Kanye West hails from the “city of hella haters” but over the last week, he was spotted roaming around South of Houston St. doing a little personal shopping. Kanye’s white tee and jeans outfit was as simple as you can get, but check out the Air Jordan Spiz’ike Fresh Since ’85 he broke out for the day. Kanye’s talent and charisma is to credit for his meteoric rise but his love for kicks has been well documented as well – has footwear collection with Louis Vuitton and the Nike Air Yeezy were outstanding hits in 2009. Do we have another Kanye West x Nike release in store soon? Continue reading for a gallery of images and let us know what you think of Kanye’s ‘fit. via KanyeWest.us.

Sneaker-themed birthday cakes were all over the place last year, but here’s the first one we’ve seen in 2010. Following a couple Air Yeezys, an Air Jordan and a single Air Foamposite One, here’s the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 as built with sugar, flour and egg. Sneaker News reader Milton Chow sent us these images of the Fresh Water Griffeys that are true to last year’s retro, save one significant detail. You’ll notice that on the ankle strap’s velcro fastener, Griffey’s 24 has been replaced with 21 to designate the occasion for this delicacy. Put something over your keyboard to protect from drool and click the jump below for more images.

Andre Agassi won the French Open in 1999 to complete his career Grand Slam, but he blames the mullet wig he wore at Roland Garros in 1990 as the reason he lost that tourney. French DJ Bob Sinclar (often misspelled ‘Sinclair’) clearly has a healthy head of (his own) hair, but 20 years after the original, he showed up rocking a perfect OG Agassi look for a celebrity match in Paris. Sinclar nailed the whole fit, from the fluorescent and irregularly-striped polo to matching asymmetrical bike shorts under stonewashed denim, and of course, you can’t forget the Nike Air Tech Challenge II in Hot Lava. It’s Halloween in May over in northern France, and here’s our vote for best costume.

Not too long ago, it was rare to find Jordan Brand releases featuring the Air Jordan III’s famed elephant print. It’s become increasingly common over the past two years or so, to see the cement-n-black crackle and now you can even find it on JB’s lifestyle sneaker releases. This new Air Jordan Flight SC-1 has a sort of True Blue AJIII-minus-red look to it, thanks to a black and white design with the aforementioned print and bright blue laces. Take a look at more images after the jump, and let us know: how do these stack up against the Chicago-style and Oreo versions of the Flight SC-1? via Kinstor

The Orlando Magic live for another day but the team clearly needs more than just a few trick up their sleeves to win the series. Out West, the Phoenix Suns were in the middle of their own raging comeback, as they tied up their series with the LA Lakers behind a roaring performance by the reserves. We’ve already showed you the Nike representation in the NBA Playoffs so let’s take a look at some NBA players that have shined a light on other brands. We know KG and Dwight Howard are the big-men for adidas but check out Andrew Bynum’s new colorway of his Protege sig-shoe and Jameer Nelson’s Reeboks. Take a look at the gallery of images from the last two games of the NBA Conference Finals after the jump. via Yahoo!.

Among the more interesting looks from yesterday’s Jordan Brand Fall 2010 collection preview is the new Air Jordan Force XII (AJF 12) pictured above. These hearken back to the 1997 NBA All Star Game where MJ was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history and recorded the only All Star Game triple-double ever. In the thirteen years since then, we’ve seen these retroed once, but it was as a lowtop version in 2004 which almost doesn’t qualify because the Air Jordan XII Low didn’t release in 1996-97 alongside the OG XIIs and didn’t show up until ’04. Maybe that’s why this shoe looks so great, but it’s also entirely possible that this is the best AJF design yet. They’ll hit Jordan Brand retailers like Foot Locker on August 28th so check out more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Jordan Brand’s gold standard is their new Premio-designated Bin 23 collection, so it’s only fitting to see the second release from this exclusive tier with the metallic hue. The Air Jordan IX Retro Premio has been teased for what feels like an eternity, but you can finally buy your own Midas touch. That’s not to say it’ll be easy, though, as the June 5th release will be extremely limited, but if you’re looking to get your hands on these, act fast and grab a pair early from KicksCrew.

Here’s one vote in favor of Beaverton regularly releasing new colorways of the Nike Blazer High Vintage. After a series of superb, if sporadic drops over the past couple of years, it appears the VNTG Blazer has settled into a nice quarterly release, and models like these new suede joints are sure to be a hit with the ‘mature’ crowd. The Varsity Red and Varsity Royal suede uppers are reminiscent of February 2009′s Vintage Glory Pack, but you’ll notice that today’s version features a slightly less pre-yellowed sole. If you slept on those, these are a can’t-miss, and you can pre-order one or both from the UK’s EndClothing.

The Air Attack Pack models finally hit retail and with all that monochromatic goodness, you’ve gotta be careful not to sleep on these new Nike Trainer SC 2010s. They’re not a complete departure from the single-toned Air Attack editions, relying on a tonal grey upper comprised of two favorite Nike dark shades: Anthracite and Cool Grey. Toss in a little neon on the Flywire strands and Max Air cushion and these are another solid look for the summer season. Grab yours today from Eastbay.

Another strong release for the ladies. At first what seems to be a hot pink canvas upper turns out to in fact be a textile with silver weaved into the underlay to create a grid-like speckle effect. A nice accent for a bright summer shoe, especially complimented by the metallic silver Swoosh. The tonal midsole adds for a clean look, rather than being hit was gratuitous white or some other random tone. Available now at Wish ATL

Here’s a perfect shoe to rock to a wedding if you’re really into that whole old-new-borrowed-blue thing. The Puma Whirlwind II initially released in 1980 (old), but it’s been in the vaults pretty much the entire time since then, and we’ve never seen them here on Sneaker News (new). They come to you in a popular look for this season: two-toned with a white/gum sole (borrowed), and of course, they’re done in a mix of nylon and suede that’s all blue. Tie the knot at the top of yours after you cop a pair from Britain’s Size?

If someone mentioned ‘Festive Green’, you’d probably think of St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas trees, or perhaps, ahem, the ‘Skunk’ Nike SB Dunk High that released this April. Well now it’s likely to be permanently associated with the new Nike SB Stefan Janoski pictured above. Clean and subtle as ever, these Janoskis go with a lush green suede upper accented by black piping, plus white laces and sole. As you’ll see in some sample images after the jump, this new version has been changed slightly, so which one would you rather see as a July 2010 release? via N-SB.org
