What is a collaboration? It’s more than just a simple partnership of “here, pick a colorway”. A successful collaboration occurs when two sides realize that a connection could result in something bigger and better than what can be accomplished alone. That might behind the theme of the DC shoes Artist Projects Series, because every DC x SSUR production has been outstanding at the very least. This latest colorway that SSUR conjured up is inspired by his Caviar Cartel clothing line, using his home Russia as his muse. The red pair is inspired by the “Iron Curtain” of the Soviet Regimen while the black pair hints at the black market and caviar, the “black gold” or Russia. The shoe is truly personalized by a shark logo on the heel and Caviar Cartel branding on the shoe, with a meticulous graphic on the bottom sole that was also present on previous DC x SSUR productions.
