N-SB

Since it was revealed last September, we’ve seen plenty of previews of the Nike Air Footscape Freemotion, and several have already hit retailers. Somehow, through all of that, we never got another good look at the initial pair we showed you those seven months prior, but this is about as welcome as a (half-) surprise could be. This pair of Footscape Freemotions comes with the two-toned design that both suits the Flywire-enhanced shoe and fashion in general, with this pair’s neon yellow and black palette among the most eye-catching we’ve seen. Expect these at your local Nike Sportswear retailer soon; mita sneakers just got theirs.

Being a ‘whiz kid’ typically denotes expert status, which is befitting each of the trio of collaborators responsible for the shoe pictured above. The whiz x mita sneakers x New Balance M576 is the latest in a long line of tri-collabs with NB and (either) mita sneakers (or atmos), and has one of the most unique looks we’ve seen all year. That’s primarily thanks to star-shaped perforation that reveal a red underlay, but the grey and brown upper is nothing to scoff at, given today’s trends. Get up with your overseas connects on these, as they’re likely to be exclusive to mita, and possibly a few other high-end sneaker retailers in Japan. via SM

With a scant few other pairs releasing this year, these new Nike Tennis Classic lowtops are sure to stand out from the pack. Then again, with their Air Max 95-inspired styling, these would be unique even compared to the entire history of the Tennis Classic. We showed you the Neon pair earlier in the month and are pleased to find another AM95-like pair that resembles the ‘Grape’ 95s we previewed last week. Both pairs just hit select European retailers, while the Neons are available here in the states at FinishLine.

These CTS Mids were part of the CONS April releases we previewed not too long ago. A mid cut for a Chuck Taylor was such a foreign concept up until a year ago, but it has received much praise for its modern adaption. This particular pair features a perforated grey suede with a touch of red found on the tongue and midsole trim. These should have already hit your local shops, and if not, expect to see quite soon. via Kasina

Pau Gasol and the LA Lakers better get their act together, lest they become the 1994 Seattle Supersonics all over again. This 1-8 upset would be even greater, given the Lakers’ defending champ status, so it’s a good thing the elder Gasol has his shoe game in order thanks to Nike Basketball. They’ve given big Pau two Nike Air Max Hyperize PEs for a total of four from the Hyperize family that we’ve seen this post season. The away pair in this duo features quite a bit more purple than the previous Air Max-less joints, whereas the home whites have been simplified about as much as possible. Check out pictures of both pairs after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the latest in NBA Player Exclusive sneakers.
