If nomenclature of chemical compounds was your thing in high-school, then you won’t have a hard time remembering the name of this hybrid runner; the Nike Lunar Presto Rejuven8 features – you guessed it – a Rejuven8 upper and LunarLite midsole captured by the classic Nike Presto silhouette. We showed you a sample of these not long ago but this latest colorway of red/yellow/black would go well if you’re cheering on the German National Team in the upcoming 2010 World Cup Tournament. These just dropped over at Finishline but continue reading to save some cash on this or any other Finishline purchase.

You know that Infrared Pack everybody’s talking about? It’s made up of the OG Air Jordan VI’s, which will drop right after Varsity Red versions, so to make it a little more fun and confusing, Nike’s readying their own Infrared duo. Alongside the Nike Air Max 90 in its signature shade, we’ll see a new Air 180 this summer that borrows the immortal Infrared palette. And the black/white/Infrared looks particularly dope on this 180, as the designers were able to keep the bright red hits *just* where an Air 180 would really want them, which results in a colorway that we can’t believe we haven’t seen yet. A welcome addition to the summer lineup, these joints will hit Nike Sportswear retailers like Hanon soon, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Three of the four 2010 NBA Playoff Conference Semi-Final match-ups have wrapped up already, and with Boston’s schlacking of the Cavaliers on the Cavs Home court just moved us a step closer to the Conference Finals. Does LeBron and crew have what it takes to take the final two? The magic 8-Ball says “Outlook not so good”, and it appears as if LeBron feels less and less at home when playing in Cleveland based on the two Home losses to the Celtics (and they weren’t close either). The Playoffs are still moving forward so in the meantime, let’s take a look back at the kicks worn during the last few games; the Nike Zoom Kobe V POP, LeBron VII P.S., and Air Jordan Icons returns, while Rajon Rondo shows off another Nike Hyperfuse PE and Mo Williams again wears the Nike Air Max Hyperize NFW Highlighter Pack. It’s no surprise that the baseball cleat-ish Nike Air Griffey Max GD II hasn’t caught fire like the first Griffey Retro. But don’t be like Griffey by sleeping on these, because this next colorway might provide the jolt in cool-factor the Griffey Max II might’ve been waiting for. Check out the next Nike Air Griffey Max GD II set to release, colored up in cool grey and black. Slap some teal laces on these and you’ll have a great match for a Mariners Away jersey. You can expect these to hit Nike retailers in the month of May (oh wait, that’s now!) so continue reading for a better look.

Visions of Jesse Owens and Tommie Smith are all you need to prove that the US has been sending track and field athletes to the Olympics as long as the modern games have existed, but USATF is celebrating 30 years since their official 1979 organization. What better way to commemorate the occasion than a limited edition Nike runner? Here’s the new Nike Lunar Fly+ USATF Edition, the first item in USATF’s upcoming 1979 Collection. These new Lunar Fly+es go with the familiar red, white and blue palette, but whereas most Nike Olympic colorways go with navy blue, these joints are quite bright, almost like the Arctic Blast shade that appears on a recently previewed Air Max Wavy. Even though the next summer games are over two years off, these are sure to be a hot seller, so stick with Sneaker News for updates. via Katie Landry

Many of these major companies and brands tend to lose sight of the negative effects of its growing factories on the environment. One of the only footwear brands to keep its manufacturing on the home front, New Balance works to reduce its carbon footprint for the sake of clean US air. A perfect example of its endeavors is Sonic fabrication. Using super-high pulse stitching, the materials are fused at a molecular level for almost seamless, airtight and watertight construction. Thus, less material and glue is needed and therefore becomes a rather eco-friendly design.
One would read this and think, big deal, but the results provide satisfying aesthetics. The Sonic method is seen here on these 574′s, making it look like a one-piece with super soft felt-like uppers. Having a simple color blocking really highlights the extraordinarily unique material application. Both the grey and black 575 Sonic is now available at select retailers like Cnvyr.

Having previewed the Bedford and Alomar models last week, let’s look at two more designs from the upcoming Vans OTW Collection. Pictured above are the new Tustin and Frazier lowtops, both of which offer their own take on familiar designs. The Vans Tustin is similar to the Ol Skool lowtop, but offers an updated look and comfy cup sole. The Frazier, on the other hand, still opts for a vulcanized rubber sole, albeit enhanced by a spike pattern on the foxing band. The Frazier also reminds us of the Supra Skytop/Skylow family, thanks to its ribbed side panel underlay. Check out a range of colorways from both designs and get ready to cop these when they hit your local Vans retailer on June 1st, 2010. via HS

The Nike RT1 emerged last year as something of a ‘poor man’s Air Yeezy’, but a solid run of releases has put that tag to rest. Now when you see the RT1, you’re likely thinking, “Damn, that’s a hot colorway!” That’s cos Nike Sportswear’s premier lifestyle hightop has released in palettes that rank amongst the most satisfying Swoosh drops over the past few months, arguably culminating in this stellar blue pair. Constructed entirely in Nike’s new Marina Blue shade, these joints achieve a tonal look thanks to a number of materials on the upper. Proper got these a little while ago, but if you weren’t able to secure a pair, act fast to get yours from JBseller on eBay.

SNEAKERNEWS.COM EXCLUSIVE
When you remove the Air Jordan XVI’s magnetic shroud, you’re greeted by side panels with three triangular sections of heavy duty mesh. Outside the context of English comp., that’s probably the only valid comparison between the Air Jordan Legacy models and this new design, the reverse-named Jordan AIRS. It’s almost as if the shroud were swapped for an ankle strap, then the entire sole was replaced on the AJ16s, yet these have an identity all their own. This pair pictured above comes in the familiar bred colorway with a nice icey outsole, but click the jump below to see more images as proof that the Jordan AIRS ranks as one of the more interesting and unique basketball releases from Jordan Brand in quite a while. They’ll be out sometime in the next three to four months, so stick with Sneaker News for updates and more exclusive first looks.
