If you still haven’t picked out a summer shoe, check out the Nike Navaro Low; we previewed a high-top version earlier this year but the low cut shows a tennis-inspired design, from the vulcanized midsole to the perforated swoosh. It’s almost like the Nike counterpart to the adidas Rod Laver, but the latter’s been around for considerably longer. If you’re looking to change up your tennis-shoe rotation, check out the Nike Navaro Low in black and white after the jump and pick up a pair from well-known NYC retailer Dr. Jays.

Summer heat calls for lighter materials, so its not wonder we start seeing every brand bumping canvas footwear. Here we see Alife releasing its staple Everybody in low-top version with a full Canvas upper. Simple colors like tonal white, black, green and maroon make for a good mature look ready for everyday rocking. We imagine they should be hitting Alife retailers soon, if not already, being that we see them overseas like Kasina.

Continuing the Air Jordan-inspired theme of the Spizike colorways is one taking notes from the Air Jordan XX ‘Stealth’. Black patent leather sitting on a red trim isn’t something new to Air Jordans but it surely never gets old. The colorway combined with the Stealth Grey heel and bottom sole attaches these to that great Air Jordan XX colorway that released roughly half a decade ago but now reintroduces itself in the form of the successful hybrid Air Jordan Spiz’ike. These aren’t set for a release until June 5th but these can be in your hands by bidding on a pair from shaolin8 on eBay.

For years the Air Jordan IX went unseen to the majority of the sneaker community, especially in the wake of such classics as its predeceasing Jordans. But more recently, it looks like a brighter future for the IX; at least from what it seems after spotting so many of them at Sneaker Con. The ‘Powder Blues’ were a highly anticipated release, as well as the Bin 23′s set for next month. But another retro that caused a bit of a stir is this Citrus colorway.
A popular combo right behind the staple Bred colorway, black and yellow has never been bestowed upon a pair of 9′s until now. Not too loud but not too subtle, the smart blocking of black, white and rich yellow make for a great matchup to the heavy hitters of this 2010. Aside the colorway, the leather actually looks promising as opposed to some other retros of late. The metallic sheen in the mudguard, as seen in the white/black/red and Charcoals adds an extra level of subtle character to the overall look. Take a full look at this July release, or head over to Osneaker if you’re the lucky sizes they have left.

Regardless of a dope new colorway, limited quantity, or hype, the OG trumps all. Gluttonous Jordan fans are being treated to a number of great Air Jordan IX Retros in 2010 but the tried-and-true original Chicago Bulls colorway can never be tried or denied. Although the OG colorway of the Air Jordan IX released just two years ago as part of the Air Jordan IX/XIV Countdown Package, a stand-alone release will hit us this August. The Air Jordan IX is one of the least produced of the Air Jordan Retros and MJ himself never wore a pair in an NBA game until his final season as a Washington Wizard, but the 2010 releases should boost the IX back into the limelight. Continue reading for a better look and let us know which 2010 Air Jordan IX release is tops. via kinstor.

Stefan Janoski’s Nike SB signature ushered in a new era of subtlety for the Swoosh skate division when it debuted last year. From the boat shoe inspiration to the various ‘mature’ colorways and premium fabrics, the Nike SB Stefan Janoski has great potential to push the brand toward a new and exciting direction. With these black buffalo flannel joints, we’ve seen several plaid SBs, but the tonal black application on these attains a whole ‘nother level of dopeness. With these set to never reach retail, your only shot at attaining them is to grab this US men’s size 9 sample from xGumsolesx on eBay.

If you’re a consistent reader of Sneaker News, you’re familiar with our feeds of Bespoke iD productions. Unlike the adorned and long-missed 255 Studio that was invite-only, anyone can make an appointment for a rare Bespoke iD experience… if you have $820 lying around. But the results are extraordinary, being able to obtain colors, materials and features that are certainly unavailable through the regular Nike iD option and rarely even seen on Nike releases.
Sneaker Freaker’s very own, M.A.F.I.A., was in the States earlier this month on a slew of sneaker related events, including that of Sneaker Friends in Hotlanta. But before she headed back down under, a-must on the to-do list was going through to 21 Mercer for her own Bespokes to be manifested. While the pair is still in production you can check out her process and the choices she opted for; her influence being the Hot Lava Air Tech Challenge. Check out the full review at SF, and stay tuned for the final result.

The Nike Air Max Skyline was a popular hit last year with its retro straight-outta-the-90′s styling, and it seems Nike tried to reach out to those with a penchant for older styling. This new colorway of the Skyline features a Livestrong-esque combination of black, yellow, grey, and white, with a special tongue tag logo in green while the two-toned laces also add a special trail-shoe flavor. Nike 6.0 might be considered as the runt of the Nike Sportswear group, playing second fiddle to the hype behind Nike SB and the legacy of Nike Sportswear. Six-Oh quietly released some outstanding shoes in 2010 but this new Nike 6.0 model called the Brazen is just that – a sure sign that 6.0 is a contender and will boldly step on its older siblings’ toes if it has to. Featuring a chukka-style design, the Nike 6.0 Brazen features a synthetic leather and suede upper with an eye-catching sidewall design like layers of sands in an empty soda bottle. An aptly sized swoosh and an Aina-like heeltab are just some of the design features on this upcoming hit, with two colorways (a grey/orange/blue and blk/grey/blue) slated for release. Check out the upcoming colorways after the jump and let us know what you think about this latest Nike 6.0 model.

Nike as we know it today traces its roots back to Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman’s Blue Ribbon Sports. BRS was founded in 1964 and released a soccer model dubbed ‘Nike’ in ’71, but it wasn’t until 1978 that BRS, Inc. officially changed its name to Nike, Inc. In the process of redefining itself, Nike redefined athletic footwear and apparel and are celebrating by bringing in, you guessed it: 78 creatives from a variety of disciplines to create NIKE78. For each of these collaborators, their challenge is to, again, redefine Nike footwear, but in an artistic sense, to be displayed during September’s London Design Festival. Check out more Swoosh re-imaginations after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the latest looks from NIKE78, which has an online gallery opening this Sunday, May 30th. via SxH
