Reebok x Emporio Armani Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

As a platform of all that is footwear, we see a collaborations come and go. Some help evolve the industry, while most are simply gratuitous in hopes to cause some buzz. However, Reebok has teamed up with Emporio Armani for a collection that not only exemplifies a true concept behind a collaborative project, but also redefines the concept of lifestyle footwear. Hybrids sound like an old concept for our viewers; Jordans and Nikes fusions are derivative of athletic footwear to become a new look of another athletic shoe. But never have we seen cross-breeds like this.

The super luxury and high fashion aesthetic of Emporio Armani is applied with some of Reebok’s most signature technologies. Classic Italian laced shoes become equipped with DMX technology in the heel for extra support to create the Mega Chic. While the Pump Mega calls upon a traditional gusseted slip-on, featuring DMX heel units but also integrating Pump technology for extra customized fitting for the upper. The Pump Vintage and Vintage Runner provide for more casual sneakers, embossing a giant Emporio Armani logo on the medial panel of these casual tennis shoes. Staying conservative in colorway, the tonal white, cream and black provide for that authentic dress look rather than becoming too novelty or low-brow. A remarkable project this collection stands for that which is both modern and timeless in fashion ideology. Be on the lookout in a few months when these drop for the Fall and Winter seasons. via Freshness

Hannah Stouffer x Vans Wellesey Obsessive Combustion

Vans uses the illustrative skills of Hannah Stouffer for a new Vans Wellesey.  Dubbed Obsessive Conbustion, the campaign came forth from Stouffer’s video production to interpret the human struggle of change and desire as seen in her piece, ‘Black Roses Tell a Story.’  While styling is very signature of Hannah’s work, we wouldn’t be surprised if people associate the imagery with these specific colors for a Pushead project.  The confusion is qucikly clarified once you come across the specially designed box, also featuring the chaotic illustrative design, but also shoes Hannah’s branding on the top of the box.  Already released, these are available at select Vans retailers as well as on the Vans web shop.

Nike Huarache 2010 Shawn Marion Home PE

In mid April, the Dallas Mavericks were looking like the class of the NBA’s Western Conference, thanks to a strong finish to their regular season and an apparently hobbled Los Angeles team.  Then the Spurs came through and did what they usually do in the playoffs, which is essentially anger everyone outside of San Antonio, this time knocking out their in-state rivals in a six game quasi-upset.  During the series, we got a look at two distinct Shawn Marion PEs from Nike Basketball, but neither his Air Max Turnaround nor Air Max Hyperfly could make a meaningful difference.  Turns out, ‘The Matrix’ was also rocking the Nike Huarache 2010 in his post-Jordan Brand career.  Take a look at this Huarache 2010 home PE and stick with Sneaker News for the latest NBA player exclusive sneakers.

Nike Air Max A Lot USA Olympic Edition

Scottie Pippen was one of the four OG Dream Team members that kept the medal here in the states during 1996′s Atlanta Summer Games.  He and teammate Reggie Miller had seemingly every male ages 11-15 here in the states wanting the Nike Air More Uptempo, but many of us were saddled with the single-Air-bubbled Air Much Uptempos.  This time, there’s a single Max Air option, but it’s been integrated into the formerly Zoom-equipped Pippen II bottom to form the Nike Air Max a Lot.  These joints are true to the Dream Team’s golden tradition, rocking a white base with accents from Nike’s USAB colorway.  A nice token of the last decade and a half of world-class basketball, these should hit retailers soon and can already be copped from ID4shoes on eBay.

Air Jordan VIII (8) Chris Paul PE Hornets Away

Since his start as an official Jordan Brand employee, Chris Paul was fortunate enough to have three of his own signature shoes released, the most recent being the Air Jordan CP3.III. During that span, CP3 was also the recipient of some sick Player Exclusives of Air JordanS; Last year Sneaker News gave you a look at the Air Jordan II and Air Jordan V Chris Paul PE. Check out this deadstock pair of the Air Jordan VIII with a colorway also made for the Hornets point guard; an all black nubuck upper is matched with the Hornets teal blue and marigold trim on the midsole and branding. These were made for Chris Paul during the 2008-09 season but he chose to keep them on ice. If you’re a hardcore PE collector, test your auction skills by bidding on this pair from ifloyd8 on eBay.

Nike Air Trainer III Team Red + Pale Blue Air Attack Pack | Available

The Nike Air Attack began its maneuver at the running department and later hit the basketball and training corners of the Nike labs. The original silhouette from the Nike Air Trainer SC line (later named the Air Trainer III) was also selected to be part of the Nike Air Attack Pack, and these two available colorways follow a similar uni-colored construction as the other Air Attack releases. Both of these Nike Air Trainer III Air Attack colorways are completely blotted by one color; Team Red like in the Nike Air Maxim 1 and Air Max 1 Air Attack, and a Pale Blue featured in a colorway of the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo. Check out these new images after the jump and pick up either pair now on Eastbay.

New Air Jordan II (2) T Shirt + More From Vandal A

So far in 2010, Jordan Brand has brought us a non-stop flow of Retro releases and Vandal-A has been right there, putting in some serious overtime to keep up. We’ve recently seen fresh new Vandal-A shirts to coincide with some high profile JB releases like the AJKO’s and Oreo VI’s, and with the OG colorway of the Air Jordan II set to hit stores this weekend, it’s only fitting that the classic shoe gets its very own matching tee as well. Inspired by MJ’s Air Jordan II-propelled 1987 Slam Dunk Contest victory, the new shirt sports a black and white image of Michael soaring through the air with the background cleverly cut away to create the shape of the number 2.

In addition to the Air Jordan II shirt, Vandal-A has also just released their own take on the iconic N.W.A. logo, substituting the letter “N” with the one from the Nike font and a backwards “NIKE4LIFE” graphic below it. Also available is a metallic foil printed Copper edition of the Foamposite beetle design that we have previously seen for the Eggplants, so if you still haven’t found the right match for your Coppers, look no further. Keep reading to check out the tees and if you like what you see, all three are available at Vandal-A, with the Jordan 2 shirt also in stock at Packer Shoes.

Nike Huarache 2010 LaMarcus Aldridge Home PE

LaMarcus Aldridge was chosen second in the 2006 NBA Draft by Chicago, only to be traded to Portland that same day.  There’s bound to be some Sam Bowie ghosting in there somewhere, but both the Bulls and Blazers were eliminated in the first round of this year’s NBA Playoffs.  We showed you a couple pairs of Aldridge’s Nike Huarache 2010 PEs early in their series with Phoenix, but neither of those colorways proved to have the winning touch.  Then again, when you look at those and this new Huarache 2010 PE, it’s clear LaMarcus’ shoes weren’t to blame.  The Huarache 2K10 looks dope as always in the (ahem) Chicago-style home colorway, and shows how versatile the colorblocking options truly are on this seemingly simple sneaker.  Check out some more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the latest NBA Player Exclusives from Nike Basketball.
