If we were playing sports word association with ‘Spike Lee‘, chances are, you’d reply, ‘Basketball’, or maybe even ‘MSG’. Turns out the famed New York auteur is a bit of a soccer fan as well. His son Jason is lucky enough to play in a league with personalized Arsenal jerseys, and Spike took the time to film a practice for a short, appropriately titled ‘Everything is Practice’. The latest Nike Stadium short is (unfortunately) totally bereft of Allen Iverson jokes, but you can see the full length film after the jump.

That the above is the third in a series of Nike Air Force 1 Lows that are each all white and black in 2010 that look nothing alike, is clear evidence of the power of colorblocking. This particular pair of Uptowns is probably most similar to the Vandal-inspired pair we showed you yesterday, but take a look at both of them (open a new tab in your web browser and flip back and forth), and you’ll see how remarkably different the two pairs are, thanks to a few choice black stripes. The release date on these AF1s remains to be seen, so stick with Sneaker News for updates and check out a bunch of detailed photos after the jump. via Kinstor

With Yao Ming seemingly perpetually injured and Allen Iverson never again attending practice, Reebok Basketball’s star is this new sneaker. The Reebok Zig Slash is sure to turn heads when they drop in the Holiday 2010 season, and this black and yellow pair is surely not the least of those eye-catchers. These sample images give you a good sense of what to expect from the basketball Zigs, but note that a rubberized traction pattern similar to the horseshoe on this pair’s forefoot, will also appear on the heel of the released version. Check out some more photos after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates in advance of the December 2010 release at retailers like Foot Locker.

On April 1st, Nike released a video called ‘The Secret Behind Nike Air’, but it was far from your typical April Fools Day fare. The David Koechner video was bound to be whimsical, but instead of a prank, it offered a look at ‘how’ Nike Air is captured. The very first shot in that video shows Nike SB rider Paul Rodriguez nosesliding on a wooden handrail, and it turns out P-Rod was far from done that day. In this new video, you’ll see how P-Rod carves up some curious terrain, all whilst rocking a Ghostbusters-like backpack to capture ‘his’ Nike Air. Check out the entire video after the jump.

The weather has been up and down lately, playing with our emotions and yearn for solid Summer weather. And with that we’ll start seeing more and more shoes on the lighter and whiter side. Although the redundant white on white AF1 somehow still holds it down as one of the biggest selling shoes each season, some of you want some variety. This Flytop provides such desire with a white leather upper accompanied with white/white gold woven paneling. It may not appear so in these photos, but the gold underlay in the weave presents a bit of a metallic shimmer for some extra pop. Plus the fact that the design is found upon the ever-growing popular Flytop model. No word on a release but stay tuned. via Dunk

The Supra Skytop was all at once iconoclastic and old school with its super-hightop silhouette and rockstar look, and here’s one that’s totally skewed toward the classic vibe. The Supra Skytop ‘Wino’ doesn’t have as obvious a nickname as the ‘Cinco de Drinko’ joints that celebrated May 5th, but the black canvas uppers look spectacular atop a textured gum rubber sole. Immediately among the very best Supras ever released, the ‘Wino’ Skytops are available nationwide at select Supra retailers.

With the upcoming Jordan Rare Air hybrids on the way, here’s a Jordan Brand mashup that’s slipped under the radar. Fittingly dubbed ‘Stealth’, this sneaky new pair of Air Jordan Spiz’ikes draws on perhaps the single most well known colorway of the Air Jordan XX to create a look that’s all at once darker than death, yet eye-catching. That’s all thanks to a patent leather upper that incorporates the AJXX’s signature laser etching into the toe and heel panels that typically see Elephant print on the Spiz’ike. Throw in the ‘Yes, Mars’ sockliner and these span a good 20 years of Air Jordan greatness. These will hit stateside retailers on June 5th and you can grab a pair a couple of weeks early from Kix-Files.

In case you can’t read, the soles on the above pictured shoes read ‘fragment design’ and ‘UNDERCOVER/JUN TAKAHASHI’. Then again if you can’t read . . . but we digress. Pictured above is among the more obvious collaborations thanks to the triple branding, the latest Nike Match Classic HFs designed by fragment design in conjunction with UNDERCOVER. Obvious text aside, these are right up there with the recent fragment All Court Lows, in that the set of five each rocks a vibrant, monochromatic suede upper. No word yet on a stateside drop, but they are available now from Parisian sneaker specialists colette.

The upcoming Air Jordan 2010 pictured above is just like Dwyane Wade’s home court right now: blacked out. The AJ2010 ‘Blackout’ is as dark as an empty American Airlines Arena, but if you look carefully, you’ll more little hints of color than some of the ‘Triple Black’ pairs we’ve seen in recent years. A black and dark charcoal upper makes for a nice tonal darkness, but if you flip the shoe, you’ll find an ever so slightly blue icey outsole that reveals a red bottom-loaded Zoom Air unit. Whether we’ll see D-Wade rock these in Miami, Chicago or anywhere else remains to be seen, but you can grab your pair today from Kix-Files.

A couple of nice pairs coming out of New Balance. Take these 574′s, for example. Coming in favorable colorways and materials- suede, leather, mesh- each pair features reflective material on either the medial panel seen with a subtle alligator pattern, or on the branded N and heel tab. A part of the Spring/Summer line, expect these to either be already out or coming in the upcoming weeks. via SuedeandMesh

Two years in the making, Livestock proudly presents its collaborative pack with Ferrari and Puma. First initiated when Puma sent some of the Livestock crew to the Monetral Grand Prix a few years ago, their fascination for the Ferrari Support Challenge grew, along their appreciation for Puma’s involvement in the branding and design of the stock cars. Fir this collection, the Puma Mid was the model of choice. Ferrari colors became the obvious foundation for the design; red, yellow and black for suede uppers. Getting gown to the details, tire rubber is used for the midsole trim, perforated pig skin for the lining, and leather insole which features a screenprinted track with turns related to Livestock, Puma, Ferrari and F1. A common ground for collaborative shoes, a special Livestock hang tag accompanies each pair. To tie in the racing theme, the Ferrari logo is found on the back heel tab, while a perforated 27 is found on the tongues to honor F1 driving legend and fellow Canadian, Gilles Villeneuve.
Of course with all Puma List shoes, an additional pair is created exclusively for the collaborative store. The Livestock-only pair is inspired by the Honda S2000, sponsored by Puma and Livestock, which has won the Improved Product2 championship for the past two years. Thus, the special edition Puma Mid is utilizes the same facets as the other pairs except features premium leather in white. Additionally, the Ferrari logo is replaced by #46, the car’s race number. To round up the design, all pairs including the suede ones, will feature a luxury Puma x Ferrari helmet bag to become a makeshift storage for the shoes. The entire collection is already out and is sure to become a nice little collectors piece. Check out the video below for further info.
