Future Sole Jordan Melo M6 Interview with Dwyane Edwards

Austin Jermacans’ itinerary throughout the 2009 Future Sole Design Competition started with a sketch drawing and ended with Carmelo Anthony wearing his shoe in the NBA Playoffs. Needless to say, this short experience was a huge success for Jermacans hopes for the future. In this video produced by Sole Collector, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the arduous and rewarding journey Jermacans piloted himself through, from working directly with Justin taylor – the creator of the original Melo M6 – and getting feedback from Carmelo himself. Check out the screencaps and video after the jump, and stick with Sneaker News for more release info of the Future Sole Melo M6. via Eastbay.

Nike Air Max A Lot O.J. Mayo Home + Away PEs

O.J. Mayo is regarded as one of the top combo-guards in the league; night in and night out, he’s capable of running the floor and dishing out 10 times or stealing the show and dropping 35. That sort of multi-tool play is reflective of Scottie Pippen’s entire career, which is why the Nike Air Max-A-Lot – a hybrid of Scottie Pippen’s sig shoes – is fitting for the rising star of the Grizzlies. Check out the Home and Away colorway of the Nike Air Max-A-Lot PE made for O.J. Mayo and you’ll see the sweet “OJ” logo on the heel. That makes three Memphis PEs thus far – Mayo, Rudy Gay, Z-Bo – and that just means the Grizzlies will be a tough team next season. Nike Air Trainer 1.2 Mid+ Upcoming Colorways

We’ve seen the Chlorophyll model a couple of times now, but what about other colorways of the upcoming Nike Air Trainer 1.2 Mid+?  Ask and ye shall receive, at least some new images of the Air Trainer 1.2 Mid+ in five new colorways.  Four of these are heavy on the white, with a variety of different accent colors spread around to give each a unique look.  The odd man out in this group is a black, purple and gold pair that’s likely inspired by dynamic Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson.  Check out shots of each pair after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.

Gourmet Diciotto Dark Rose + Steel | Available

Here’s the latest course from LA-based, Italian-influenced lifestyle sneaker brand, Gourmet.  This new pack of Gourmet Diciotto lows reminds us of a pack of il Tre lowtops they released last year in ballistic nylon.  As with last year, you get a pair in either steel or dark rose, each pair’s nylon sections appear slightly metallic, and both of them rock white soles.  The main difference between last year’s Tres and these new Diciottos is the latter’s silhouette allows for the integration of some suede on the toe, eyelets and heel, which cast a nice tonal effect.  Both pairs are available now at select Gourmet retailers like Boston’s Concepts.  via EUKicks

Nike Air Max+ 2010 – Finish Line Exclusives

Recently we showed you a scrapped version of the Nike Air Max 2010; a good portion of our readers seemed to be fond of the sample version over the production release, but it was simply too similar to the Nike Air Max 2009. The AM ’10 features the same fully-uncaged 360 Air Unit but perhaps a more sport-ready upper design. Finishline will have six exclusive colorways of the Nike Air Max 2010 for three months – meaning the ONLY place to get them is at Finishline. Some familiar colorways return – grey/volt, grey/orange, silver/blue – so check out the Finishline Exclusive Nike Air Max+ 2010 Collection after the jump and pick up your pair now. via CK.

Nike Air Max Hyperfly Caron Butler Home PE

Nothing went right for the Washington Wizards this season; the franchise player was suspended for the season, the locker room was in shambles, and the franchise was bleeding money. The solution? Ship out star players for draft picks and expiring contracts, which is why Caron Butler found himself in a much more pleasant situation in Dallas. Check out Caron Butler’s Nike Hyperfly PE; Flywire upper and a heel Air Max unit make for a “lite” version of the 360-Air Nike Air Max Hyperize. Air Jordan IX (9) Retro White University Blue | New Images

It’s like we’ve all got Nines on our mind; just yesterday Sneaker News gave you a high-res detailed look at the upcoming Air Jordan IX Citrus and also dropped more images of the OG colorway. Even last Sunday we gave you a sneak peek and first look at the ‘Un-Powder’ Air Jordan IX, which featured a “reverse” colorblocking of the famous Dark Powder Blue original colorway. A quick overview of the shoe reveals Patent Leather on the mudguard and nubuck on the upper. The heel of the shoe features a heart-shaped logo, and that could signify either a noble charity of some sort or perhaps the a Father’s Day Quickstrike release (just speculation). But like the Deep Forest Jordan IX we looked at roughly a month ago, the Reverse Powder Blue Air Jordan IX will be limited to just 2,000 pairs. Take a look at these new images and if you want to avoid the back-breaking search for these, buy them now from VMVinc.

Nike LeBron VII P.S. White Navy Red | Release Info

In one of the more ironic posts you’ll see on Sneaker News, here’s some updated release info on a new Nike LeBron VII P.S. colorway.  We’re relatively certain that Jason Petrie designed these to be light enough for LeBron James and company to glide into the NBA Finals, but just as with last year’s MVPuppets campaign, things didn’t turn out as expected for the league’s best regular season team.  It remains unclear how this will effect LeBron’s free agency this summer, but this pair of LVII P.S. could very well turn out to be the last memento of seven years in Cleveland with its perfect match to the Cavs’ navy blue jerseys.  Take a look at more shots after the jump, then get ready to cop these from select Nike Basketball retailers including Foot Locker, tomorrow, Friday, May 28th.

Nike Air Penny 1/2 Cent Cranberry + Eggplant New Images

After a two-month-plus hiatus, the Nike Air 1/2 Cent Cranberry re-emerged in the form of a “quickstrike” submission in the WDYWT feature of Sneaker News Blogs. This time, we get another look at the Cranberry as well as the Nike Air 1/2 Cent Eggplant – both of which are set to release later this year. Like the Cranberry had red laces, the varsity purple aka ‘Eggplant’ features purple laces as well as a purple swoosh. Check out these new sneak peek images and let us know which colorway you’ll definitely cop (or perhaps you’ll buy both?). Stick with Sneaker News for more detailed images and release info. via SneakGeekZ.

Nike Air Max Hyped TB Black Varsity Red White

The Hyperdunk family has so completely permeated Nike Basketball that even their takedown models deserve some attention.  Pictured above is the new Nike Air Max Hyped TB, an apparent sequel to the Air Max Rise that could just as easily be the Air Max Hyperize’s little cousin.  We saw these earlier alongside the USAB colorway, plus one done in carbon fiber, but this bred pair is likely to be among the most common on courts come this winter, especially given its Team Bank designation.  Take a look at more of the latest Nike BB team shoe and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via Taobao

Air Jordan Flight SC 1 Black Red Grey

Having just seen a pair that incorporates Jordan Brand’s iconic elephant print, here’s a look at another Air Jordan Flight SC-1 in a classic style for Jays.  This colorway could be described as ‘bred+’, as there’s just enough grey on these joints to add a little lightness.  Grey hits aside, these remind one of the Air Jordan XI as the first basketball shoe to employ patent leather, not to mention the woven nylon sections that also appeared on the AJXI.  It’s an interesting look because the Flight SC-1 is firmly rooted in mid-late ’80s aesthetics.  Take a look at more shots after the jump and let us know if this is the best SC-1 yet.  via Kinstor

Nike Air Max A Lot Al Horford Home + Away PEs

Al Horford played a huge role in Atlanta’s success during the ’09-’10 season, and his performance directly led to the Hawks advancing to the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Although Horford and his Hawks have been out of the Playoffs for over a week, let’s take a look at some Player Exclusives made just for the former Florida Gator. Horford has worn a wide array of Nike Basketball kicks but check out the Home and Away colorway of the Nike Air Max-A-Lot in white, navy, and blue. The Home colorway is just a hint of gold color-blocking short of being identical to the Olympic Max-A-Lot colorway that dropped not long ago. More pics are after the jump. via Nike Basketball.
