The other day Sneaker News showed you a playful take on the Nike Livestrong campaign in the form a Nike Sweet Classic Low that features a bicycle graphic on the midsole. The women’s take on this idea also comes in the form of the Nike Sweet Classic but in a high-top; the bright varsity maize upper features the same bicycle graphic (look carefully!) in all-over print fashion, with a Livestrong tab adjacent to the uppermost laceholes and a great “Hope” logo on the tongue. This latest pair of the Nike Livestrong product line just dropped at Finishline.

Nike N7 is committed to “bring sport and all of its benefits to Native American and Aboriginal communities in the USA and Canada.” It started with the Nike Huarache 09 and luckily for fans of the original, it has spawned its owned nicknamed colorway. The N7 edition Nike Zoom BB II Low Trash Talk applies the black, white, red and soft blue combo to a design resurrected from 2008 and an upper that’s been recycled from scraps. Fitting to see Steve Nash’s signature matched with a good cause, these N7 Zoom BB IIs are available now from NikeStore.

In February, New Yorkers were treated a historic art experience provided by African-born artist Kehinde Wiley and Puma; the event featured ‘Legends of Unity’ in which notable footballers from the continent wore special kits that symbolize the unity among the African countries. Coolrain, a Korean toy designer, was given the opportunity to create figurines of the three soccer players that were part of the Legends of Unity event; John Mensah (Ghana), Samuel Eto’o (Camerooon) and Emmanuel Eboue (Ivory Coast) were transformed into collectible toys and put up for exhibition. The toys are not available for purchase, but you can check them out by looking at the gallery of pics after the jump. It’s a definite treat considering we’re in the middle of World Cup frenzy! via Streething/crazytoyz

Like it or not, the Nike Dunk Low was one of the firestarters of the sneaker culture boom of the post-Y2K era, with the great City Attack series and the Nike SB Dunk Low acting as prime examples of Dunk royalty. The Nike 6.0 Dunk Low SE was introduced earlier this year as part of the Nike 6.0 action sports line-up. It features the familiar Nike Dunk upper but with a vulcanized midsole and a canvas upper and three new colorways of the 6.0 Dunk Low SE just dropped at 21 Mercer. A classic black-white, a tropical yellow and turquoise on a grey base, and a Purple/Metallic Silver are available, so hit up 21 Mercer to cop a pair.

Here’s a new colorway for the Nike Air Max Tailwind+ 2 (aka Tailwind 2010) that’s sure to have its fair share of fans. Neon green/yellow is a huge color at the moment, and there’s no better colors to pair it with than the balance-giving white/grey/black combo. The toecap and heel counter on these is a glossy black, and even though that’s quite eye-catching, chances are you’ll focus in on the Volt colored honeycomb Max Air unit. Click the jump below for more images and grab a pair from StepToRun on eBay.

Way back, long before the Jordan Brand offshoot existed, the amount of Nike Air Jordan apparel in the marketplace was significantly less abundant than what we’re used to seeing nowadays. There was only so much Jordan apparel released each season, making it all the more coveted, and in retrospect, it made each piece of original Jordan apparel that much more memorable now. Each year, after the signature Jordan sneaker model (of course), the next most prized item from Nike’s annual Air Jordan collection was undeniably the warm-up suit. In an age where it was much more common to match all your gear from head to toe, the yearly warm-up suit that accompanied each Air Jordan sneaker release was nearly as sought-after as the shoes themselves.
Embodying the same kind of sleek style and slick aesthetic as the beloved Nike Air Jordan sneakers, those early warm-ups were a late 80′s/early 90′s status symbol, just like the kicks they complemented. With today’s oversaturated market and the overwhelming flood of Jordan Brand apparel filling every store, this type of phenomenon hasn’t been captured in quite some time. The classic Jordan sneaker models have pretty much all been retroed at this point, but when (if ever) will we see the return of some of this timelessly fresh gear? Keep reading to take a look at some forgotten Air Jordan flavor in the Bred installment of our vintage Air Jordan warm-up retrospective, and stay tuned for more coming later this week. Jay-Z was one of the David Letterman’s guests on The Late Show this past week; the rap mogul was spotted at the side-entrance of the Ed Sullivan Theatre wearing a classic outfit consisting of a white v-neck t-shirt, designer jeans, and a crispy pair of the adidas Originals Superstar in White and Obsidian with a matching New York Yankees fitted to boot. Spotted alongside Jay-Z was Eminem, who hasn’t been spotted much due to his devotion to Recovery, his next studio album; Em was seen leaving the show wearing a pair of Nike Air Max LTD – the same shoe he wore during his performance with Drake and Lil’ Wayne at the Grammys. Continue reading for another look at Jay-Z and Eminem with their fresh kicks.

Sneaker News recently showed you a sick quintet of the Nike Air Classic BW designed by HK-based CLOT, celebrating CLOT’s sixth anniversary. One of those great colorways was to commemorate the opening of JUICE in Hong Kong; the all-brown colorway features a mix of premium materials like suede and leather, and you’ll notice a different CLOT logo stamped on the outer toe area of the shoe and the roman numeral VI on the tongue. This pair was dressed with a pair of light green laces for added contrast. Again, these are a special pair made just for the event meaning a release won’t happen, so check out the images after the jump and let us know what you think of this colorway.

Back in February 21 Mercer released the Nike Air Max 1 Try-on for public purchase. The Try-on is somewhat of a “test pair” of the Nike Air Max 1 iD given to customizers, enabling each to get a visual and physical feel of the Nike iD options. The Try-on features a suede mudguard, mesh toe, paint splatter on the forefoot, heelguard, and upper lace eyelet, and 3M-reflective on the swoosh, all on a light-grey base colorway. The Try-on was once available exclusively at 21 Mercer but a limited run has popped at Sneaker Politics in Lafayette, Louisiana, so pay a visit or give them a call if you need these. via NK.

Summer isn’t just for basketball; tennis is as much of an outdoor summer-time sport as shooting hoops can be. Last week we showed you a new colorway of the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 2.3 in all-over neon green colorway. This new colorway of cool grey, neptune blue, white, and electric green features a shout-out to Andre Agassi with the lava splattering that was featured on Agassi’s signature Nike Air Tech Challenge II. The Courtballistec 2.3 features an updated outrigger on the lateral side for better side-to-side movement and a Lunarlite midsole for optimal cushioning. Need a tennis shoe option? This colorway just dropped at Nikestore.

New Balance has done plenty of combat-inspired kicks and tons with Gore-Tex enhancement, and this new pack finds itself somewhere in the middle. The New Balance MTG580 ‘B-3′ and ‘MA-1′ are inspired by bomber jackets and nylon flight jackets, respectively. While the former is somewhat iffy with its apparent lack of sheepskin, the olive green MA-1s are true to their muse with a dope ripstop and GTX upper. These just hit Japanese retailers, so stick with Sneaker News for updates on a possible US drop. via SM
