Most people recognize Lacoste polos by their little gator, but did you know the man for whom the company is named had a major impact on the evolution of tennis?  Rene Lacoste developed the steel tennis raquet back in 1963, and from then until lighter, stronger aluminum designs caught on, the steel racket won nearly 50 grand slam titles.  That extended period of excellence is the impetus behind this Lacoste Steel Raquets Collection.  Featuring hightops and lowtops with metallic mesh and matte silver leather, these have an inkling of wooden raquets in their use of brown leather accents.  Check for these at your local Lacoste dealer starting in July.  via SM
