It’s almost Memorial Day, which means summer is right around the corner, so you’ve gotta get some fresh new looks for beach parties, picnics and all the rest of the warm weather fun. Nike has you covered with a few different looks from the Sportswear division and the one pictured above from their action sports sub-label. The Nike 6.0 Mavrk Low looks pretty slick in a white/grey/mean green colorway that’s similar to one of the recent P-Rod III drops, plus the $60 pricetag is pretty well unbeatable. Next up is a new all-white Pepper Low with a textured leather that’s somewhat epi-like, but with a woven texture. This set is rounded out by the venerable Nike Dunk, appearing in black/grey/green with the Zoom Air cushioning common to all Premium Dunks, plus both a High and Low in the canvas & gingham combo that we’ve seen several times. It’s quite the variety for the upcoming dog days, and you can cop any or all of these today from NY’s Extra Butter.

The Nike Dunk is a marvel of versatility. Thanks to releases from both Nike Sportswear and Nike SB, it’s the single most frequently seen model here on Sneaker News and new colorways like the one pictured above prove that there’s no stopping this classic basketball silhouette from attaining thousands more releases. This new Nike Dunk High has you set for the fall fashion season with grey suede atop tonal leather to give a subtle base for orange hits to blossom. They’re a nice ode to turning leaves, while the ankle adds an interesting geometrical pattern to give this pair a unique look and opens the possibility to a ‘pack’ of sorts. These should hit NSW retailers in early July and you can pre-order yours today from footwear_depot on eBay.

As the seasons change, so do our outdoor activities; summer-time is all about pick-up games at the local court or a lazy softball game on a Sunday afternoon. Come Autumn, it’s time to change from basketball shorts and cleats to cargo pants and hikers, so check out this new Nike ACG model ready for the changing of the leaves. We previewed the Nike ACG Takao Low not long ago but a Mid version will release alongside it – both constructed of synthetic leather and mesh on the uppers, phylon midsoles, and rubber outsoles. Two colorways will release for both the Low and Mid cut – one colorway in a fitting outdoors scheme and the other in brighter tones. Check out this Nike ACG product after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info; these are set to release in Japan in June/July so we’ll keep you updated on a U.S. release. via shoe-planet.

It’s hard to imagine a better colorway for summer shoes than white and gum. An all time classic, it only seems right to put this duo on a design that’s infamous for its ‘coke whites’, the Nike Air Force 1. This new AF1 High is both classically styled and a standout, with red embroidery on the tongue tags and heel tabs that set these apart from the rest of the white kicks crowd. These are part of Nike Sportswear’s Fall 2010 collection and with an expected drop date in early July, you can pre-order them today from footwear_depot on eBay.

Supra has been using their ultra-durable TUF material for a couple years now on a number of different silhouettes, and it’s somewhat surprising that nobody has followed them. The days of special skateboard shoe materials dates back to the Airwalk 600°F (or perhaps duct taped Air Jordan 1s), so don’t mistake the new Vans Tech Tuff Pack as a mere imitation. Then again, the 3M-like finish on this trio looks quite a lot like TUF, so we’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions. This pack contains three black/asphalt pairs, each with a bright color to accent the laces: Versa lowtops with green, Rowley 99s with yellow and the TNT II Mid Cup with blue. Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on a release later this year. via FNG

It’s no secret that Michael Jordan loves speed, but the Air Jordan RPM is still something of a mystery. You’d think from its name that this would be Jordan Brand’s latest lifestyle sneaker, a driving shoe-inspired look that inevitably has its fair share of Jumpman insignias. To the contrary, this shoe more strongly resembles the Jordan 1 Fund than your favorite pair of Tod’s, so the best descriptor might be “athletic-inspired lifestyle sneaker“. The pair pictured above goes with a simple Chicago ‘home’ colorup, adding a little pop thanks to patent leather tongues. Take a look at these new Jordan RPMs after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release. via Kinstor

Summer-time has pretty much arrived, and this past week’s news in the world of kicks definitely turned up the temperature. Kicking off the heat-filled week was a first look at the packaging of the Air Jordan VI Infrared Pack as well as confirmation of a U.S. Release. The Nike Air Force 1 Low made a sudden surge this week, as we got a look at some upcoming colorways of the classic shoe, and equally impressive was Nike SB’s June footwear line. The NBA Playoffs continued as Kobe, KG, Dwight Howard, and Steve Nash did their best to claim their stake in the NBA Finals sweepstakes while representing Nike and adidas proudly, and continuing the basketball-theme, we got a generous look at upcoming summer-time Nike Basketball options. On the running side, another classic colorway of the Air Max 24/7 was also released and we got a look at Nike’s latest Air Max hybrid, the Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI.
The last seven days was also filled with special features, events, and celebrities. Wale, Drake, and a handful of other stars showed off their sneakerheadism, while the Nike Athletic Training Event in Northern California had us thinking about Football and gridiron sweat. Niketalk teamed up with five talented customizers to auction off their designs, with all proceeds going to assist the Haiti relief effort; the honorable partnership displayed the sneakerhead community’s generosity and unique methods of garnering donations. To cap off the week, you should start gathering your kicks and prepare some selling slogans because the Sneaker Con of 2010 is going to launch tomorrow in NYC. Get it the know and don’t miss a beat – Sneaker News has you covered.

This year’s Cleveland’s Got Sole event was highlighted by some massive and very thorough LeBron James sneaker collections, not the least of which was this special makeup of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. Pictured above is the King James Shooting Stars Classic PE that goes with the same palette from last year’s Zoom LeBron VI PE, albeit with a totally different result thanks to radically different colorblocking. Last year’s joints were mostly red, whereas these take a calmer approach and add bright red accents to a black/white design. It’s unlikely these will release to retail (last year’s didn’t), so check out a bunch of photos and video after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via NLB

The last Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII we showed you caused quite a stir; then again, all Air Jordan Force Fusions seem to bring out the best (or worst) of our readers, but the new design and wacky colorway was enough to incite a ton of reader response. Releasing tomorrow alongside the Air Jordan II QF is the ‘Playoff’ colorway of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII that features the original design of the AJF VIII and the classic colorway chronicled in Jordan folklore. These will be available at Jordan retailers but are also available from steptorun on eBay.

R. Kelly’s “I believe I can fly…” is synonymous with the reality-meets-cartoon Space Jam movie that starred Michael Jordan alongside the Air Jordan XI Space Jam, but it was the Air Jordan II that showed us that Michael Jordan was capable of inhuman aerial manuevers. MJ’s first Slam Dunk victory came when he wore this great colorway of the classic II, and they can now be yours as they officially release at Jordan retailers tomorrow, May 22nd (we expect our NYC readers to wear these at Sneaker Con tomorrow). Some spots dropped these Retros a bit early but if you still need to pick up a pair, head over to kicks-crew or grab them from eBay.
