John Wall is a mortal lock to be selected first overall by the Washington Wizards in tonight’s NBA Draft, and this is something Reebok clearly understands, judging by the colorways for his upcoming signature sneaker. As we showed you yesterday, Wall worked out with The Wiz while wearing a couple colorways of the upcoming Reebok Zig Slash. Unlike the Kentucky-fried colorway that he first appeared in, these new Zig Slashes featured healthy portions of black, with one going the extra mile and adding gold to match the Wizards’ unis. It’ll be interesting to see in the coming years how Wall’s career and RBK’s basketball resurgence work hand in hand, so stick with Sneaker News for the latest on John Wall sneakers.

Kobe fans were surprised with a special treat when Nike mocked two great Home and Away colorways of the Zoom Kobe V for the NBA Finals. Kobe wore the Big Stage Kobe V for seven games en route to his fifth NBA Championship. During the Championship Parade in LA, Kobe Bryant was seen wearing a new colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V; it features the same laser graphic print on the upper but on the toe guard and forefoot panel, the graphic is sketched in Laker purple. The swoosh also features the reverse coloring, featuring a gold border with a purple interior. There are also some video recaps of the parade after the jump so check ‘em out and let us know what you think of this newest Nike Zoom Kobe V colorway. via KB24.

Whether or not you were one of the lucky few who could get your hands on the Air Jordan VI Infrared Pack, here’s another new shoe with that immortal shade of pinkish-red that’s sure to turn heads this summer. The Nike Air Trainer SC 2010 Low has an almost radioactive look to it thanks to thin lines of Infrared peeking out of an otherwise black design. It’s particularly interesting to see this ‘nucular’ look with a red contrast, as most of the superhero-looking kicks of late have featured Volt or some other neon green/yellow shade. One of the more unique uses of Infrared in quite a while, these Trainer SC 2010 Lows are available from FinishLine.

Monday was Go Skateboarding Day, and if it weren’t for guys like the designer of these new Dunks, there’s a good chance skating never would have gotten big enough for its own ‘holiday’. Neil Blender was shredding the streets back when old school decks meant nollies were impossible, and here’s another Nike SB Dunk (a Low this time) inspired by Blender’s Chromeball Incident comic from the ’80s -slash- classic skate blog. Their medium grey overlay still isn’t exactly chrome, but the four-toned colorway hearkens back to skate aesthetics from days gone by; specifically, one of the Airwalk Enigma colorways. Stick with Sneaker News for what looks like a quickly approaching release; Japan’s Arktz is pre-selling in advance of their June 26th release.

It’s not hard to spot clothing/graphics done by Brooklyn-based urban apparel designer Mishka; lot’s of bright colors and twisted takes on cartoon illustrations are somewhat of a norm for Mishka’s graphic tees, and it showed its true colors in this collaboration with skate-shoe purveyor Adio. The Mishka x Adio Vengeance Mid features a turquoise, pink, and black colorway with a Mishka branded lace dubrae, a special tongue tag, and a beaded heel tab. With a skater-friendly design and a durable cup sole. the Adio Vengeance would be suitable for shredding Owl’s Head Skate Park. This great collab is now available from online retailer routeone.

When we got a look at the Bodega x Saucony Shadow 5000 collaboration back in February, the initial word didn’t reveal the entire story. Turns out, these Boston-based brands were working together to create an entire line of premium kicks that will be distributed ONLY in Japan. Saucony Elite will see small runs of ultra-luxe retro kicks issued under its umbrella, and from the looks of these first pairs, the collection is as good as it gets. Click the jump for more shots and stick with Sneaker News, cos it’ll probably be impossible for Bodega to resist the urge to release at least a few of these here in their Beantown location. via SF

Sneaker News showed you two upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 as part of our Nike Retro Basketball Spring 2011 Preview. Here’s a closer look at one of the two colorways; Black and Varsity Purple is a first for the Nike Penny line (remember, the Nike Air Foamposite One isn’t technically part of the Penny Line) but you might remember the Phoenix Suns colorway of the Nike Air Max Penny IV that had hints of orange as well. This Black/Purple Penny 1 features an all-black upper with black/white piping, a black/purple jewel swoosh, and a purple air unit. Check out the extra pics after the jump and expect these to hit Nike basketball retailers come Spring 2011.

It’s time for dessert again, Sneaker News style; check out this latest sneaker-inspired cake, taking after the super-limited Nike Air Force 1 Playstation. The colorway of the shoe is pretty spot on, from the blue-purple gradient on the rear panel to the AIR on the midsole. However the shoe shape is more Waffle Racer than Nike Air Force 1, but this cake is surely a gallant effort nonetheless. Now we’ve seen cakes inspired by kicks of all kinds, like the impossible to attain Playstation x Nike Air Force 1 to shoes that are available at local stores like the Nike Air Max Griffey Freshwater. It’s all a matter of preference, but who doesn’t love cake? Check out the images after the jump and let us know what you think of this latest deadstock dessert! A big thanks to Kasem for the pics!

When “The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles, where there are no lakes,” they kept their team name and winning tradition intact. Their latest victory was the Lake Show’s sixteenth chip, a resume only surpassed by the Boston Celtics team they just beat. Kobe Bryant moved from 8 to 24 a couple years back, and with 16 right in the middle, here’s a look at the Kobe ‘Banner’ Tee from Nike Basketball. This purple t-shirt features banners from each of the Lakers’ championships and will be available soon at NikeStore.com.

Bun B and Dee of Dee and Ricky attended the Dee and Ricky x Casio G-Shock event in New York City at the Bowery Hotel on Tuesday night and both showed up wearing some dope sneakers. For Bun B it was a pair of the Black and Ice patent leather Air Force 1′s which were released recently and are still available on ebay. Dee on the other hand may be the first person in the US who we’ve seen wearing the CLOT x Converse Product (RED) Jack Purcell’s, he matched his kicks with quite an outfit that included a Billionaire Boys Club blazer and a new Dee and Ricky LEGO accessory. Also in attendance was Ricky and Donnis who performed a short set at the party.
