Gallant efforts by both the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns were not enough, as the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics emerged atop the heap and will face each other in the NBA Finals for the second time in three years and further lengthen a half-century long rivalry. All was well in Boston; ‘Sheed shed the Sharkalaid and went back to his Air Force 1 High and even Nate Robinson and his Air Max2 CB ‘94 got some burn as well. Out West, Kobe and his injured finger – some compare it to Curt Schilling’s bloody sock – dawned (or “dusked”, rather) on the Suns and led his Laker team to a third straight NBA Finals appearance.
