Converse Basketball is without a superstar endorsee, so it makes sense to turn the aesthetic dial back to an era when the One Star was number one on-court. The Converse Free Agent is a new hightop basketball sneaker designed for outdoor use on the asphalt. Unlike playground models like the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Outdoor and AJ2010 Outdoor, these have a strictly old-school look about them, coming off somewhere between the famed Weapon and Star Player models. The pair pictured above is done in a lush, lightly tumbled black leather that gives off a silvery shine like pewter when the light is right.
