Jordan Classic Low Black Red + White Cement

The recently released Jordan 1 Fund and upcoming Air Jordan RPM are both low-cut street-shoe designs that are ideal for those who wish to stay loyal to the brand but might be beyond the ‘Retro’ stage. The Jordan Classic Low released last month but slipped under the radar since that time, which is understandable considering the amount of attention geared towards the Air Jordan Retros and development of the Infrared Pack. The Classic Low shares a few design elements from the Fund and RPM – low-mid cut, stitched midsole, visible Air, borderline skate-shoe design – with the white pair featuring micro perforations and a speckled midsole and the black pair featuring patent leather on the mudguard and nubuck on the upper. Check out the images after the jump and head over to Finishline if you’re interested in a pair.

Nike Air Max Hyperize PE Zach Randolph

The “Player Exclusive” used to be one of the hardest pairs to get your hands on, but Nike’s recent inundation of PEs for NBA players who have been inactive since the end of April have Nike Basketball fans either applauding these releases scratching their heads. If you are a hardcore Zach Randolph fan, check out this Nike Air Max Hyperize PE made for Z-Bo. We showed you an Air Max Rise PE not long ago so these Hyperizes should thoroughly round out the ultimate Zach Randolph collection. Continue reading for more images. via Nike Basketball.

Nike Air Max Wavy Metallic Silver Black July 2010

The two names we typically think of when discussing the Nike Air Max Wavy are Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway and Kevin Garnett.  That’s cos the satiny Foamposite finish was a big part of Penny’s signature Nikes, and not only did KG rock the Flightposite II, but his Air (Garnett) III was the clear inspiration for the swooping side panels, as also seen on last year’s Fun Police mashup.  But then again, just look at this new pair of Air Max Wavys and try not to think of Tim Duncan’s Nike Total Foamposite Max from 1998-99.  It’s pretty much impossible, because that silver and black colorup is better known as the ‘Duncans’ than the shoe’s official name.  Irrespective of who this new model ‘belongs’ to, this is one of the hottest Wavys yet. These are expected to ship in July, but are available now for pre-order from footwear_depot on eBay.

Air Jordan IX (9) Retro White Black University Blue | Available on eBay

In what’s been shaping up to be a heavyweight between you and your wallet, next Saturday’s release of the Air Jordan IX Powder Blue might be the knock-out punch. 2010 might have been the strongest year since 2007 for Jordan Brand in terms of Retros, and the the Powder IXs are at the forefront of that argument. These are truly a ‘Retro’, as this memorable colorway of the first Air Jordan shoe released during Michael Jordan’s first retirement.

However, the Retro and Original are not exact carbon copies; the 23 logo on the heel was absent on the OG, the Jumpman on the bottom sole was Powder Blue, not black, and the color on the midsole is University Blue rather than the original Dark Powder Blue. The Jordan Brand complaint department shouldn’t hear much clamor about these changes because despite these minor discrepancies, the “Powder” Blue Air Jordan IX is sure-fire neck-breaker. Can’t wait til next Saturday? Pick up a pair right now on eBay.

Classics Revisited: Nike Air Force High (1993)

With all the years of rabid love and dedication that so many have shown to the legendary Nike Basketball arsenal, there aren’t too many forgotten classics still lost in obscurity, especially from the highly fruitful and well-documented early 90′s era. That said, there are still a few gems floating around out there that most sneakerheads have either forgotten about, or in the case of some of our younger readers, probably never even knew they existed. Despite the very unfortunate and generic model name, the Nike Air Force High is right at the top of the list of super-dope Nike Basketball designs that have fallen by the wayside. The shoe was released in the spring of 1993 and first got people’s attention on the feet of sharpshooter Dan Majerle as he and the Phoenix Suns unsuccessfully attempted to stop the Bulls’ first threepeat campaign in that year’s NBA Finals.

Nike SB Dunk High Black Solar Orange | June 2010

This new Nike SB Dunk High in a black/orange colorway is very much like the Halloween-inspired Nike SBs from the past; featuring a black upper with a orange toe guard, bottom sole, and tongue label, the colorway is All Hallow’s Eve to a tee, but instead is set for June 2010 release. A closer look reveals perforations on the toe, center, and ankle panel with suede on the overlaying toe, swoosh, and heel. Might be a bit early for Halloween, but the colors match the San Francisco Giants unis quite well, much like Brian Anderson’s hand-picked colorway of his Nike SB Blazer Custom Series. These are available early at Flatspot.

Nike Blazer AC High LE Unreleased Sample Seaweed Volt

Here’s an unreleased sample of a Nike Blazer AC High that we can see people either loving or hating.  A unique take never seen on Blazer AC’s before, a waxed leather upper with perforations.  What could make that concept better?  The fact that the upper is an eggplant-like colorway, with the perfs revealing a bright volt underlay.  The volt midsole might be a bit too much, becoming the fence between deciding a yay or nay for this design.  Regardless, we’ll most likely never see these release.  Of course, there’s always this particular sz 9 sample which you can find on eBay from solerevival777 on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Low CS Koston @ Flatspot

The Nike SB Custom Series features handpicked colorways and altered designs of Nike SB models chosen by the Nike SB Team riders. Eric Koston’s Nike SB Dunk Low CS features a special Thailand-inspired colorway with a golden touch provided by the regal swoosh and classic gum sole. Looks like your every-day SB Dunk Low but the heel features a custom grip padding and and the gum outsole consists of a new compound for extra response. A lack of a fat tongue might not sit well with Nike SB fans, but a great colorway on a suede upper and gum sole would’ve been an instant sell-out just a few years ago. Check out these new images and pick up yor pair from Flatspot.

Supra Avenger White Summer 2010

Most people are focusing on the fact that Erik Ellington’s new sig shoe is biting off the classic profile of the Jordan VI.  Throw a fit or now, its not really a bite than it is a tribute.  After all, before Nike SB existed plenty of kids were riding in Jays.  It just shows the brand’s smart conceptual developments and ability to read into consumers’ appeal.  Regardless, Supra put enough thought and design into the Avenger for it to be a shoe of its own.  You may have caught a quick glimpse of these during the Summer preview, but now we get a closer look.  In white leather with small light grey accents, its takes its own look further away from the IV’s than the bred colorway.  No word on a release dates, but expect them to come soon.

NIKE78 Project Artist Videos

NIKE78 is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between innovative footwear function and artistic inspiration; it began in early March and has started to wrap up, as we now have a look at three great finished products by Container PLUS, Birch, and Andy McGregor, three of the seventy-eight chosen for the project. Each participant was given a classic Air Max model, and was asked challenge the function of the shoe; you’ll see a pair of the Air Maxes transformed into a budding nest, a galvanized Air Max 93 that McGregor calls “GalvaNikes”, and the Air Max 97 dissolved into dust. If you thought there was only so much to be done with a shoe, NIKE78 and the group of out-of-the-box thinking artists changed that. Continue reading for videos of the three shoes. via inqmnd.
